"Sweetie! Up you get! First day of school!" My mum yelled from downstairs

"YAY!" I cheered before hopping out of bed and going to my closet to find something to wear. Since I'm not big on fashion like most girls, I grab out some leggings, a simple white shirt and a blue hoodie to top it all off.
I grab my hair tie and put my hair up in a messy bun as I walk down the stairs and ran into the kitchen to greet my mum.

"Woah! Slow down there sweets! What's the matter?" Worry flashed across her face.

"Don't worry mum! I'm just really excited to go back to school again!" I stuffed my face with a spoonful of cereal.

"Whoo! You had me worried there for a second. I thought there was an emergency!"

"What time do we have to go?" I asked

"7 o'clock honey. Usually your school is supposed to start at 8 but i wanted to get you there early so you can settle in, remember?"

"Oh yah! I forgot," I laughed.

When we drove past the dog park, I looked out the window and saw loads of owners happily playing with their energetic dogs. That made me wonder how hard it would be to care for a dog. The last time we had a pet was when I was 2 years old. We had a Guinea pig but I didn't even do anything with it besides stare at it.
"Mum? Can we get a dog someday?" I asked out of curiosity.

She looked in the rear view mirror, "I don't know sweets, you might not be ready for that kind of responsibility. Remember the last pet we had?"

"Mum! I was 2! I'm 18 now!"

She laughed, "okay sweetie, I'll talk to your father about it. But don't get too excited, he might not agree."

"Thanks mum!" I smiled.

At school, I said goodbye to my mum before heading to the front office to get my schedule and information. Apparently some guy is meant to show me around the school since its kind of really big.
"Hi! I'm Ally Hofferson, I'm new here." I said while grinning at the woman in her 40s at the front desk.

"Ah yes! Welcome to Beverly Hills Technology High! Here's your schedule and the person showing you around should be here any minute. So if you would like to have a seat over there, he'll be with you when he arrives. Enjoy your time here!" She said, smiling a genuine smile the whole time.

"Thanks!" I looked at her name tag. "Um, Katherine!" Before heading to the small lounge area and pulling out the first book in the Twilight Saga series.

5 minutes later, I notice a guy with messy auburn hair walk in towards where Katherine was sitting. She pointed towards me and he nodded his head. When he was close to me, I saw his features more clearly. He had mesmerising emerald green eyes, a couple of freckles dotted around his face and from the looks of well, everything, he was a bad boy.
Uh oh... What's going to happen? I gulped.

HAYDEN
When I saw her clearly, she actually looked really cute. She was a goody goody from what I could see. She had her face buried in her book with her phone no where to be seen. Wait, did she just gulp? Oh this is going to be fun! I smirked and said, "Hey. I'm Hayden, I'm your guide until you settle in. Here, pass me your schedule. please." I tried to be polite to make a good first impression.

"Hi. I'm Ally, here's my schedule." She said shyly while passing me the piece of paper in her hands.

"Oh right! I forgot! They put us in the same classes this year so I can look after you apparently." I rolled my eyes.

She raised an eyebrow, "Um, okay. Could you please show me around? That would be handy."

"K whatever." I mumbled before gesturing to follow me.
She grabbed her bag and ran after me, trying to keep up with my long legs. Then I had an idea. I snaked my arm around her waist and pulled her forward so she would keep up.
"Wh-what are y-you doing?" She stumbled.

"You're cute when you stutter. And this is just so you'll keep up with me. If I don't do this, you'll be left far behind."

"Oh um, o-okay."
Something inside me tells me not to mess around with her. To try to gain her trust and be nice to her. What?? What's happening to me? I swear this girl has effects on me. I shook my head and mumbled, "what is wrong with me?"

"Huh?" She asked.

"Nothing," I muttered back while removing my hand from her waist.
