Ruin you

It's the afternoon and I'm back from going to the singing lessons Jungkook recommended for me when I get a text from him.

I stare at my phone while my heart drops to the floor. I wonder what he wants to talk about.

What if he wants to break up?

I immediately push that thought out of my head and ring his doorbell.

I hear his footsteps coming closer to the door. He opens the door and there Jungkook stands with puffy eyes and red cheeks. Something is definitely wrong. I just can't put my finger on it.

"Hey..." He says without looking into my eyes.

"Hey my little coconut." I say and try to hug him but he walks to the kitchen before I can.

I quickly follow behind him and see how he takes a beer out of the refrigerator.

"Y/n... I don't think this is going to work out between us... maybe we should break up." He says softly.

I laugh. This is clearly a joke. Just yesterday we were cuddling and kissing me and telling me how he'll never leave me.

He doesn't laugh. He's serious. That's when my smile disappears.

"Wait..." I began. "You're not joking?"

"I'll ruin you... I can't do that to you." He says and I see how he's starting tearing up.

That's when I feel tears fall on my cheeks.

"What's going on? Are you okay?" I say worrying.

"I'm sorry..."

"I love you." I whisper and put my hand on his back. "Don't leave me."

"Please just go." He says softly.

"Tell me, look me in the eyes and tell me you don't love me anymore." I say on the verge of breaking down.

He looks up at me. "I don't love you anymore."

"I guess I'll never bother you from now on." I say and run out of his apartment. I can't think straight I don't know what to do now.

Jungkook POV

She runs out of my apartment and that's when I break down. I take a sip of my beer while my hands are shaking.

It had to be done. This way I know she won't come back to me. I hurt her too much, but I hurt myself even more by lying to her.

"I'm sorry" I whisper

I'm sorry I broke our promise. I can't believe I chose my career over her. The boys will never forgive me.

Your POV

Somehow I find myself infront of the dorms. I knock on the door and Jin opens up.

He notices my red and puffy eyes. He's taken by shock and doesn't know what to say.

I just walk into their dorms and sit on the couch. Namjoon comes over.

"Hey baby sis." He says not noticing my face.

I put my face on my hands.

"Jungkook- He.. he broke up with me." I say crying not believing the words coming out of my mouth.

Everyone in the room gaps.

Jimin and Tae come and join us on the couch.

They don't ask any questions they're all just hugging and patting me on the back.

"It hurts" I say quietly drowning in my tears.

"Of course it does." Namjoon pauses. "The hurt is how we know it was love. It's something that we've loved so much but lost. Just like loosing your favorite toy."

"So when does it stop?" I ask quietly

"If it was love, it won't."

I'm not gonna lie this chapter made me super emotional. I don't know exactly why.
