❝you met your ex-boyfriend and it has just been the second day and you got in trouble.❞ renjun said all at once after sipping on to his matcha shake, eyeing chenle as if it was the most predictable possibility ever.

donghyuck, who was sitting across the two, had his brows furrowed. ❝wait, what?❞

after class ended, chenle had asked permission from xiaojun that he'd go out to meet with his friends. xiaojun didn't want to let him go out at night but the younger insisted, begging him that he had missed his friends so much. after thirty minutes of talking about it, xiaojun finally let chenle go but warned him about going out too late. chenle only reassured him that he won't stay out too late and even if he does, he won't be harmed because he's an alpha. xiaojun actually believed what he said.

right now, chenle met up with renjun and donghyuck at a cafe nearby and are now sitting at a table near the window and they mayhaps are the most loudest group inside the cafe.

the youngest omega gave renjun a look, ❝how did you know?❞

chenle puffed his cheeks as he had his arms crossed, leaning back on his seat and slouched his shoulders down. ❝you didn't even bother telling me.❞

❝why? if i tell you, would you cancel your application in that school?❞ the other chinese questioned, only making the youngest huff in annoyance because he had a point. even if renjun would tell chenle about his ex-boyfriend being in that school, he still won't back out in going there.

sometimes, chenle cursed at how renjun always gets things right.

finishing his shake, renjun placed the cup down before speaking once again. ❝let me guess again,❞ he then earned the looks of the two omegas. ❝he got wild and destroyed a locker.❞

donghyuck was there, physically and mentally present there, yet neither of them paid attention to him. he only had his brows furrowed as he listened to the two in confusion. but what made him sigh in disappointment was how chenle's ex-boyfriend destroyed a locker. he still wasn't over with the vacuum cleaner and now he's out there destroying lockers.

that then made renjun raised a hand and didn't hesitate to smack the omega on his head, earning looks from the others that were surrounding them. again, they were the most loudest inside the cafe they were in. a little more then they could have been kicked out outside this cafe if it weren't for renjun being friends of one of the waiters inside this cafe. ❝he's going to have a personal bodyguard, dumbass!❞

❝personal bodyguard?❞ that made chenle scoff. how can that alpha be his personal bodyguard when he himself hurts him by dragging him around like he's just some bag of fruits? and not to mention that one time that alpha threatened him to leave the campus. ❝he has no business with me anymore, what are you talking about?❞

❝you'll still run into his arms after anyways so why bother make a deal of that?❞ donghyuck cuts him off before he could hear the younger speak more lies.

the youngest chinese glared at the tanned male before saying something. ❝i moved on already, okay?❞

❝moved on, let's see.❞ renjun squinted his eyes, tapping his chin and looking like he was thinking very deeply. ❝i don't remember that existing in your dictionary.❞

chenle lowered his head, playing with his fingers as he was finding the right words to say. finally having something in mind, he mumbled it out with his cheeks heating up and head still down. ❝well, i guess i still care about him a little bit..❞

he still was guilty of talking back at jisung when he dragged him away from his cousin. he knew that the alpha's purpose was just to keep him away from trouble and plus, jisung didn't know it was his cousin. also, chenle was still worried at the pure blooded's hand that one time when he slammed it on the locker.

so maybe, just a tiny bit, he still cared.

the two heard it loud and clear despite of the younger saying it out like a whisper. ❝told you donghyuck.❞ renjun then had his hand out to the tanned male, ❝money.❞

the youngest then raised his head, ❝you two took a bet on it?!❞

❝donghyuck told me that you won't fall in love with that pure alpha again.❞ the oldest explained as he smirked at the omega who's now pouting. ❝which he was wrong.❞

❝you technically haven't won the bet,❞ chenle said, surprisingly defending the tanned male. ❝because donghyuck hyung is right about me not falling in love with him again.❞

hearing that, even though it was quite sad, donghyuck proudly had a smile on his face. he then crossed his arms and raised a brow at renjun. ❝oh my, is that money from renjun i hear?❞

the oldest then clicked his tongue, threatening to his the omega across them with his small fists. ❝whatever, we all know they are going to get back together.❞ saying that he was going to win the bet at the end of the day.

❝dream on, ge.❞ chenle said with his eyes rolled.

that pure blooded alpha is probably mad at him right now, how would they get back together in that case?

shaking his head, chenle couldn't believe that he was even thinking about getting back at the alpha. they have broken up and that means they are over. he's also at an alpha school, there are so many perks and one of them is having an easy time finding a boyfriend. yeah, maybe that's what he need to take his mind off from this specific pure blooded alpha. he might consider finding a boyfriend during his stay there. in that way, not only was he going to have a personal bodyguard (as what renjun and donghyuck addressed his ex-boyfriend as) but he'll also have a typical college love story.

as he was busy with his thoughts about finding a boyfriend just to forget someone, he didn't notice someone walking towards them with a bright smile. if it weren't for renjun shouting his name then he wouldn't have snapped out from his thoughts.

both the omegas turned their heads towards where renjun was waving at before looking at each other as they were unfamiliar with the person. with him getting closer, it was just then both donghyuck and chenle calmed their senses down when they could smell his scent and determined it as one of them.

❝guys, this is yangyang.❞ renjun introduced, motioning his hand for the omega to sit right next to donghyuck who scooted to give him enough space. both chenle and donghyuck greeted the omega a small smile before renjun continued. ❝yang, these are my slaves.❞

yangyang is the waiter of the this cafe which renjun told them about awhile ago which is why they weren't kicked out yet despite of their voices filling up the cafe.

the omega, which renjun called as yangyang, let out a laugh as the other two whom renjun named as slaves glared at the short male. ❝nice to meet you.❞

❝don't listen to this midget.❞ donghyuck clicked his tongue before turning to the omega beside him. ❝that's chenle and i'm donghyuck.❞

with them easily getting comfortable with each other, maybe because they were a group of omegas and that they click very well, renjun tore his attention to donghyuck who kept on speaking about how his boyfriend and how sweet he is. renjun rolled his eyes at how donghyuck was holding himself back from spilling the tea about how rough his boyfriend is in bed. well, at least he's trying to keep these two omegas innocent.

he walked out of the campus with a low groan, complaining about how the meeting of the dance club took so long that it was getting late. jisung blamed the introduction of each member, and also for the new ones. a simple introduction would do but no, some just had to be so extra and even include their cats in it. yeah, he's talking about jeno.

opening his mouth to say something, chenle widened his eyes when he felt a breath tickling his neck. snapping his head around, the another alpha had his face close to him as he sniffed with a smirk plastered on that lips of his. ❝you smell good tonight.❞

he still had his scent blocked but being all touchy with renjun, he mayhaps had that omega's scent rubbed on him. the small figure then took a step back, planning to make a run for it, but was then met with a chest that made chenle freeze.

the other alpha he had bumped from behind leaned down just to whisper to his ears. ❝come on kitten, we won't hurt you.❞ then a chuckle was heard from him. ❝but we might bite.❞

chenle hated the fact that he can't do anything in this situation. pushing them away would be useless since an omega's strength was no match for an alpha's but nonetheless, he'd still do that if they get to touch him. he felt small under their gazes and it made him recall every warning his friends had told him.

clutching on to the hoodie he his holding, he moved away when a hand was reached out for him. fortunately, it didn't get to grab him in time became of a voice that caused the alphas that are surrounding him to turn their heads around.

chenle peeked his head to the side and had never felt so relieved to see him. he then bit his lower lip as he stood there, holding himself back from running towards the one that stopped the alphas from touching him.

❝touch him, i dare you.❞ the owner of that voice said again, standing there with both his hands inside his pockets and eyes just simply calm as he stared at them.

but they very well knew that those eyes meant death.

one alpha though was brave enough to speak. ❝well, if it isn't jisung park.❞

the other two stared at the one who spoke, nudging that alpha to remind him who he was facing with. being called out, the pure blooded took a step closer with his face still remaining expressionless. that made the other two move back from the small figure but one was bold enough to block chenle from the pure blooded's view.

❝why aren't you touching him?❞ he questioned out, more likely wanting them to see what he can do if they'd lay a finger on the scared male. ❝aren't you planning to bring him to your room?❞

with that smirk not being wiped away from his face, the brave one stayed there while waiting for jisung to walk closer. ❝we planned to do that. you wouldn't mind, would you?❞

the taller male let out a scoff the moment he stood in front of the alpha that blocker the shorter male. the alpha actually thought that jisung would walk past by them but instead, he was greeted by a fist swinging to him given by the pure blooded. that punch caused him to stumble to the side and gave jisung a view of the scared omega. the two alphas that had witnessed the sight gulped in fear, walking over to their friend that's on the ground.

❝fuck off.❞ jisung growled at them, fists clenched as it was ready for another swing.

they didn't need to receive another punch to understand what he meant. the two alphas who were unharmed chanted an apology as they brought along their friend who is still groaning in pain. jisung glared at them as they scurried off towards the building, noticing the small figure in front him shaking.

just when they disappeared from his sight, his eyes softened once he looked down at the omega who's sniffling.

❝look, chenle, i know you told me to mind my business.❞ he started to ramble, feeling the need to explain before this omega scolds him again. plus, he considers himself as a man who has a heart. if it were another omega in trouble then he'd probably walk up to help. ❝but i'm not that heartless to just leave you there and be harassed by those alpha! if you could have just been more careful then—❞

jisung didn't get to finish his explanation when he felt his breathing hitch as soon as he felt arms being gently wrapped around his body and a head buried on his chest. he stood there in shock as chenle gave him a hug, feeling safe being near him.

❝j-ji..❞ the omega muffled out, tightening his embrace on to the pure blooded's body. ❝thank you.❞

fuck, he couldn't seem to lower the volume of his heart from beating so loudly.
