"I told you, I'm fine," I assured for about the tenth time. "Just focus on saving Lydia."

"Kara-" Stiles started.

"Stiles, leave," I said firmly before glancing back up to Liam and Scott, who were watching me carefully. "For gods sake just go I'll be fine."

"We'll be at Scott's, okay?" Liam informed. "If you need anything, just ring."

"Okay, I got it," I huffed impatiently. They had more important things to be focusing on than me. I watched the three of them share a worried glance before Liam shook his head.

"I don't know about this. Maybe I should stay."

"Liam," I snapped a little too harshly. "Liam, just go," I grabbed his hand, giving him a small smile. "I'll call you if I need anything, I promise."

Liam exhaled harshly, causing Stiles to place his hand on my younger brother's shoulder. "Come on, let's go."

Reluctantly, my brother turned around and headed out of my bedroom door with Scott and Stiles, closing it shut behind him. I sighed, waiting until I knew they'd gone, before reaching over and grabbing my laptop. I'd just logged in when there was a loud knock at my door, causing me to groan. "I told you guys to go!" I yelled out, grabbing a pillow to throw at whoever had defied my orders.

"Sorry, no can do, sweetheart." My whole body tensed up as the door opened to reveal Theo. His infamous smirk was plastered over his face as he stood, watching me. My eyes flitted over to my phone and Theo raised his eyebrows. "I wouldn't do that if I were you."

"What are you doing here?" I asked, annoyed by the undertone of fear in my voice. Of course, I was scared. The night he left me and Lydia in the woods alone was the most terrifying night of my life. I was never going to be able to forget that. The fact that he could still walk around like none of that happened absolutely petrified me. I was starting to regret sending the others away.

"Kara, whether you like it or not, you're part of my pack."

"I'm not part of shit," I snapped. "Get out."

"You're one of us now."

"One of us?" I shook my head, shoving the laptop off me and placing my feet on the floor, standing up. "Theo, what the hell are on about?"

"I'm surprised they haven't told you yet," he said, tilting his head to the side. "But I think you already know what I'm going to tell you."

Theo was right, I had been suspicious since Scott and Liam had started acting weird in the hospital. What Scott had said, "I'm going to talk to Theo and find out what they did."

What they did. I knew what it meant, I just didn't want it to be true. "What happened?" I asked. "After I blacked out, what happened?" Theo didn't say anything for a moment, which only irritated me further. "Theo!"

"You've been hearing things clearer, haven't you? Feeling things, smelling things. A lot of your senses heightened, right?"

I squeezed my eyes shut, feeling my heart completely sinking in my chest. There was no way that this was happening. "Please-" I started, my voice choking up. "Tell me this is all just a coincidence."

"Kara, you're stronger now. You can do so-"

"No!" I exclaimed, cutting him off. "I didn't ask for this. I didn't ask for any of this!" I furiously stepped closer to him, my eyes levelling with his. "I don't want to be like you."

"Me and you," he started. "We're powerful now."

I shook my head in disbelief, my hands flying to my head as I realised how much of an idiot I had been. I let Theo in. I let him manipulate me. I let him use me. I was just a pawn in his stupid game. "Stop, just stop. This was part of your game from the start, wasn't it?"

"I haven't been playing a game, Kara."

I closed my eyes, laughing half heartedly. "I can't believe you!"

"We're Chimera's now and we're strong. But we can be stronger together. I want you in my pack, Kara."

"No," I said firmly. "I'm not going anywhere with you."

"We have something special," he said, his hands reaching out to touch my face.

I stepped away from him, my eyes narrowing into a glare. "Anything we had, Theo, is gone now. Kidnapping me, that's not- that's not romantic. Turning me into one of these things against my will, that's not love! None of it was real from the start and you know it! There is no way in hell that I'm going anywhere with you."

"We still have a bond," he countered. "Whether you like it or not."

"Oh, shove it up your ass, Theo."

He let out a silent laugh, his smug grin ghosting over his face again. "This isn't the end."

"Oh my god, just go!" I pushed him harshly towards the door and after a moment, he didn't protest. He turned to face me, opening his mouth to say something else but I cut him off. "Wait. What-what am I?"

"You're a werewolf. And a coyote," he said. "Like me."  I closed my eyes shut, taking a deep breath. I didn't want this at all. I really didn't want to be this. "You sure you don't wanna join me?"

"I'd rather die." I rolled my eyes and slammed the door shut, heading back over to my bed as I tried to process everything.

As well as the overpowering need to just scream my lungs out, my whole body felt defeated. My heart was beating uncontrollably and my throat felt like it was closing up every time I sucked in a breath. There was sickening ache building up in my stomach that made me just want to curl up and cry. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be feeling, how I was supposed to be reacting. All I wanted was someone with me to help me through it, but everyone was helping Lydia. Saving Lydia from Eichen House was the most important thing. Even if I felt like I needed saving, I was alone with this. For now, I had to save myself.

I don't know how long I was lost in thought for, but my phone suddenly started to buzz on the side, snapping me back to my harsh reality. I reached over to grab it, wondering why my brother's best friend was calling. "Mason?"

"Kara, are you with the others?" He asked, his voice sounding shaky.

"No, I'm at home. What's wrong?"

"I didn't want to call you unless I was desperate but I think I might need your help."

"Are you okay? Are you hurt-"

"I'm fine. I'm outside Eichen."

"Oh, god."

I spotted a black car outside the side of the building and ran over. I heard the engine revving and I quickly placed my hand on the side of the window. "What the hell are you doing?"

Mason jumped back, his hand on his chest. "Oh thank god. Can we use your car?"

"Are you being serious right now?"

Before he could answer, I felt another presence come up behind me. "A car is not getting through that."

"Hayden," Mason breathed out. "Perfect timing. You got any better ideas?" The younger girl turned to look at the wall before heading over to it. I shared a look with Mason who immediately unclipped his seatbelt and got out of the car. The two of us stepped over to her with uncertainty. "Hayden," Mason started. "Hayden..."

She moved backwards, still eyeing the wall. "Hayden," I cautioned. She ignored me, running forwards as Mason and I shouted protests. My mouth fell open in shock as I watched her fly through the air before disappearing behind the wall.

"I'm in!" She called out, causing me to sigh in relief.

Mason started pulling a piece of paper out of his pocket, and I noticed it was blueprints. "Okay. Um... Okay. There's two red levers," He shouted up to her. "You're going to pull them both. You see them?"

"I see ten."

Mason looked back down at the piece of paper. "Two," he corrected.

"No. Ten. There's ten red levers. What do I do?" She asked. Mason and I shared a look and I groaned. This could not be happening. "Mason? Kara? What am I supposed to do?"

I snatched the map out of Mason's hand and studied it for a moment before shouting back up to her. "Hayden, just pull them all. Just pull them all!" Seconds later, I saw all the shutters from the buildings lifting up. I choked out a breath of relief, grabbing Mason's arm. "Did that work?"

"I think it worked."
