Once Eren got better from his cold, you and Eren went back to the park where you were originally gonna meet and find Mikasa. Since Eren got his cold, he stayed with you, practically living with you.

"Hey, (y/n), do you think that we'll find Mikasa?" Eren asks you as he nervously looks around, wearing his usual beanie over his ears. Worried filled his eyes, searching for a small sign of his friend.

You nod your head, "Of course. I worked hard to try and track her down."

With that, his eyes relaxed and he smiled, "Right... Of course you did, (y/n). Once we find her, I'll put all my faith into you to find Armin."

"Hey, shouldn't you give me your full faith beforehand?"

He starts to laugh at you, "I'm just messing with you, (y/n)..."

You laugh along, to get the awkward silence out of the way. Hopefully, you'll find this Mikasa person- wait, cat person.

"Should we split up?" You asked after searching for half an hour. "We may find her quickly if-"

"No!" His loud voice startles you. But then, he realizes what he did. In a calm tone, "Sorry, (y/n)... I didn't mean to scare you... I don't want you to get hurt if you find Mikasa. She had it the worst... Please..."

You nod your head, after all, Eren was protecting you. "Okay, let's not split up..."

"Thank you, (y/n)."

"Of course I'll listen to you, Eren..."

Together, you and Eren finally found a young woman sleeping in a box. The box perfectly fit the woman, who was small. By the looks of it, she had black ears and long black hair. Eren gasps as he saw her.

"Mikasa!" The woman perks up, blinking her gray eyes. "Mikasa, remember me?! It's Eren!"

She smiles and pounces onto him, "Eren!" She shouts, loudly. She wore a long, white tattered dress with a pink torn jacket. A tattered red scarf was wrapped around her neck. How long has she been here? It seemed that she lived here for years... "Goodness... it's been a long time..." She starts to cry, so does Eren.

"Yeah... it has been..." Eren then stands up, picking Mikasa from her feet. "This is my friend, (y/n). (y/n), this is Mikasa."

"Nice to meet you." You say, shaking her hands.

"Where's your ears and tail?" Mikasa questions, her tail swinging in the air.

"I'm human..."

"WHAT?!" Mikasa turns to Eren, "Eren, did she hurt you-"

"No, Mikasa, she loved it when she found out I was a cat. She didn't mind or anything! She took good care of me for a while, Mikasa."

She stared you down with her ice gray eyes. Looking like an empty wasteland inside her eyes... no hope inside. "Oh... she took care of you... then why does your kind hate us so much?"

"I don't know, Mikasa... but I know that I love cats. I want to help your kind, not hurt them... please... trust me..." You pleaded with, begging her to let you help them.

Eren nods as well, "Mikasa, she's right... please... Armin's still missing and-"

"How did you find me?"

You see Eren looks up to you, giving you a smile, "(y/n) did... she helped me find you... well, she did all the work." His eyes gleamed at you. "Please, Mikasa... trust her."

She nods, "Okay, Eren... I'll trust her..."

"Thank you... Mikasa..."

Suddenly, you started to offer lunch, "Mikasa, Eren, would you guys want lunch? Maybe sushi?"

Both nodded in glee.

After lunch at a sushi restaurant, you offer a place to stay to Mikasa.

"M-Me? W-Why?" She asks, staring at Eren. Her ears were down and her tail stopped swaying.

"Well, " You start to say, why did you want her to stay? Wasn't Eren enough to take care of now, since he practically moved in. "I want to make sure you have a place to stay, a warm place and where you can shower and get yourself clean."

She looks back at you, her eyes gleamed with thankfulness and grateful, but her ears became drawn back, her tail in an upright position. "Sorry, but I have to decline... but tell me where Eren's been staying at."

"He's been staying with me, Mikasa."

"Oh..." She was disappointed, her eyes changed to anger and jealously. But when she looked at Eren, seeing him smiling at you, she sighs. "Well... I guess it was nice to meet you again, Eren... but I'll find my own place... have you found Armin?"

Eren shakes his head, "No, but I have complete faith in (y/n) that she can find him." Eren then looks at you, grinning at you, eyes sparkling with joy. "(y/n) already proved to me that she can find just about anybody."

You felt your cheeks grow warm, they were blushing from Eren's comment towards you. Your whole body then started to radiant heat. "E-Eren..." You couldn't speak correctly, stammering and stuttering your words. "E-Eren... y-you didn't h-have to s-say that..." You try to avoid his gaze.

But you felt his gaze, burning deep into your soul, "Of course, (y/n), you did something incredible. I thought finding Mikasa and Armin were going to be impossible to fine. But no... I doubted you... and I shouldn't have... Thank you, (y/n)..."

"I-I would've done the same for anyone..."

"Not like this way, (y/n)... I trust you..."

Mikasa decided to stay where she was after lunch, so you and Eren went back to your apartment. You couldn't help but notice that Eren was giving you quick glances at you, but you never caught him in the act of doing so. But you felt his stares on you... for some reason... it felt... nice.

"Eren... I'm glad you trust me..." You say, after moments of silence. A cold breeze blew in, making your ears, nose, and cheeks red and cold.

He nods, "Thanks for finding Mikasa... now, I don't have to worry about her." You face him and you see him looking down at you. He smiled at you in the sweetest way you ever seen before. "All thanks to you, (y/n)... I owe you for doing so."

You shake your head, "No... you don't owe me..."

"(y/n), please... my thanks to you. If you want me near you, I'll be there for you... if you want to be together, we'll be together..."

"Eh?!" You start to scream internally by his words, all he did was look at you adorably. "Y-You-" His arms wrapped around your neck and pulled you close.

"It's fine, (y/n), we don't have to be together that quick if you don't want to... after all, I'm yours..."
