9- Defeat Captain Kuro/Usopp Joins Us!
9- Defeat Captain Kuro/Usopp Joins Us!
Kurahdol was laying on the ground after having his claws snapped. He was motionless, probably from the shock. They seem like heavy duty metal, one that won't break. It's no wonder he won't get up and fight. The men below us were more than scared and shocked out of their minds. I could smell their fear from here.
"That guy... He broke Captain Kuro's Cat Claw!" Yup, heavy, unbreakable metal that was snapped off like a toothpick.
Luffy's smug grin grew wider. "That only leaves five of those weird swords left!" He taunted and Kuro shook, holding his head with the useless glove. He slammed the rock on the ground next to him. Kuro started to get up slowly. If he can still stand, even with me almost tearing out his spine, then he can still fight. But I know his fancy footwork, so I can counter it.
"Scratch him up and defeat him, Captain Kuro!" One shouted from below.
"Hey, that name is taboo now." Another corrected him.
"I think him name in the village is Kurah- something." They contemplated. Really guys? Really? In the middle of a fight?
"Kurah-san then." A fat one said.
"Kurah-san! Get him!" Everyone shouted in unison. I sweat dropped. Really?
I almost didn't hear what Kurahdol said. "Be quiet, you!" He got up a bit more and I saw blood running down his face. They heard him, though. All the shouting stopped in less than a second. "I'll come and exterminate every last one of you later." He got up and I saw his reflection on his blades. He looked terrible! "Jango too, of course!" He added in with a click of his good claws. That's just wrong. He was the only one who really followed directions, not that I'm defending him or anything.
"Why us?!" They cried.
"Please stop joking around, Captain Kuro!"
"It's still not too late for us to attack the village, right?!"
"And if Captain Jango gets her to write her will, the plan would still work!"
He separated his blades, making them slide together. "You need not worry about the plan; your corpses will be enough for me to place the blame on you." My mouth opened slightly. He never planned to keep them alive because they know the real Captain Kuro is still alive.
"I never intended for you to leave this village from the start." He reiterated for me. "I can't have people who know I'm alive exist."
"You can't be serious!" They backed away, appalled by what he said. "Then you planned to kill us from the very start?!"
"That's right." He confirmed. "Since three years ago, when I was still known as Captain Kuro, it was all part of my plan!"
"Man!" Luffy exclaimed. "You guys are all dumb! You're such an uncool pirate group!"
" 'Uncool'?" Kurahdol pushed his glasses up. "Pirate groups are nothing more than a collection of social outcasts." I'll remember that the next time we face someone, see if his theory is true. "Without plans, what can they possibly do?! Every last one should shut up and follow my plans! Crew members are loyal pawns to the captain!"
"Whether my men live or die is all up to my orders as a leader." Can we kill him yet? "No matter how powerful the obstacle, they simply need to stand up to it and die for my plan." Luffy disagreed. It was written all over his face. Kurahdol saw this and was slightly confused. His cool, undivided stare was intimidating him. "This is how pirates are! Don't talk down to me, traveler boy!"
Hn! He's in for an earful.
"No matter how many hundreds or thousands of men follow you as their captain, you'll never be better than Usopp!" Ouch! Burn! Take that, Kurahdol! Go Luffy! Everyone below us gasped in pure terror as to what could happen next.
"What?!" He roared. "You're saying I'm inferior to a kid pretending to be a pirate captain?!"
"That's right!" Luffy hit him where it hurts: His ego.
Kurahdol let out a boisterous laugh. "You're hilarious!" He got into a fighting stance. I slipped into one and waited for him to make his move against me, his crew, or Luffy. "Don't get cocky just because you snapped one of my claws! How exactly his he better than me?! Let's hear it!"
Here it comes. I watched his feet as they preformed his disappearing act and he vanished. Luffy gave a hard laugh. "Character." Kurahdol was behind him.
"Luffy!" I cried out.
"What?!" He exclaimed.
"You don't know what a true pirate is!" Luffy twisted around and his fist connected with Kurahdol, sending him into the slope wall in a huge cloud of debris and dust. His arm stretched back into place as he showed off by jumping in the air and landing on one knee and a foot, his hand resting on his right knee. No one from the crew saw that one coming.
I clapped my hands. "Good, now be a little less show-offy."
"Couldn't help it." He said while standing up.
"This is a battle," I held one hand out at my side. "Not a talent show."
"How insulting..." Luffy and I turned to where Kurahdol had gone flying. "If you want to know about real pirates that much, then I'll show you that terror." He smoothed his hair back. "The terror of a pirate who's been face-to-face with death many times!" He hunched over and swayed, his claws clanking on the ground every now and then. A new technique for me to add to my book.... I watched closely.
"Hey! That stance! Is he-"
"He's gonna use that technique!" Ooh! Must be a good one!
"But he's only fighting one guy!"
"But that's definitely it!" Luffy glanced over his shoulder at them.
"He's planning to use the Out of the Back attack!" What a stupid name! I chuckled and Luffy stared at me.
"Sorry," I said. "The name sounds stupid." He gave a slight nod to show he agreed with me.
"Isn't it bad for us to be here too?!"
"He'll get us all!"
"He plans to kill us!"
"He said so earlier!"
"Please, Captain! Anything but that technique!" They begged. "We'll do anything you want!"
"Please, Captain Kuro!"
"What's the big deal?" Luffy asked with a small frown. "He's just wobbling back and forth..." Luffy began to watch him closely, too.
"Don't do it, Captain!"
"Please don't!" They began to cry like little babies. A slight wind blew by and my tail twitched uncontrollably. It's coming, I can feel it. I looked into his eyes and gasped. They were stone white like he wasn't in control of his actions. Maybe I should rethink wanting to know this move, but it might be good to at least know how to do it.
"Please stop, Captain Kuro!" But he didn't seem to be listening as he brought his blades up and disappeared with a puff of deep purple smoke.
"Luffy!" He faced me. "Hold my hand! I'm gonna see where he is!"
"Huh?"
I held out my hand. "Just do it!" He grabbed it and I concentrated. Soon, the sound of waves could no longer be heard, nor the cry of the crew. I opened my eyes and saw where he was; half way down the slope. "Watch the ground closely." His feet had frozen in the pattern of his movement and barely a puff of dust rose from the ground. "Watch for that and you can hit him, got it?" He nodded and I let things go back into action.
I followed my own advice and watched. I briefly caught a glimpse of a shadow and the first man fell in a bath of blood. "T-there!" One of the crew men shouted.
"Why there?!" Luffy shouted.
"I think I know." He turned to me. "Did you see his eyes? He's not in control of himself at the moment. He'll just randomly slash out when he feels something close to him. Like now." Another man fell. "Remember, watch closely." He focused below us again. "And there," The wall beside us had five huge gashes in them.
"Concentrate. Focus. Let nothing slip by you." I felt the tip of a blade nick my shoulder, but I ignored it. More men began to cry out in pain. They were dropping like flies, faster than before. Three went down in less than a second. Where are you, Kurahdol? They were shouting things that I could barely hear over the sound of there cries of anguish. Luffy heard them and tried to scan the area for Kuro.
Another nick on my leg and arm let me know he was close. Luffy's chest was then cut, along with his right eyebrow, but they were shallow, and he didn't notice one bit. He lowered his head as his arm was cut along with the ground to his left.
"Who do you take your friends for!" Luffy shouted out. He was beyond pissed as he tried to spot Kurahdol. Wall then rock, person, then ground, ground then person, it was a never ending cycle. Luffy gasped as his stomach was slashed and he wildly reached out. My mouth opened wide in awe as he grabbed fabric and swung his arm in an arc and brought Kurahdol to the ground on his back.
"Found you!" Luffy said triumphantly. "Now, Mira!"
I nodded. "Right." I walked up right beside him and placed my foot on him, nails digging into his skin. "Kurahdol, my father said I would kill you when I found you, right?" No answer. "He sure knows how to pick a fight with the wrong people." I made my nails grow longer and raked them across his body. Blood flew from the gash and his mouth. Five, perfectly straight deep lines wept his crimson life fluid and pooled around him. I did that a few more times to be sure and stepped back, wiping his blood off my foot. "Revenge hurts, doesn't it?"
Finally, he took his final breath.
"I will never be a man like you." Luffy said to the lifeless body at our feet.
I turned to Luffy. "Let's find the kids." He nodded and we walked off to find them.
"Hey! Wait!" A voice cried. We looked back and saw Nami on their ship with a bag of their treasures. "Don't leave me behind!" So we waited for the slow poke then headed out to find the kids. I only hope we aren't too late.
~~~~~~~
"You promise not to kill them, right?" I heard Kaya ask. We're too late! She already wrote her will! I was about ready to charge in there when I saw Zoro carrying Usopp a fair distance away from us and closing in fast on Jango. I held Luffy back and told him to watch and listen. He reluctantly agreed.
"Don't worry," Jango spun the ring on his finger. "I may not look like it, but I'm known for being an honest man." Kaya whimpered as he shoved her harder against a tree.
"Kaya-san!" The kids cried out, but they needn't worry. For right then and there, Zoro came charging towards him, Usopp ditched on the ground.
"That's far enough, hypno-freak!" He shouted.
"He followed me here?!" Jango questioned. "Looks like I better finish this here."
"Wait," I held Luffy down.
"Now you die!" Jango shouted.
"Oh, no, you don't!" The kids let out a battle cry and charged Jango, each holding onto the shovel to give it more momentum. They drove it hard into his backside and he bowed back.
He straightened back up and swung his leg. "You damn brats!" He kicked them and sent them flying. He grabbed Kaya again just as Zoro neared the clearing. "Looks like you're too late, Haramaki*!"
"I wouldn't say so!" Zoro said as he cut a tiny branch that was in the way.
"... Really, Zoro?" I sweat dropped them looked beyond him and saw Usopp lying on the ground, sling shot ready. He said something then readied his shot.
"Usopp-san!" Kaya cried.
"Captain!" The kids yelled.
"Special Attack: Exploding Star!" Usopp yelled as he let go of the sling. A tiny, yellow ball whizzed by and struck Jango, exploding in his face. Kaya screamed and ducked as he let go, his glasses flying off his face and breaking.
We stood up and met with Zoro as he went back for Usopp. "Great cutting," I complimented him. "Good as ever."
He looked me over. "You alright?"
I nodded. "Never better. My wounds are healing as we speak and it will only add to the ones I already have."
"Will you tell us about them?" He asked.
I stopped, the wind blowing my hair out beside me. "Yeah..." Zoro paused and turned his upper half to me. "Maybe." If I can handle it. I started walking again and met up with him.
"Will Luffy be alright?"
I nodded again. "Yup."
"You're unbelievable!" I heard Nami shout. We turned around to see that Luffy had collapsed and Nami trying to smother him with his own hat. I laughed.
"Weirdos." I chuckled.
We found Kaya and the kids next to Usopp. I left Zoro and went to listen in on their conversation. "Can you keep everything that happened here a secret?" Usopp had asked.
"EH?! A secret?! How come?!" Ninjin questioned.
"Yeah!" Piiman added. "After we just fought for the villager's sake?!"
"Everyone will change their opinion about you!" Tamanegi chimed in. "You could be the village hero!"
"Usopp-san, you need to clear up everyone's misunderstandings." Kaya agreed.
"Misunderstand?" Usopp smirked. "I was always called an exaggerator, like always. There's no need to scare everyone with something that's already over." I agree with the guy. It makes perfect sense.
I sat down beside him. "So it was all a lie, like always?" I teased.
"Yeah!" He agreed. "Like always. Aside from things like this, no pirates will show up to attack a remote village like this one." He removed his goggles. "I'm going to pretend this never happened. It was all a lie!" The kids were in awe after what he said, their mouths hanging open. "I won't force you to, but,"
"No! I can do it! If it's for the best for the village!" Ninjin clenched his fist.
"Me too!" Piiman added.
"Me too!" Tamanegi chimed in last, as usual. "I'll never say a word!" As the kids said they would never tell a soul, Usopp turned to Kaya.
"Kaya," She looked at him. "Will it be hard for you?"
She smiled, closed her eyes, and shook her head. "No."
We all decided to head back to the North Shore. The pirates had cleared out and they took their captain with them.
"Thanks," Usopp said out of the blue. "I would have never been able to protect this village without you guys."
"What're you talking about?" Zoro asked. "If you hadn't done nothing, I would've done nothing!" He teased.
"Me too!" Luffy agreed. He was lying on his back.
"Who cares about that?!" Nami chirped. "I got me some treasure!"
I sighed. "I might have done something, but who knows? It didn't happen that way."
Usopp laughed at Nami then gazed toward the sea. Kaya had gone back to her mansion and the kids were somewhere. All seemed peaceful. "This incident has led me to make a decision." Usopp broke the silence.
"Huh?" Luffy tilted his head back to look at Usopp.
"I'm going to be a pirate."
Luffy gave a dorky grin. "Fine by me!"
"Yes!" He jumped in the air. "I've got to tell my crew and give them the big news." And he took off running to tell his mini crew what he planned to do.
"All in favor of crushing his dreams?" I asked jokingly. We laughed. "Nah, I wouldn't do that to a friend." Something fluttered by my feet. "Bah~!" I picked it up. "My hat fell victim to Kurahdol's claws..."
"Mine didn't!" Luffy boasted.
I stuck my tongue out at him. "Anyways, it's no big deal. I can always get a new one when the time comes. Maybe at the next town or something."
We fell silent for the next few moments until Luffy broke it. "Sorry I interrupted your story. Will you tell us more?"
My face fell and I gazed at the open waters. I didn't say anything for what seemed like hours. "Yeah-"
"YES!" He cheered.
"But not until Usopp gets back." I snapped. "If he's gonna be a part of this crew, he needs to know."
"Understandable." Luffy sighed and stared up at the sky.
Can I do this without breaking down?
~~~~~~~
We were back at the restaurant where we first started talking with Usopp. Luffy had a fish bone in his mouth and I was chowing down on a fish fillet.
"Well, we've eaten. We should get going now." Zoro sighed.
"Yeah." Luffy agreed. The door to the shop chimed letting us know that someone was coming in.
"Here you are!" A female voice said.
I peeked over the booth and waved. "Hi, Kaya!"
"Hey, miss!" Luffy greeted.
"Are you alright being out of bed?" Nami leaned over and asked.
"Yes," She said. "My sickness this past year was caused by the mental dismay of losing both my parents. And Usopp-san really cheered me up! I can't stay coddled forever!" She gave a happy smile. "You've done so much for me. Thank you. I've prepared a present for you from the bottom of my heart! Please accept it!" She led us to the shore and there, floating in the waters, was a grand ship for us to sail in.
"Ah..." I awed at the ship, one of the largest I'd ever seen. It had red and white striped sails and a large top deck and lower deck. The figurehead was a sheep, but I didn't mind. It was perfect for us, until we got a bigger ship.
"A caravel!" Nami exclaimed.
"Can we really have this?!" Luffy asked the sheep man and Kaya.
"Yes," Kaya said. "Please use it!"
"It's a slightly older model," Sheep said. "But I personally designed it! A caravel-make caravel with lateen sails and a central stern rudder... The Going Merry!" He exclaimed. "Let me explain the running rigging. First, about the Kruger net yard adjustment-"
"No no!" Nami put herself in front of Luffy, her arms spread wide out. "You can explain the ship stuff to me!"
Luffy walked away to get a closer look at the ship. "What a good ship! Especially this front! It's so cool!"
"We've loaded it with everything you might need on a voyage." Kaya went on to explain.
"Thanks!" Luffy said. "It leaves nothing to beat tired!"
Zoro huffed. " 'Leaves nothing to be desired', baka."
We then heard screaming as something came right at us. We looked to the top of the slope and saw an over packed bag and a strapped on Usopp rolling toward us. "Stop this thing!" He begged. Kaya seemed concerned.
"Usopp-san!" She cried.
"What's he doing?" Luffy asked.
"Let's just stop him for now." Zoro offered. "He's on a collision course with the ship."
I raised my hand. "I'll help!" Luffy, Zoro, and I raised our feet and stopped the run away bag.
"Thanks..." Our feet had connected with Usopp's face.
I chuckled. "You're welcome!" We got him unhooked from his bag. Did he pack his whole house?! While Usopp said his goodbyes, I went out in search for my katana. "There you are!" I cried triumphantly. I plucked it out of the ground and wiped the blood off of it. I've done so much with this thing, I'm surprised it hasn't broken yet.
I made my way back on the ship and got on just before it left. We waved to the two people on shore, Usopp flailing his arms madly, tears streaming down his face.
"Cheers to our new ship and crew mate!" We clanked our tankards together.
"CHEERS!" I downed mine and choked. "BLEGH! Zoro! How can you stand this crap! It's awful!" They laughed at me and we continued on our way. I'm glad to be a pirate.
~~~~~~
Nami lit a lamp and placed it in the middle of us. "Okay, Mira. We're ready. Are you?"
"Mm-hm." I nodded and stared into the small flame in the lantern. They'd already briefed Usopp on what I had already told them. "So, I left off with the Marines finding me." I began. "When they found me, I told you that Helmemppo had ordered them to give me my birthday treat." I shuddered. "Thank God that only the faint scars show what happened time and time again and not the huge ones that always follow."
"What happened?" Usopp asked.
I let the interruption slide. "They whipped me." Everyone gasped. "Ten whippings. They started doing that on each of the birthdays after my parents left. One whip for every year I had been alive." I brought my knees to my chest and hugged them. A lone tear streaked down my left cheek. "I hated my parents for leaving me in that condition. Hated them with a passion. I still hate them, but I want to prove to them that I am not the no good person they say I am!"
Determination filled me. "I will make a name for myself! I'll become the exact opposite of what they said I would be! I am not a weapon of mass destruction! I am a pirate!"
"Isn't that the same thing?" Nami asked.
"Don't ruin my dream!" I snapped and settled back down. "They said I'd destroy the world if I ever left my island, but I don't believe them. I will prove them wrong."
"Cheers to that." Zoro chugged the rest of his sake.
I smiled. "Will you guys help me?"
"Of course!" Luffy exclaimed.
"Anything for a friend." Nami winked.
"You helped me!" Usopp said. "I'll help you back."
"Anything to prove someone wrong." Zoro belched.
I giggled. "Thanks guys." I yawned. "I'm heading to bed. Let me know when we hit land." I found a room and fell right to sleep on the cot.
That night, my past haunted me, but it wasn't too bad. Since I had told someone about it, it didn't seem too bad anymore.
~~~~~~~
The next day started out very interestingly. Usopp was claiming he was the captain with his foot up on the railing at the front of the ship. "Foolish pirates." I looked up from cleaning my katana. "You'd knowingly attack the invincible fleet," He spun around quickly and drew his fake sword. "Commanded by the Captain Usopp-sama of the Going Merry?!" He leaped over the edge down to the main deck. "Attack them, men! Attack!" He began to whack at nothing. Finally, he noticed no one was paying attention.
Nami was looking over her maps, Zoro was... I glanced over at him. That lazy piece of shit was sleeping again! I looked over to Luffy. He was leaning over a black cloth and had a couple paint cans next to him.
Zoro yawned. He's more lazy than a Lazy Daisy cake.
"Come on, you guys," Usopp complained. "At least show some interest in other people..."
"Hi." I got back to cleaning my sword.
He sweat dropped. "That's not what I meant..."
"All done!" Luffy shouted, making Usopp nearly jump out of his skin. "Look! A pirate flag! Now that Usopp's joined and we have five people, we need to have our own mark!"
I cocked my head to the side. "Where?" The poor Jolly Roger had a disfigured version of Luffy's head and straw hat on it.
"Here!" He held the flag up a little higher.
"All I see is a poorly drawn... thing." I stated.
Zoro woke up. "That's our mark?"
He gave a huge grin. "Whadya think? Nice, huh?!" I was about to say something, but was cut off. "No one asked for your opinion, Mira!" I frowned. No fun...
We were all standing in front of Luffy and his "flag". "A pirate flag is a symbol of death." Zoro made the comment. "A symbol of fear!"
Nami placed a hand to her chin. "I do sense fear though. Fear of your talent!"
Usopp tsked. "Wish you would have told me first!"
"Huh?" I questioned.
"Don't forget about me, the gifted artist!" He stated all proud like.
"Is that another lie?"
"You!" He shouted at me.
"Gifted artist?" Luffy questioned.
"I've drawn graffiti on walls for fifty years!" He pointed to himself. "When it comes to painting, I'm in a league of my own!"
"So, you're old?" I asked. His face fell slightly.
"Awesome!" Luffy cried. "Fifty years?!"
"That means he's an old man now!" Zoro added.
"Not to mention the fact he should have five or six grand children by now." Nami agreed. With every comment, his face was falling even more.
"That's awesome too!" Luffy only has half a brain...
"Hey!" He lightly smacked the air. He quickly set to work.
After a while, he stood. "Alright! Behold this work of art!" The hell?
"Who told you to make this flag?!" Luffy demanded. I agreed. It was a skull and cross bone of Usopp with his slingshot behind it. Both Zoro and Luffy punched the sides of his head.
Soon, he had completely redone it to be like the one Luffy made, only a lot better. "I guess that's a lot better." He said with his arms crossed.
"Wow," Nami sighed. "It's pretty good."
"I agree." I nodded. "Not too bad."
"Yeah!" Luffy said. "It's good! I like it!"
"So this is our mark." Zoro trailed off at the end, almost making it sound like a question.
"Alright!" Luffy called out. "Usopp! Draw one on the sail, too!"
"Right!" And so he did. I admired his work. It looked pretty damn good.
"Aright! All done!" Luffy sounded proud. "Now the Going Merry pirate ship is all set!" He let out a triumphant laugh.
"I'm pooped..." Usopp was lying on his back with tipped, empty paint cans all around him.
We sat in silence for a bit, letting the breeze mess with our hair and clothes. My ears suddenly pricked up and I looked out ahead of us. Dark, ominous clouds loomed on, threatening to bring a dreadful storm.
"Is this the right way?" Luffy asked. "It seems kind of dangerous..."
Nami pulled out a map. "Wait." She studied it. She pulled out a pair of binoculars and observed the cloud formation. "That's it! That's the place! No doubt about it!"
"What?" I asked, honestly curious, though my tail was beginning to fuzz. I didn't like the look of the clouds and how they were moving.
"Do you see something neat?" Luffy wondered.
She lowered the binoculars. "The legendary Treasure Island." I raised an eyebrow. Legendary? How come I've never heard of it, then?
"The legendary Treasure Island?" Usopp repeated. "I've heard of that place!" How come I haven't?!
"Yeah!" Nami said. "It's a famous island among pirates. As are the weird stories about it..." We were getting closer to the storm and I was growing more unsure of it.
"Weird stories?" Luffy asked, curious.
Nami smirked. "That whoever gets near the island incurs a god's wrath..." Lightening flashed above the ship and Usopp screamed. It suddenly began to downpour and bring heavy winds and pounding rain. I hissed and grabbed onto the side rail for support.
"W-were the rumors true?!" Usopp shouted above the wind. "It this a god's wrath?!"
"That sounds kinda neat!" Luffy said as he held onto his hat.
"Luffy!" Usopp clung onto the guard rail. "You're not thinking of-"
"We sure are!" Nami cut in. More lightening flashed and it lit up her face.
"Let's go!" Luffy sat on the figure head. "To Treasure Island!" He pointed right for the barely visible island. I helped Usopp and Zoro hoist the sails to keep them from ripping with the gust of wind. Nami just clung onto the center mast and laughed giddily.
The rain started to lessen the closer we got to the island, which was good. When we docked, I noticed that not a drop of moisture was hitting the ground in the thick jungle like place. I got under the cover as fast as I could and shook off the water. "Ew... I hate getting wet..." Once semi-dry, we walked into the jungle. There were so many strange plants all around us.
Nami was in front of the group, then Luffy, then me, then Zoro with Usopp bringing up the rear as he held onto Zoro's shoulders. Does he have personal space issues? I heard Usopp squeal like a little girl. I had to laugh.
We searched high and low for the treasure, but didn't see anything. "This is one creepy island!" Usopp pointed out.
"Yeah?" Zoro said almost casually.
"It's said that an extraordinary treasure rests somewhere on this island." Nami went on about the island's stories. I was half way listening to her. I felt as if something was watching me, or us. I put my ears on hyper drive and listened for anything that didn't sound like us. Not a sound out of place besides our feet crunching in the dirt path.
I looked into the trees and bushes and I swear I saw eyes staring at us. They looked hostile and they glowed red. Zoro yawned. "I'm hungry..." He suddenly walked off the path and layed down in the grass. First he's hungry, then he goes to sleep?! Even I'm not that lazy! As soon as he got settled in, he fell asleep. And he wants to be the best swordsman in the world...
"How can he sleep in a creepy place like this..." Usopp asked himself.
"Yeah." Nami agreed. "What kind of nerves does he have?"
"Idiotic ones." I answered. I glanced over at Luffy. "What're you doing?" I walked over beside him and froze. A rabbit snake.......... It stuck out its tongue and made a funny noise. I paled slightly. What in the world is it?
Usopp suddenly screamed and I jumped. "Don't scare me like that?!" Nami scolded.
"I'm too young to have a heart attack!" I shouted.
He thought of something quick. "N-no, I thought I'd do a little dance to lighten things up." Then he proceeded to dance in a horrible fashion. I snickered at him. Something started to lick his hand and I saw it was a rooster fox. The hell is this place?!?!?!?!?! "S-stop that, Luffy..." He glanced down at it and both he and Nami cried out in fright; Nami from seeing a panda bat. I fuzzed at the sight of the panda bat hanging from a vine and at the sudden screaming.
The fox walked by and the bat thing flew off while Nami and Usopp tripped over each other. "What is this?" Nami asked in a small voice.
"Leave..." A low, booming voice commanded. I was now certain that this island is now one of the scariest islands I've ever been to.
Way to go, Luffy. You just had to want to go here.
