approaching hangyul about the situation was harder than what seungyoun had expected. it was as if the omega was ignoring him. whenever they passed each other by in the halls, hangyul would always avoid the alpha, not even sparing a glance. unknowingly, seungyoun had done the same for some odd reason.

it was like they were purposely ignoring each other.

hangyul didn't mean to. he just couldn't look seungyoun in the eye even after the past few days since what happened. he was busy working on his studies, getting ready for his exams rather than thinking of it. his thoughts had gone its way to thinking of the older alpha alpha reading a few pages of his philosophy textbook.

"this is boring" hangyul mumbled, closing his textbook and putting it in his bag. he decided that he'd go to a cafe and get some coffee in order to stay up at night and study.

he pushed in his chair as he left the study hall, making his way down the hallways. yohan still had classes, so he couldn't meet up with he alpha. and he still wasn't on good terms with seungyoun, so he was as lonely as ever.

he had wanted to approach the alpha earlier because he was tired of them ignoring each other, but his confident slowly slipped away when he looked up to see the alpha surrounded by girls, either asking for a picture or an autograph. he hoped that seungyoun didn't see him turn around and run off to the canteen for a lunch break.

in fact, seungyoun did see the boy. despite being surrounded by fangirls, he still noticed the distinct scent that hangyul emitted. he knew without even looking up from his feet. seungyoun wanted to give hangyul more time. he could've taken the chance and asked hangyul if he could talk, but he just had to be surrounded by his fans when hangyul approached him. it was the closest they got so far since the weekend.

he was busy since he was helping to prepare the graduation ceremony that was in a few weeks. he wasn't look forward to it since the ceremony would take at least three hours, but he was glad that he didn't have anymore exams since he took his last one a few weeks ago. he was free from studying now.

he was about to exit the school building until he felt hangyul's presence walking down the hall behind him. he stopped to turn around, seeing if his prediction was right and of course he was right. he didn't know if it was the right time to talk to the omega. he was getting nervous as the boy who was busy scrolling on his phone walked closer and closer.

"its sangyeons birthday" hangyul muttered to himself, busy opening the chat to text his brother. he hasn't seen his twin brother ever since school started. they did decided to pick the schools that were the farthest apart for some reason. well, it wasn't a bad reason. they just had interests in different things.

he had to admit that he missed having his siblings around. he only visited his parents on holidays and their get togethers were on special occasions. it was always fun since his family was around. jaehyun even brought his boyfriend along the last time they got together.

he saw his oldest brother a few months a go because of the incident, but other than that, they've been texting and checking up on each other like that.

"maybe i should go visit him" hangyul mumbled to himself, shutting his phone and slipping it into his pocket, "but his school is so far away"

the omega didn't even notice the alpha's presence until he almost bumped his head on the alpha's chest. he looked up, clearing his thoughts as he saw the older's face. it's been a while since they've been this close to each other, let alone talk to each other.

guilt suddenly washed over hangyul as he mumbled, "seungyoun sunbae" the grip on his bag tightened as he was scared at what was about to come next.

the alpha did nothing but grab the heavy bag on the shorter's shoulder and carry it himself. he turned around and continued walking, hoping that the omega took the hint and followed him. despite the second of confusion on hangyul's face, he understood what seungyoun was doing and decided to follow him wherever he was taking him.

he needed his textbook back anyways.

the walk was awkward since hangyul didn't know where they were headed. it was as if he forgot how to talk to the older after a few days of not communicating with him. despite not talking to the alpha, he still had the two hoodies from the alpha he practically slept with.

the alpha had his ears open, ready for hangyul to say something, but he turned around when he stopped hearing the soft footsteps of the younger. he raised his eyebrow, looking at the omega who stopped in his tracks, looking down at his feet.

"a-are those rumors true?" hangyul spoke up, voice cracking from his dry throat. the rumors that blew up in the school forum a few days ago had died down ever since. hangyul had read it, even the comments, feeling heartbroken even though he knew that his omega friend liked someone else. it hurt to see someone you like with another person.

seungyoun approached the younger, using his free hand to lift the omega's chin up, "of course not. why are you crying?" seungyoun found the pictures ridiculous since it was taken out of context. people thought he was courting wooseok now after he drove him to jinhyuk's place after their little talk on sunday.

hangyul didn't even realize that a few stray tears had fell down his cheek until seungyoun said so, quickly wiping them. god why was he so sensitive, "it's n-nothing"

"were you upset?" seungyoun whispered, looking down at the omega's teary eyes, helping the boy wipe the tears off with his sweater sleeve, "you know i'm not courting wooseok. he likes someone else and i like someone else"

"i'm sorry" hangyul couldn't hold back his tears anymore. he felt guilty that he couldn't let seungyoun explain that day. he was always so quick to jump to conclusions. now he looked like an idiot with tears streaming down his cheeks like waterfalls.

seungyoun pulled the omega to his chest, hugging him tightly, not wanting to ever let go, "do be sorry. it's all my fault" he felt hangyul shake his head from side to side in denial. it was his fault for being too slow to catch onto the younger's hint.

as much as hangyul wanted to be in seungyoun's embrace and cry himself until he fell asleep, he knew it wasn't appropriate considering how they were in the middle of the campus with people looking at them weirdly.

hangyul wiggled his way out of the older's tight embrace and grabbed the older's hand as he ran to the dormitory that was in the distance. he wiped his remaining tears, deciding that it would be best to continue letting out his feelings when he was back in his room.

that was until the alpha stopped him, making hangyul stop his sprinting and turning around instead, "s-sunbae?"

"let's go to my place" the alpha murmured, guiding the omega to his car, and being the one to lead the omega this time. though the omega was confused as to why the alpha changed his mind all of a sudden, the omega followed him anyways.

it was the first time— no— second time he was in seungyoun's car. as he closed the door on the passenger side, seungyoun did the same but on the other side while starting the car. hangyul had to admit it was pretty cool to be inside his sunbae's car. he did smell faint traces of wooseok's scent on the carseat though which made him pout.

seungyoun glanced over at the omega, seeing how he practically had stars in his eyes as he looked around the car, making the older smile. he leaned over, catching the omega's attention and making his adrenaline rush.

hangyul expected a kiss or some sort of head pat, but the older just grabbed his seat belt and put it on for him, "you forgot your seatbelt. safety first cutie" the alpha chuckled, leaned back after hearing the click sound of the seatbelt being fastened.

hangyul's cheeks tinted red in embarrassment as he looked out the car window. he couldn't believe he had such expectations a moment ago. suddenly, something hit him— the strong scent that was emitting from the person next to him.

it wasn't seungyoun's ordinary scent at all.

the ride to seungyoun's place was short but hangyul was more occupied on the alpha's change in scent all of a sudden. it was also questionable as to why the alpha was shaking his head and emitting such strong pheromones.

it almost made hangyul turned on for some reason. his body was reacting to the scent and he gulped as he felt a familiar wetness pooling down under there as he got out of the car and headed up the stairs to the older's condo.

and just as seungyoun shut the door, he pinned the younger to the wall, trapping the omega in between himself and the wall as he looked into the omega's eyes. there was a certain thing that was different about the orbs hangyul was looking into. the alpha looked as if he was craving lust.

"fuck . . . . . . . ." the alpha cursed looking down as he tried to hold himself back, lowering his arms to hold his head. his inner alpha wanted to jump out so bad, "why does this have to happen now? i just wanted to apologize to you"

hangyul's eyes gleamed with worry, looking at the alpha who was acting all strange in front of him. was this seungyoun's rut? he read about it somewhere when he was reading online and remembered that it was similar to an omega's heat.

"your rut" hangyul whispered, grabbing seungyoun's hands from his head to make sure the alpha was hearing him properly, "do you have any pills?" the omega was about to let go of the alpha's hands but the alpha pulled him into his embrace.

"shit" seungyoun mumbled, leaning down to inhale the omega's sweet pheromones. the scent glands were right in front of him and his canines were itching to just claim the omega here and now, "fuck you smell so good. i want you so bad hangyul"

hearing the alpha growl that out made hangyul's inner omega want to jump out himself. this was dangerous. both of them couldn't do it if they weren't in their right minds. they could do something they regretted.

and as much as hangyul wanted to get fucked senseless by an alpha like seungyoun, he didn't want the alpha to regret anything he did. well, if he did.
