"hangyul-ah" yohan poked the sleeping beta's cheek. the boy had just returned back from the cafe, yuvin taking him back— insisting on doing so while seungyoun headed to his father's company. when he had gotten back, the beta was asleep on his desk, resting his head on top of his textbook.

"mm five more minutes" hangyul mumbled, pushing the alpha's hand away. the alpha rolled his eyes and continued to poke the boy's cheek.

"aren't you gonna tell me about what happened today?" yohan cocked his head to the side, pouting a little, hoping that the beta would open his eyes.

hangyul hummed, letting out a groan and rubbing his eyes, "i'm tired" the boy sat up and stretched his arms before looking at the alpha, "where were you? your classes ended hours ago. you left me all at home by myself" the beta pouted.

yohan let out a nervous giggle, rubbing the back of his nape, "i was with seungyoun sunbae and yuvin sunbae"

hearing that made hangyul's eyes widen, "s-since when we're you close with them? you didn't even tell me yohan! i thought you were my best friend!" seungyoun already took him back earlier, but he couldn't help but feel left out after he heard that. he wanted to get close to seungyoun and yuvin too.

yohan shook his head, waving his hands in front of him, "we were just talking about a few things. yuvin and i met seungyoun sunbae when he was walking me back"

hangyul's mouth turned into an 'o' shape and nodded. the alpha must've ran into seungyoun when he was heading out of the dorms. a smile unknowingly appeared on his face as he walked over to his bed and sat down beside yohan, who was laying down beside him.

"seungyoun sunbae took me back today" hangyul said, fiddling with his fingers as he looked down at his lap, "a-after what happened with minjun"

once hangyul mentioned the name of the alpha he didn't want to think of, the air got thicker. yohan had heard the story from seungyoun, but he wanted to hear it from hangyul too, and perhaps comfort him now since he couldn't do it before.

"what did that asshole say?" yohan grumbled, turning his head to look at the boy beside him, "how he prefers omegas over betas?"

hangyul swallowed his saliva before whipping his head to look at yohan, "h-how did you know? did seungyoun sunbae tell you?"

"maybe" yohan covered his mouth. he wasn't supposed to say that. he couldn't help it. hearing that made him angry. his best friend's heart was broken just because of a plain reason. now that he was suspecting hangyul as an omega, he was being even more cautious. he wasn't going to let minjun get him back once he finds out he's an omega.

hangyul let out a sigh and smiled, "so you met up with sunbae to talk about me?" despite his heart breaking all over again after a few hours of occupying his brain with something else, he felt his eyes get wet. he quickly shook his head and covered his face with his hands.

he couldn't get that pathetic reason out of his head.

yohan sat up quickly and looked at the beta, "hangyul . . . . . . ." he reached over to hangyul's desk to grab a box of tissues.

"i-i'm okay" hangyul shook his head, grabbing a tissue and wiping his cheek. he has to stay strong. maybe there were other aspects that minjun didn't like about him. maybe that was also why he broke up with him. maybe it wasn't just because he was a beta—

"he doesn't deserve you" yohan mumbled angrily as he engulfed the boy into a hug. hangyul's eyes widened. he knew yohan wasn't a big fan of touching other people because he was shy, but feeling yohan's arms made him happy. he had someone by his side.

hangyul sniffled, nodding as he rested his head into the crook of yohan's neck. yohan simply flushed in embarrassment. he only learned this from yuvin since he was always comforting him when he was talking about how worried he was for hangyul.

hangyul finally lifted his head up with a small smile, "s-since when did you learn to hug people?" hangyul giggled when he saw the red cheeks on the alpha's face as he put his arms down.

"y-yuvin sunbae did that to comfort me so i got used to it i guess" yohan muttered shyly, "minjun was bad at that stuff anyways, wasn't he?"

hangyul let another giggle slip out of his lips as he walked over to the trashcan to throw his tissues away. it was cute to see yohan do these things as he was always shy and embarrassed to do such things with the same gender unless it was his little brother who he absolutely loved.

"and you have me, wooseok, seungyoun sunbae, yuvin sunbae and many other people to hug you too!" yohan said, cheering up the beta, "you don't need minjun!"

hangyul smiled, laying back down on his bed and rubbing his eyes, "i don't need him" he repeated the same phrase over and over again. he knew it wouldn't be easy to forget about the alpha. part of him still loves the alpha to bits and pieces.

"it's hard isn't it?" yohan asked after a few minutes of silence between them. he got up and headed over to his side of the room and laid down on his bed, "forgetting about someone you used to love"

hangyul hummed, putting his hands behind his head and looking up at the ceiling, "its easy to fall in love" he rolled over to his side to face the wall, "but its hard to get back up isn't it?"

yohan pouted. he was never in hangyul's position so he wouldn't have known the heartbreak the boy was going through. he just knew it was hard for the beta. just seeing him cry made him feel hurt. he hasn't yet found the perfect ideal omega or beta he wanted to date— or alpha.

"seungyoun sunbae can put back together your broken heart" yohan teased, smirking at hangyul, hoping he'd feel better from hearing that. even though the boy was facing the wall, he could tell the beta was blushing. any mention of the alpha had him red like a tomato.

"d-don't de delusional" hangyul mumbled, pulling his blanket over his head, "seungyoun sunbae is just really nice to everyone. he's our senior after all"

yohan rolled his eyes, scoffing before getting up and walking to the bathroom. it was obvious seungyoun had some sort of liking to his best friend. he saw it with his own eyes the day seungyoun carried hangyul onto his back and to his car. he even knew something was up today when he smelled hangyul's faint scent on seungyoun.

seungyoun wasn't just close to anyone, was he?
