12~ Enter Don Krieg/What Does My Father Do For a Living?!
I was amazed at how these people handled things. They had Fullbody running for his money.
"Listen!" The weirdo from before ordered. "The customer is king!"
"Only those who eat your crappy dishes." Sanji retorted. Does he need ice for that burn?
"Sanji! Patty!" The owner shouted. "If you wanna fight, do it in the kitchen!"
I glanced over to Fullbody and saw him sit up. He didn't look too good what with blood all over him.
"Lieutenant!" Someone shouted from outside. "Lieutenant Fullbody!" A Marine staggered into the restaurant. "We've got trouble!"
"Geez..." Luffy sighed. "What a strange restaurant..."
"Pirate Krieg's underling escaped!" He also had blood dripping from his face.
"What?!"
"After seven of us finally captured him to get a lead on the Krieg Pirates..."
"That can't be!" Fullbody cut in. "When we got him three days ago, he was close to starving!" Ugh; hate that feeling. I've almost starved once.
In fact, I remember that time very well...
~~~Flash Back~~~
I cried out in pain as I hit the wall of the cell. "And you are to stay there until you learn some respect!" Helmeppo slammed the heavy metal barred door shut, locking me in.
"You can't do this to me!" I shouted. "I will get even! You'll see! You'll regret doing this to me!"
"What're you gonna do, huh?" He taunted. "No one likes you. There is no way you can get back at me 'cause if you did, my father would kill you!"
I slunk back, knowing he was right. What could I do? There was no where for me to go. They knew my every hiding place and I was almost always followed by Marines. I could do nothing; I was helpless. Everyone thought I was trash and a freak. I was forced to live on the streets. The only one who really cared for me was Ririka, but she was new here and didn't know how to treat me. I thank her for her kindness over the years.
My stomach grumbled and I clutched it. "Damn... I need food." As if on cue, the person came by with food from the kitchen. I stood and held my hand out for my share, but the stupid person walked right on by me without even a second glance! "Hey, buddy!" He turned. "Where's my share?!"
He faced forward again. "I am under strict orders not to give you your share every day."
"Orders?!" I screeched. "Whose orders?! Hey! I'm talking to you! Hey!" He just kept on walking, handing out the food to everyone but me. He still had a bunch left once his rounds were over. I wiped drool off my lower lip and whimpered when he kept walking back the way he came from.
"Damn..." I went over to my hard cot and laid back. "There's always dinner." I muttered.
Three weeks it was like that. The same person would walk by and not give me anything. I was certain that Helmeppo set him up with this. Every single god damned minute, my stomach would growl and I'd be smelling the food and hear everyone else eat.
After another week of that, I finally got a small chunk of bread, but that was it of another month. One day, I lifted up my shirt and counted my ribs. "Ah~ That's two more than yesterday..."
Footsteps echoed down the hall and I instantly shot up, hoping the food man would give me something. I pressed my face to the bars and saw Lieutenant Ripper walking this way. Then I smelt the food he had on him.
I reached my hand out as he passed me. "L-Lieutenant Ripper..."
He jumped a little, startled by what he saw. "M-Mira? What are you doing here?"
"H-Helmeppo..." I said. "That jerk... I need food..."
"Food?" He questioned. "But they pass the food out for each meal time."
I shook my head. "The only thing I've ever had here was a slice of bread, and that was a few weeks ago." I reached for his plate. "Please... Just something to get me through the day..." He pulled the plate out of my reach.
"Listen," I gazed at him, eyes shifting to the plate every now and then. "I know you've been here a while and Helmepoo wants to mess with you. I'll let you out, only if you promise not to get into anymore trouble." I licked my lips and nodded. "I'll be back after dark."
That was the longest wait of my life. I paced, slept, and counted my ribs all day, waiting for Ripper to get me out of here. Finally, the time came.
He unlocked my cell and helped me out. I clung to him and staggered down the dark hallway to freedom. Ripper brought me to Ririka's bar-restaurant place and set me down. She came out almost immediately with food.
"Now," She said kindly. "Make sure you- DRINK IT YOURSELF!"
~~~End Flash Back~~~
"Drink it yourself!" I came out of my daze to see Zoro shoving a glass of water down Luffy's throat. His eyes were bugging out as he tried to get away. Nami and Usopp lost it and were pounding the table and laughing obnoxiously. The entire restaurant was staring at us.
"I can't believe you did that!" Luffy was finally able to get out.
"I can't believe you did that!" Zoro came back with. I was extremely confused. Nami and Usopp couldn't stop laughing and were soon banging on the table and clutching their sides. Everybody was staring at our table like we were freaks.
"My stomach hurts!" Luffy cried. "That was nasty!"
"Oh, dear ocean and cat like beauty!" A rose appeared before Nami and I. "I thank you two for today's encounter!"
Nami stopped laughing as if someone flicked her off switch. "What?!"
"Oh, love," Sanji sighed. "I can't bear this hardship. Go ahead and laugh at me." ACK! He's back and after both me and Nami! He began shaking his head, then placed the rose in my hand before placing it over his face in shame. "I'm now prepared to become a lowly pirate or devil if I'm with you two!" And just like that, his eyes were replaced with hearts. I tried to keep my sarcastic laugh in for his sake.
"However!" He cried, embracing us in his arms. "How tragic it is! There's too great an obstacle between us!" I glanced over at Zoro and saw he was more than a little pissed. His eyes were shadowed, but I could see the hate... and jealousy? What's with that emotion?
"That obstacle is me, right, Sanji?" I looked over my shoulder and saw the owner right there.
Sanji snapped right out of it. "Damn geezer..."
"This is a good opportunity." He said. "Why don't you become a pirate with them?" Sanji bristled at his words, baring his teeth at the old man. "You're no longer needed at this restaurant!" Ouch... Now that's just cold.
"Hey, you damn geezer!" Sanji called. "I'm the Sous Chef here! What do you mean you no longer need me here?!"
"You often get into trouble with the customers," Owner ticked off. "You flare your nostrils whenever you see a girl, and you can't even cook a decent meal, so you're a dead weight to this restaurant!"
"Why would you say that?!" Sanji shouted in a blind rage. "I'll let everything else slide, but don't bash my cooking!" He grabbed the owner by the collar.
"You dare grab the Owner by the collar, you damn brat!" He threw Sanji right into our table. We picked up the foold as it tipped and Sanji slid off onto the floor.
"Damn you..." Sanji barely managed to whisper. I kicked at a leg broken off of the table. "Quit screwing around." Sanji glared up at the old man. "No matter how hard you try to kick me out, I'll continue to work here as a cook until you die!"
"I won't die!" He turned and stomped off, his leg pounding on the floor. "I'll live a hundred more years!
"That geezer is never short of his words..." Sanji shook with rage
I glared after him before turning back to the table. "People like that make me sick."
"Eh?" Sanji asked.
"I dealt with that kind of attitude all my life, yet I did so many things," I replied. "Even if I wasn't needed." I picked up my glass I put on the ground, but remembered that it was empty. "Oh, darn... I forgot I was out..."
Sanji lit up again. "I'll get you more!" Just like that, he was gone.
I sighed in relief. "Thank God he's gone." He was soon back and hitting on Nami and I again. Damn...
"Alright!" Actually, I'd take Sanji over Luffy any day. "You have permission! Now you can become a pirate with us!"
"No way!" He then picked up the table and fixed it as best he could. We placed our things back on it and I sipped from my wine glass. "Now, sorry about that." He poured Nami a fresh glass of wine and gave her a fruit cocktail and me a cherry wine smoothie in a tall, narrow glass. "I'd like to make it up to you two by serving you a fruit macedonia and a fresh, icy drink." I sipped at my smoothie and nearly melted.
I felt Zoro's eyes boring into me, but more at Sanji. What is with him today?!
--------
Zoro
Why do I feel this way?! I've never been so furious in my life! No... Furious isn't tthe word I want. But what is this feeling?! It was like I was pissed at this blond guy, but worse! Of course, I am mad at him for hitting on girls all the time, but when he started talking to Mira and sweetening up to her, I was beyond furious!
"Wow!" Nami cried while folding her hands. "Thank you! You're so kind!"
I spotted Mira drinking her smoothie and she seemed to be melting at the flavor. Was she hooked on him too?! I mentally shook my head. Don't be absurd! I told myself. You don't like Mira; at least not in that way...
"Oh, yum!" I perked up and saw Mira half way done with both of her drinks. "These are so good!"
"Anytime..." The waiter almost purred. I scowled and folded my arms, glaring at the waiter.
Usopp ran up beside him. "And no apology for us?! I'm gonna sue you, you damn love cook!"
Waiter got into Usopp's face. "I'm serving you tea, aren't I? Thank me for that, long-nose."
"Huh?! You wanna fight?!" Usopp challenged. "I won't go easy on you! Beat him up, Zoro!"
Really? "Do it yourself." I sipped my own cup of tea. I then heard Mira giggled and my sour mood lifted a bit. What is it about her that makes me feel this way?
Nami clapped her hands together once. "Stop! Please don't fight because of us!" She pleaded. I sweat dropped.
"Yes!" Waiter had hearts in his eyes again. "I'll stop!"
"Who said it was because of you two?!" Usopp shouted at her.
Mira sighed and leaned back in her chair. She lost her balance and fell backward. "Eep!"
I shot out of my chair to get her, even though she was already on the floor. "Mira!" I took a step toward her, but the damn waiter was already there!
"Are you alright?" He asked.
She blushed, but I could tell it was because she embarrassed herself, but he was taking it the wrong way. "Y-yeah. I'm fine." She pushed lightly on his shoulder and stood up. Waiter pulled out her chair and pushed her in.
"Mira..." He sighed longingly. "Such a wonderful name..." That stirred my hate for him even more.
"Er... Thanks." She sipped at her wine then caught me staring. Waiter went back to talking with Nami as we stared.
"Oi," My eye twitched and my head jerked to face the waiter. "It's not polite to stare at a lady." Then he went and stared at Nami. The nerve of this guy!
I faced Mira again and caught a glimpse of her ears sticking out. I cleared my throat to get her attention. "Mira," She turned away from Waiter and gave me a "What?" look. I scratched my head where her cat ears should be. She reached up and touched my bandana.
She squeaked. "I-I-I'll be right back!" She took off like a shot, tipping her chair over in the proccess.
"What're you sitting around for?!" I looked over to Luffy just as Waiter kicked his head, sending it clear over to the side stretched out. "When customers sit down, give them moist hand towels!" He dragged Luffy off.
"Yes..." Luffy sad reluctantly. We sweat dropped at that.
"Hey, Zoro," I glanced over to Nami. "Since you were busy gawking at Mira, I would like to inform you that my meal is free, and yours isn't."
My eyebrow twitched. "I wasn't gawking!" I folded my arms and leaned back against the chair. "And that waiter is so predictable."
Was I gawking?

Mira
"Has it been a year yet?" I whined with my head resting on my arms.
"Well..." Usopp started. "With this and that going on, we've been here for only four days."
We were outside on the boat and a thick fog had rolled in. "When can we leave?" I was starting to complain even more. "That pervy waiter person is creeping me out..."
"Who knows?" Zoro replied, his hands behind his head as he sat on the deck.
"Is he really gonna work here for a year as a chore boy?" I could just barely see Usopp through the fog.
"What's the problem?!" Nami said cheerfully. "The food's free and it's comfortable here."
"For you two, it is." Zoro came back with.
I heard someone grunting and saw a black object coming for us. "Guys! A monster!" Usopp freaked out and I laughed at him. I knew it was Luffy. "Hey, Luffy!"
"That wasn't funny..." Usopp poked my head.
"Hmm?" He called back from the restaurant deck to us on Going Merry.
"What's going on?!" Usopp leaned over the railing after leaving me alone. "Let's leave here already!"
"Wait a little longer." Luffy told him. "I'll try talking to Owner again."
"I'm begging you!" Usopp whined. Luffy didn't answer. From what I could see, he turned his head the way he came and stared through the fog. I stood and went beside Usopp to get a better look.
"Is that a... a ship?" I asked, uncertain. A glass shattered inside the restaurant and I jumped. Soon after that, I heard the people inside freaking out. I was beginning to make out the shape of a ship coing for us. It was big, dark, and ominous, like a storm cloud.
I happened to catch a quick glimpse of the flag: Skull and cross bones with hourglasses on either side of it. Wonder who that is...
"DON KRIEG!" A man inside shouted in fear. At that name, everyone in the restaurant freaked out and screamed for their lives. Well, there's my answer. Now, who is that guy?
The shadow of the ship crossed over us. I stared at it and slightly narrowed my eyes. I wonder who this Don Krieg could be.
Luffy began to walk away to get a closer look.
"Hey, this is not good!" Usopp called out. Nami, Usopp, and the pirate hunters were freaking out. Zoro just stood there and I was very curious as to who Krieg was. "Shouldn't we just get out of here?!"
"What a huge galleon!" Nami shouted in fear and slight amazement.
The fog began to disappear and fade away and I was able to see the ship for its true colors. It was a wreck, like it had gone through a whirlpool and somehow survived. The sails were a mess and almost every inch looked like it had been sliced by something. Half the figure head was gone and not a soul was in sight on deck.
A figure staggered up on deck and I squinted for a better look. He (I think it was a he. Can't tell from this distance) was tall and covered in what looked like a cape with fur edges. He was soon on the deck of the Baratie with some help from a guy.
"Who's Don Krieg?" I asked in a whisper.
"WHAT?!" Nami whisper yelled. "How can you not know who that is?! He's the ruler of the East Blue! The strongest pirate of the East Blue with over fifty-thousand ships full of men! He could kill us all!"
I looked around for the other ships. "Fifty-thousand ships, huh? I only see the one." So what happened to the others? Are they hiding? Gone? Lost? Destroyed? "I have to get a closer look." I leaped over the railing and went in through the back way.
"Mira!" Usopp cried out.
When I was inside, I saw every person at one end of the restaurant and a huge guy was leaning into a smaller dark skinned man who looked like he needed sleep.
This is Don Krieg?
"S-sorry." Krieg said. "Can I have some water and food?" No one moved. "We have money... Tons of money... I don't even remember the last time I ate. Please, give me some water and food." The kid Don was leaning against struggled to keep him up. It must have been difficult with all the gold chains and heavy coat.
"Wh-what's that?" A cook above me asked.
"He shows neither dignity nor force..." Another said. "Is he really that Don Krieg? Commodore of the grand pirate fleet?" How is it that everyone knows him but I don't?! I mean, wouldn't I have heard of him while I was on my prison island?!
I heard footsteps and saw Sanji climbing the stairs to the kitchen. So he's gonna make food for him; how sweet. If Krieg is this way, then he shouldn't be too much of an issue when he's had his fill and leaves. Problem solved, everyone's happy, everyone leaves.
"C-Captain!" I quickly turn around and see Don falling to the floor. I rush over there and the entire room gasped in horror as I grab his other arm to help him to the ground easily. What is so bad about helping him?!
"Please help our captain!" The kid begged to the other customers. "He's really about to starve!" No one moved. "He hasn't eaten anything for days! He'll die if he doesn't eat!" Even then, no one makes a move. They all either glare or frown in our direction.
I let out a low growl and jump to my feet. "You heartless fiends!" They gasp at my choice of words. "How dare you not help a man in need! Would you like people treating you this way if you were close to starvation?!"
Boisterous laughter sounds on the stairs and I fix my gaze on the one they call Patty. "This is good! It is a riot to see the famous arch rogue Don Krieg like this!"
"We have money this time!" The kid tried again. "We're customers!"
He snorted. "Don't be ridiculous!" He turned to a cook beside him. "Hey, call the Navy right away."
"What?" Kid asked, shocked.
"He's at his weakest right now." Patty explained. "This is a once-in-a-life-time opportunity! There's no need to feed him. Keep him under arrest."
"He's right!" A customer shouted. "We don't know what he'll do once he gets his energy back!"
"He's done bad things." Another agreed. "He deserves to starve for all the things he's done!"
"Once he's back to normal, I bet he'll attack this restaurant right away." A cook said. "There's no reason to give him even a glass of water." I kicked a spoon lying on the ground at the man who said that.
"What is wrong with you people!" I shrieked.
"I won't do anything..." A half mumble said. I turned half way around and saw Don trying to get to his feet. "I won't do anything. Once I eat, I promise I'll leave quietly. So... Please... Help me."
"Hn!" I snorted. "See, a very reasonable man. Unlike some people!" They cringed at my glare.
"Don Krieg! Please stop begging!" The kid pleaded. "It's not something you should do! Please don't so something so disgraceful!"
"Wh-who is the girl standing... standing up for me?" Don asked.
I grinned and faced him. "Mira," I turned to the kid. "And you are...?"
"Ghin." He replied.
"Nice to meetcha!" I turned back around to face the others again. "I can't believe you would let a guy like him suffer in your restaurant. Restaurants feed the hungry and make them well. Obviously, none of you guys know how to do that." At that time, Sanji started coming back down the stairs. I saw a bowl of food in his hands. "Well, one of you guys do."
The other cooks started freaking out.
"Here, Ghin," He placed the food in front of Krieg. "Let him eat it." He also set a bottle of wine down with it.
"Sanji-san..." Ghin said in amazement and respect.
"Thank you!" Don cried as he stuffed rice, meat, and veggies into his mouth with his hands, tears in his eyes. Sanji stood and watched him eat, a small smile on his face.
Someone ran down the stairs. "Hey, Sanji! Take that food away from him!" I hissed at him and he backed up slightly. "Do you realize what kind of man he is?!"
"He's a man who's hungry." I stated.
"No!" He cried out. "He's the man who is called the East Blue Ruler, the foul player Krieg!"
I glanced down at Krieg. "That's not what I see."
"Because you're not looking hard enough!!" He shouted. "It started in a prison. He pretended to be a Marine soldier and took over a Navy ship by killing a senior officer on the ship. That's how declared himself a pirate. He sometimes raised the Navy flag and entered harbors in order to attack the towns and passenger ships. He also raised white flags then attacked enemy ships! He did anything to continue winning. That's how he got to where he is today!"
"Psh!" I scoffed. "I think you're exaggerating."
"No, he's right." I turned to Don Krieg, confused. He slammed down the bottle of wine and clothes lined Sanji, sending him flying. He then reached for me and grabbed me by the bandana and throwing me. I crashed into a table, breaking it in half.
"Ow..." I sat up and rubbed my head.
"Mira!" Luffy cried. Wait, when was he up on the stairs? "Sanji!"
Everyone was shocked and frightened by what just happened. A woman screamed and all the customers ran off as far away as they could.
"This... This isn't what we agreed, Don Krieg!" Ghin cried. "I brought you here under the condition you wouldn't touch this restaurant! And that man saved our lives and Mira-san stood up for you!"
"Mira..." Don Krieg practically growled. "The daughter of the man I despise." He reached down and snagged Ghin's arm, pulling him from the ground. There was a sickening crunch as Don squeezed and Ghin cried out in pain. "Yeah, that was delicious. I feel alive again." He threw Ghin to the ground.
I stood and shook my head. Something green was beside Krieg's right foot: Zoro's bandana. I touched my head and felt my ears. "Crap." Then I remembered that my father was mentioned. I took off running at Don. "I don't know how you know my father," I fell and slid on the ground, making it look like I was going after Krieg. "But I intend to find out!" I snatched up the bandana and stood a fair distance from Don's grasp.
First, Buggy says he killed my father with his bomb five years ago. Two years after that, Kuro says he killed him. What's the story with Krieg?! How does he tie in with killing my father?! What did my father do to upset him?!
Don cast his deadly glare about the restaurant. The only people left were the cooks, me, and Sanji. "This is a good restaurant." He finally said with a smug smirk. "I'll take the ship."
Sanji sat up, blood running from his mouth. "So... That's what you want..."
Patty called down from the stairs. "You alright, Sanji?!" His eyes then locked with Krieg and he began to hyperventilate.
"My ship became a wreck, so I want a new one." He explained. "You'll get off this ship after I tell you what you need to do."
"What?!" A cook cried from above.
"Don Krieg," Ghin grunted. "This isn't what you promised."
"Not everyone keeps promises," Don said. "But there is one I plan on keeping. That promise was to find Elmira Hojosen before she finds me, then I kill her before she does me." I threw a glass at his head. It shattered on impact. He growled and glared at me over his shoulder.
"What business do you have with my father?!" I yelled at him. "Tell me now!"
He scoffed at me. "You're not worth my time, Neko. Now, about my demands. There's about one hundred of my underlings on that ship that are barely alive. They're weak with hunger and severe injuries. First, prepare one hundred meals and water. There's some who've already starved to death. Bring them over immediately!"
I threw another glass, this one he dodged. "And my demand is to know how you know my father!"
He smirked evilly. "Knew. I knew your father. I killed him with my own hands!"
"We refuse!" A cook shouted. That took the attention from me and to him.
"Refuse?" Don snarled. "Don't get the wrong idea. I'm not placing an order; I'm giving them. It doesn't matter who you are. Don't defy me!" That made the cooks jerk with fear and whimper. Steam came out from Don's mouth.
"You son of a bitch!" Patty shouted at Sanji. "Look what you've done!"
Sanji just sat there, staring at an injured Ghin with slightly narrowed eyes, as if assessing the situation. A few seconds later, he stood up, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, and headed for the kitchen.
"Oi! Sanji!" The cook at the stairs shouted. "Where're you going?!"
Sanji stopped just before the stairs. "To the kitchen." He responded. "I have one hundred meals to prepare." The other cooks jerked at his response.
"WHAT?!?!" They all screamed at the same time.
Don smirked again. "Right. That's how it should be."
Sanji was soon surrounded by all the cooks. They had large pitch forks, pans, and knives on large poles pointing right at him.
While Don was distracted, I charged him and launched myself onto his back. He didn't even stagger at my added weight. "I want answers, Krieg. How do you know my father? What did he do to piss you off?!"
He reached back and grabbed me by the back of my shirt and pulled me in front of him. "That son of a bitch betrayed me!" He shouted. "He said he was a traveling business man and he said he would give me a good deal, but we'd have to find a port. Little did I know, he sold us to that demon! We barely escaped! Just before the hawk-eyed demon attacked us, I killed him where he stood. As he died, he said that his daughter, Elmira Hojosen, would kill me for what I did!" He shook me and I hissed in annoyance. "But I promised him I would kill you first."
"So, does my father go around pissing pirates off, or something?" I asked.
"What?" Before I had time to answer, a thud sounded behind me.
"Are you full now, Don Krieg?" Don spun me around so I could see what was going on. Patty had pulled out a huge bazooka! And aiming it right at us! "After the main course, how about a piece of iron dessert?!"
I screamed. "Wait! Wait! I'm still here! You'll kill me too!"
"Patty!" Sanji shouted. "NO!" But it was too late. There was a bright flash and a loud explosion. I watched as the bomb seemed to come at me in slow motion, too frozen in fear to try and save myself by freezing time.
The bomb collided with us.
---------
Zoro
There were two quick explosions. Fear clutched at my heart, knowing that Mira was still in there. "I'm going in there." I said as I climbed over the railing.
"Oi, Zoro!" Usopp called. "You can't go in there!" I glared over my shoulder at him.
"And why not?" I questioned. "Mira's in there."
He gulped. "T-then I'm coming with you!" He leaped over the railing beside me and we ran into the restaurant through the back and up the stairs. We seemed to have ended up in the kitchen. I found a door ahead of us that I guess led to the dining area.
I headed right for that door and found stairs heading down. We descended a little bit and found perfect spots to see the whole front of the diner. There stood Don Krieg as the smoke cleared, a hand behind his back.
"It'll taste good, right?" Don said. "You lame cook! How dare you serve such a nasty dessert and almost kill my victim!" He pulled his arm out from behind him and there was Mira, frozen in pure terror as she hung from the back collar of her shirt in Don's grasp. I noticed she still held my bandana tight in her grip. "This is the lousiest restaurant!" There were metal clangs as weapons appeared from under his hidden armor. Where does he keep all those?
"You're damn annoying!" He shouted as he shot from all those guns.
"Get down!" I shoved Usopp down to avoid getting hit. When he stopped firing, I looked down to see most of the cooks injured.
"Don't defy me!" He shouted. Wait, wasn't Mira in his hands a second ago?
"Defy this!" Out of no where, Mira smashed a chair over Don's head. No one dared to move, but Don was beyond infuriated. "D-damn... Thought that would work..."
Don removed his glove to reveal a diamond studded knuckle cover. "You bitch!!!" He used that to bash it against her skull, sending her into a pile of broken and flipped tables. Blood sloshed all over the floor as she flew and pooled around her.
"Z-Zoro..." She raised her hand that held my bandana. "Th-thank you for letting me use this..." Her arm quivered then gave out, falling down beside her.
"MIRA!!!!!!!!!"
-----------
***No one's point of view***
"Oh, dear me..." A woman mused as she stared into her crystal ball. "Poor little Mira's been killed. Well, that's not something I can't fix." The woman moved her hand over the smooth surface and clouded the scene before her. She then walked over to her companion who was just starting to wake up. "Mira's been killed."
He gave a dark laugh. "Then she really did leave."
The woman nodded. "But she's not alone. She is with a group of new pirates on their way to find One Piece."
The man nodded and tested his arms for full range of motion. "I knew she would befriend someone. Well, what do you suggest we do?"
"I suggest you rest some more," She pushed his shoulder lightly to lay down. "And I'll take cake of Mira." She closed his eyes then made her way to her cabinet of healing potions. "Aha... Here it is." She pulled out a blue vial no bigger than her delicate pinky finger and slowly made here way to her crystal ball again.
She unclouded it and saw Mira and a boy with black hair and wearing an apron leaning over her; his lips moving, but no sound coming out. She uncapped the vial and placed her hand to the side of the ball, enabling the sound.
"It's gonna be alright, Mira!" He was saying. "Don't die, Mira! Don't die!"
The woman smirked. "Don't worry, dear," She purred. "All will be well. Just open her mouth and- yes, just like that." The boy with black hair turned Mira's head, her mouth opening slightly. "All will be well, Mira Hojosen." She poured the vial over the ball, but instead of it spilling over, the crystal ball rippled, allowing the liquid to enter it, filling Mira with its magic.
Half the vial was gone when the woman stopped the flow of liquid. She capped it again and watched as the boy tried desperately wake her up.
"Don't worry, boy." She clouded the ball once again and went to put the vial up. "Mira will be waking up in half an hour fully revived. Then, she can finish her father's work." Once the vial was placed in its spot, she walked over to the head of her male companion. "Her father's reckless, idiotic work."
