Clichès are everywhere and never ending. One moment, something is original and brilliant. The next, it is overused and dull. Here, we will list common clichès, whether you adore them and want to use them, or abhore them and want to avoid them.

Werewolf
- white wolf and the powers that come with it (e.g., Magic, rainbow eyes, special mate marks, etc.)
- twin mates, alpha mates, beta mates
- the main character is an omega (generally abused or neglected in some way) and becomes mates with one of the above
- the main character is a rogue on the run and stumbles upon the territory of a fearsome alpha

- the main character finds out they aren't actually human like they thought they were all their life
- the main character has magic and is powerful, therefore the only one who can take down the enemy
- the main character meets Death (or Lucifer/Satan/the Devil) who has a thing for the main character

- the main character's birth is shrouded in mystery (usually leading to becoming a princess)
- some kind of academy (pertains to other genres as well)
- mated to a dragon, taken to a faerie court, ect.

- the romantic interest is a CEO of a multibillion/million dollar company (and is young)
- an arranged marriage of some kind takes place with the above
- the main character runs into a wall and meets the bad boy
- the main character is "witty" and "sarcastic"

- the main character is kidnapped and/or stalked
- the main character is abused/tortured in some way
- the main character is getting revenge

Mystery/Thriller
- the main character found someone's diary
- the main character saw someone die/knows something about someone's death that no one else knows
- someone runs through a wooded area in a white nightgown

Vampire
- the main character is female and human
- the main character gets with the biggest, baddest vampire (usually a king of some kind)
