Long time no see

The collab date is coming up faster than I thought... it's just in a month and I haven't even met up with Jungkook to rehearse. I also have no idea what the performance will be. I told the staff to let Jungkook pick out everything, for me it doesn't matter. I just want to get this over with as fast as possible.

It's early in the morning when I get a notification text from Jungkook.

When I see his name pop up it gives me butterflies.. just like the first time he texted me. But when I read the text the butterflies quickly die.

He could have been nicer. I mean he didn't have to be such an aggressive ass.

I quickly change and get ready not putting in any effort in my appearance. I hop in my car and arrive at the studio.

"Good morning" I say softly trying not to sound too irritated.

He turns around and greets me as well. He's wearing his classic black tee and ripped jeans. How could he look so effortlessly beautiful. He sits on the floor eyes glued to his phone.

As I'm about to sit down he gets up and hands me his phone.

"Watch the video and remember the moves." He instructs.

"Okay smartass." I clap back. "You don't have to be so rude."

I watch the video of him dancing which to be honest I have nothing bad to say. Every move is perfectly on beat, it's somehow satisfying to watch.

"Okay so what do you want from me?" I ask.

"We have to decide your choreography and you need to learn the song."

"I thought this was only a dance performance." I say.

"Oh please if we're gonna do this we have to go all out."

"Fine."

We begin adding more to the choreography for about two hours. And the best part is I don't have to talk to him that much as we dance.

Eventually we decide to take a break, I sit on the floor with a bottle of cold water and my phone in hand.

"So I see the student becomes the teacher." Jungkook suddenly says.

Somehow with every sentence he becomes more and more annoying. I have no idea how that happens. It'll probably take everything out of me to keep calm during this whole month.

"Seems like you finally got that collab you wanted to badly." I say remembering our first argument.

He looks down at the ground, maybe I went too far. I put my phone down next to me and look up at him in curiosity.

"I just want to know one thing." I begin. "Was our relationship ever real to you? Was I even important? Or was it all a game?"

He looks at me with glassy eyes not believing the words coming from my mouth.

"How could you even think that... of course it was real of course you were important to me.. hell you still are." He says angrily.

"Doesn't seems like it." I say softly unter my breath.

"I should be asking you that, I mean you look pretty happy with Chanyeol."

"That has nothing to do with our relationship, we broke up when I started seeing him." I defend myself.

"Did you think about how I felt?" He asks.

"Jungkook.. don't do this.. you started dating IU a couple weeks after we broke up! How do you think that made me feel." I sigh.

"Well congratulations on getting your dream girl."

"Will you stop saying that." He says while shaking his head.

"Why it's the truth isn't it?"

"No.. the truth is that your my dream, and you'll always be." He says staring into my eyes.

We keep eye contact for a little too long. After I realize what's happening I immediately get up and grab my bag.

"I think I've had enough practice for today.. I'll see you tomorrow." I say while leaving.

I can't do this I can't do this I can't do this. He's not good for me he only breaks my heart again and again. I wish I could erase him from my memory all of those memories I just want them gone.

A little later that day I get a call from my manager telling me that there is an urgent meeting and I have to go to the bighit building immediately.

I try to get there as quick as possible and when I go in I spot a familiar face.

"Hi peanut" Chanyeol says when he sees me. He hugs me and I instantly jump because our relationship is suppose to be secret.

"Chan what's going on?" I say looking up at him. He takes out his phone and shows me a few photos from our dates.

"Aaa I knew it was too good to be true." I told him with a little sigh.

I really don't want to let him go.. it was just the beginning of something. I needed him,, he was my safe place. And now I'll have to let him go too.

I hold his hand tightly until we go in the meeting room. I don't have even a little bit of hope that they'd let me continue to date Chan.

First he's from SM and I'm from bighit, two completely different companies. Second his fans would hate me, I mean I have so much hate already I don't need more.

After hours and hours of arguing between staff members and managers I completely stopped listening. Why do I have to wait here and have some kind of hope when I know what will happen in the end.

As I'm about to lose my patience.. the unthinkable happens.

"Fine we'll allow it this once."

Me and Chanyeol exchange glances not believing what's happening.

"It's like a peace making contact between big hit and SM entertainment. We can finally shake hands and not be at each other's throats." Someone says.

I kiss Chanyeol cheek and smile brightly at him. I'm so thankful that I'll have him by my side. I need this, I need him.

Maybe I'll get a happy ending after all.
