Chapter two the city

Shadow fell over the city as the three got back. "They will be mad" Maya whispered she had let the darkness fill her sight once more as they headed back. "Why did you not tells us sooner?" Eva whispered to her as they slipped into a shadow switching back to their cat forms. "I did not know if you two where the them" Maya told her. Micah put her tail on Maya's shoulder acting as a guide. "That is understandable now we know the truth" Micah mewed. "Yes we do" Maya purred out. The sound of little kids grew louder as they got near what seemed to be a playground. Thought it was dark the kids would leave soon and then it would be peaceful. "I want a kitty like them" a kid yelled as they passed by. All three flattened their ears to their heads passing by the kids. Growling softly Eva moved to hide Maya from the kids. "Thanks sis" Maya said moving closer so she was less seen. She was the darkest pelted of them but the others hid her when it was need. " jump over the gate and go that way to get back in?" Micah asked them. Nodding they headed round to the back yard and to the gate. Once they had made it to the gate they swiftly jumped over it all at the same time. Light as a feather their paws hit the ground under them. The grass in the yard was dry and hard not soft like that of the forest. "They must have cut the grass for there are lots of clumps around on the ground. Maya lifted her nose smelling the air she tasted the scent of fresh cut grass. "We need to be careful then don't need it on our fur" She told them. Both of them growled a yes then slowly and carefully made their way to the backdoor. "Is the cat flap open?" Maya had to ask them "yes it is still open" Eva told her. "Good let us head in then and get to our places" Nodding they slipped back into the home. Once in side they trotted up to the humans room that they stayed in. Micah went to his bed witch was in a fuzzy box. Eva helped Maya on the bed of the little girl then she went off the tree like post and climbed up to a box then got settled. Not long after they had gotten in their places the family came home. "Time for bed sweet pea" said a female voice "don't forget to brush your teeth" called a deep voice. "I won't" the little girl called and rushed off to get ready for bed. After she had gotten ready and was in bed. She picked Maya up off the end of the bed and put her under the covers and pulled them up. "Good night sweety" both parents told her then walked out. "So tell me about it" She told them once the parents were gone. Pulling back the sheets she let Maya out. "Did you three have fun?" Julie asked them. Micah and Eva got up and walked over to the bed jumping on. "We had a great time thanks for helping us Jules" Eva told her. Nodding she picked Maya backup and put her on her lap. "Can you show her Maya?" Micah and Eva asked her. Nodding Maya blinked fast twice and her eyes cleared. Jullie look at her for a second before saying, "that is great Maya''. Maya smiled looking at her "some time you should come with us".Jullie nodded and yawned Maya looked at the then flicked her tail at Eva and Micah who moved off the bed. "Sleep now lt little one" Maya told her then jumped off the bed following to the tree. Climbing up she joined Eva in the tree box place. "Goodnight Eva and Micah and Maya" Jullie told them then laid down. Eva curled up around Maya Micah looked them all over then rested his down closing his eyes. Bang Bang Bang shook the whole home and woke all of them up. Maya was on her feet watching the door like a hawk. "Eva and Micah get Jullie out of here Micah I need you in Human neko and Eva cat but be ready." Maya told them nodding they got Julles out of there but not before the door burst open with a loud bang. "Hello Maya" her father cooed at her. "Hello father" She growled with a flash of light she was in her human neko form. "So you want us I am guessing" she growled at him. "What a smart girl you are Maya the powerful" He took a step closer. Micah and Eva froze Maya turned to them her arms open "let your powers through" She called. A rush of power came through them and a glow filled the room. With a great flash all three had changed Each had wings and three talis. "It is true" screamed Maya's father the hungry for killing grew brighter in his eyes. "Maya..." Eva whispered Maya looked at her and yelled "Go now get away from here". Micah grabbed Eva and Jullie with one last look at Maya she ran out the window. Maya lost two tails while the others lost one tail. "You will die at my hands today." He yelled at her. Maya knew better though she would make it seemed as if she died but she did not. With a growl he attacked her.r moving a with a side step she was able to get away from his attacks. They fought like this for a long time before he pinned her to the ground a knife in hand he ready to kill her with one swipe. Micah and Eva run back to the home hoping to be able to help maya. They got to the broken window in time to see the knife go down into Maya heart. "NOOOO MAYA" Screamed Eva looking at the killer. Micah looked at their tails they still had three so she was alive but they need to hide. Grabbing Eva Micah ran and hid in the bushes watching as he passed them are staying like that for a little he gave up and left. They stood and walked back to Maya her eyes were closed and her had a stab wound. Eva got down on her knees and looked over her. Maya opened one eye and smiled "I had to do it but I will be back" she whispered then the light in her eyes faded and they lost a tail. The tears fell down both of their faces see their sister laying there killed by a monster. "Eva we must go and tell Jullie" Micah whispered bending down he picked her up in his arms. He walked out of the home trying to leave the past in there.
