being left inside the room alone, chenle first had his eyes scanned around the large space before curling up and hugging his legs. he then buried his head down to his knees and sniffles coming from him were heard moments after.

he couldn't believe there would actually be a day he would be saying this but, he missed home.

when his name was called, the male quickly wiped his tears and took a deep breath in before facing the woman getting inside the pure blooded's room with a wide smile on her face.

that caused for chenle to space out for a while. after meeting jisung's family, he couldn't deny how jealous he felt. of course, he still felt bad hating them in the first place because of how they were forcing the young pure blooded to be with another alpha. but seeing them up close and realizing that they aren't that bad as what they thought they were, he envied the pure blooded's life.

he had a caring and loving mother, also a father that may not be perfect but he loves his wife very much and changing his perspective is the proof. staying with them for a couple of days were enough to tell chenle that this is the life he can never have. his mother can't even ask how his day has been and his father was always busy with their business to even give time for his own family. the moments where he can be with his parents, they were only filled with them telling the omega what he should do for his future, whom to hang out with so he could be influenced in a way that their business can be benefited, and not to mention how they were planning on whom he should also marry.

they already have his life planned like that and he didn't even have a word to say about it.

running away was a choice he made, not thinking that he's going to regret it one day.

but, would he really regret running away? so far, he's having the time of his life. he can now get to hang out with both renjun and donghyuck without having to worry about escaping from his house. he can even break the rules without having anyone to scold him tell him not to. he can do whatever he wants and not worry about anyone controlling him and telling him what he should do.

then he got to fell in love with the person who was with him during the time he suffered under his parents' wrath and then met again after having a crazy idea of getting to an all alpha institution. the same person who also gave him the idea of running away without knowing that he'll actually do it just to be free.

this was now the problem, he got too carried away with his freedom that he's not thinking about the consequences at all.

and now, he had done it with the pure blooded. his decision of running away from jeno and jaemin that night just to see jisung had led him to this, being finally claimed by the pure blooded but also having the possibility of getting—

chenle snapped himself out from his thoughts and then pressed a hand gently on his tummy, rubbing it in circles. carrying a life inside him was not part of his plan. he didn't think it would reach to this point. then again, he should have thought of this through, he should have known that he was going to be dealing with a pure blooded alpha in his rut. control wouldn't be an option during that.

not like a life would really be formed, right? jisung only got to knot inside him just once. there's no way something could have happened.

❝anyways, i brought you pills to take.❞ the mother said, eyeing the tray right by the nightstand.

chenle's eyes then widened while looking at her. she knows? is she requiring him to take the pills to prevent a life forming inside him?

❝jisung will come here soon,❞ she scooted closer and placed a hand on the omega's cheek, caressing it softly. ❝he's just talking with his father.❞

puffing his cheeks, chenle looked down after nodding his head.

the woman chuckled and then placed a soft peck on top of the male's head, patting it after and then standing up as she remembered that she still had to make a meal for them. ❝i'll come back up when lunch is ready.❞

chenle's eyes then went over to the nightstand and had his attention on the pills that was given to him. he exactly had no idea what they were really but it's jisung's mother giving it to him. the young pure blooded must have told her about the night they had done it and what he did other than claiming him.

this must be her way of saying that she didn't want her son taking a big responsibility at such an age.

❝oh, you may or you may not drink those.❞ her voice got him back to his senses, the omega just realizing that the mother was still standing there. ❝it's your choice.❞

❝what do you mean baby shower?❞ yukhei had just arrived to the rooftop after his last class and he was surprised to see how well decorated it was. but he was much more surprised to know what this was all about. ❝i thought this was just a party for chenle because you feel like making one!?❞

jeno shrugged, being surrounded by the balloons that he proudly blew. ❝that's also what i thought.❞

clicking his tongue, the alpha walked over to jisung and gripped on to the collar of his uniform. the pure blooded had his eyes widened at yukhei's outrage. ❝don't tell me you got my cousin pregnant. i'm going to—❞

❝didn't you say that baby showers are parties for babies?❞ jisung raised the party cap and made the fuming alpha wear it, chuckling at how hilarious he looked. ❝i'm making a baby shower because he is my baby.❞

plus, chenle hasn't told him any signs of having a life formed yet.

seems like eating a sandwich was the most wrong thing he had to do at that moment, hendery was choking the moment he heard that. ❝damn, what's going on inside that head of yours?❞

jeno watched the scene and instead of helping the younger from choking, he just chuckled. if jaemin would be here, he'd get a smack from the head for laughing at their so-called son instead of helping him. ❝look, you almost made yukhei burst.❞

upon hearing his name being mentioned, the alpha scoffed and faced them with his hands on his hips. ❝how can i not panic when my cousin is still barely finishing his first year here, yet he's going to carry a baby?❞

❝that won't happen,❞ standing up, jeno also feel like getting food from what hendery went out to buy. he first stuffed his face and munched the snacks before continuing, ❝jisung used protection, right?❞

gulping down the non-cheese sandwich, as what hendery would like to call it even though the pure blooded could have sworn he tasted a little bit of cheese, he grabbed a handful of chips and filled his mouth up with it. it is just so he could avoid answering jeno's question. and when all eyes were turned to him, waiting for his answer, he just shrugged and took a bottle of water.

❝you did not!?❞ the other pure blooded exclaimed.

and that made yukhei glare at the youngest of them, fuming once again as he made his way towards the pure blooded that chugging the bottle of water. but before he could do anything to the male, his fist were stopped when the door was suddenly opened slowly.

lightly pushing the older away, earning a groan of annoyance coming from him, excitement could be seen from jisung's eyes as he took the party popper from the ground and got himself positioned right in front of the door, making sure to put distance.

❝ge, i can't see.❞ the omega whined, holding the male's hand that's covering his eyes. ❝i almost stumbled twice back there!❞

xiaojun peeked his head to the side and saw the head of all this plan nodding his head aggressively while the others also went to their places, with one alpha standing there with an deep frown on his face and also having his arms crossed. the beta raised a brow at him, thinking what his problem was, but talking to them would only spoil the surprise.

the clueless omega then huffed, ❝i swear ge, if this is a haunted house we are going to,❞ he told him, hoping that he managed to threaten the older male that has been dragging him around while covering his eyes. ❝we are going to get banned again.❞

everyone who had heard it almost let out a confused sound, turning to jisung who was hushing them but also showed a sheepish smile at them the next second. what did the omega mean by getting banned again?

❝ge—❞ and finally after for what felt like the whole day, the hands covering his eyes began to loosen up. slowly fluttering his eyes open, chenle first started to get used to the sunlight but suddenly flinched when a loud sound was heard.

his mouth was in agape when there were confetti falling down on top of him with different kinds of colors. eyes darting in front of him, he slightly jumped back when the male in front of him started to shout.

clutching his chest, chenle first laid eyes at the people behind him and saw his cousin standing there looking like he was going to murder someone. he wanted to ask something about that but the question that first came out from his mouth was, ❝what is this?❞

xiaojun, that now walked out from behind him, then chuckled and also did the honors to answer him. ❝it's a baby shower just for you.❞

he was actually the only one who was smart enough to know that it's not a literal baby shower for chenle. the beta saw how lost and confused jisung was one time during lunch when they talked about yukhei planning a baby shower, that's going to happen right a round the corner. xiaojun didn't plan to stop the pure blooded alpha from doing what he wanted to do for his boyfriend, he actually thinks that the omega deserved this as he has been looking tired and stressed out these past days.

yukhei glared at the alpha who made a joke, which he didn't find funny at all, and was about to stop all of this but was cut off by the other pure blooded who also think that it was a great idea to joke around just because one is doing it. ❝chenle, i'm betting it on being a boy!❞

shaking from his place, chenle started to have his breaths uneven. ❝i—❞

laughing at how they were messing around, the youngest of them gave the shorter male a peck on the lips before saying something that also went along with their game. ❝i'm also hoping it's a boy, lele.❞

silence invaded the place, with xiaojun not feeling anything as he wasn't part of those who messed around with the poor omega. all he did was bring him here and that's it. although, he would be glad if everything won't get out of hand because he actually think this is going to be a nice party with all the food and also how the rooftop is amazingly decorated.

chuckling nervously, hendery was the first one to break the ice. ❝god, lucas, calm down. we didn't mean to harm chenle with it.❞

❝and plus, there's a possibility that he really is.❞ jeno said, continuing after the alpha's statement. he then turned to the frightened omega, ❝jisung didn't use protection after all.❞

❝jeno.❞ warning the pure blooded with a growl, the younger male then raised both his hands up as if he was surrendering.

clicking his tongue, yukhei eyed the small beta. ❝xiao.❞

and when xiaojun said that, jisung also got to think about it. his attention now went to the shorter male right in front of him and he could see, and sense, how nervous he is. ❝chenle, what did xiaojun mean by that?❞

growling at how terrified his cousin already looked, yukhei didn't dare to hold himself back and approached the two of them. he then gripped on to the pure blooded's wrist and pulled him away from the omega. ❝jisung, stop it.❞

the male didn't ignored what he said and began to look impatient. ❝what did xiaojun mean by—❞

❝nothing is going to happen, okay jisung!?❞ he was being pushed around to say it, being pressured to actually reveal it to the pure blooded alpha that had claimed him as his. fortunately for chenle, he had his cousin right there to hold the younger back from doing anything. ❝i took.. p-pills to stop it from happening.❞

pills? the last time he remembered, he only took it once.

jeno's breathing hitched when he saw the younger pure blooded squirming from yukhei's hold. he can also see how the alpha was having a hard time pulling him back, making him push himself away from the railings and also hold on to jisung's other arm.

❝i have been telling y-you that i d-don't want it to happen.❞ chenle placed a hand over his chest, trying to calm his breathing down. he felt guilty watching jisung being held back by two alphas, with one being a pure blooded. he didn't expect to be able to say it to him in this way.

❝why didn't you tell me?❞ jisung was also holding himself back from lashing out to the older male that's now in the verge of breaking down.

still, he can't help but get mad at how he was keeping all this from him and also that fact that he decided this all on his own without even discussing it with him.

❝if i w-would tell you, you'd get mad. you l-look so happy at the thought of all this that i d-didn't have the heart to break it to you—❞ chenle was in the middle of explaining but jisung suddenly shouted at him that made him wince and shut his eyes tight.

and that caused for chenle to also snap at him. ❝you are just thinking of what you want, jisung. what about me? didn't you ever think of what i would want? if i would like to keep it? you didn't even ask me that! you just went straight to the point and assumed that i would like to keep it.❞

with furrowed brows, the younger stopped squirming in both the alphas' grip and now had his gaze softening on the omega starting to have tears rolling down from his eyes. ❝but i told you, i'm willing to take responsibility.❞

❝well, i'm not! i am not ready for this.❞ sniffling in between his words, chenle raised his hand up and wiped his tears that are falling harshly. by the time he had stopped, he already had his eyes all puffed as he looked at the pure blooded. ❝and if you don't like what i have decided for myself then..❞

both having their gazes locked, the pure blooded could see how conflicted the omega looked. he knew what he was about to say, he didn't want the words to get out of his mouth. shaking his head, the taller male wanted to stop him from saying it.

but the omega looked determined, as if no one can hold him back from saying— ❝let's end this.❞

no, this wasn't what jisung wanted. he was wrong and it didn't get to his head up until now when he was slapped from reality. he then went back to struggling in getting away from their holds as he watched the small figure running away. he growled at the two but they didn't seemed to look fazed by it. ❝chenle!❞

hendery groaned as he had to sacrifice his sandwich and go help the two in holding jisung back from following the omega who needed some time alone. now, it was impossible for the pure blooded to go and catch up to him. all he can do was collapse on to jeno's arms and bury his face down to his shoulder. he was still being hold back by the three, still unable to move.

meanwhile, xiaojun stood there sighing. he observed the rooftop that has been decorated nicely with all the pastel colors before landing his eyes on the table that's filled with food and snacks.

as much as he wanted to run and have a talk with the omega, he knew not to meddle with their business. chenle also looked like he needed space, xiaojun is going to give him that. and plus, they share a room. he's going to bet that he's not going to go far and just bury himself on his pillow, cry all night and contemplate on what he had done. for now, there's one thing he had to worry about aside from the effort put in decorating the plain old rooftop and that is, food.

a frown was then shown on his face, getting a piece of sandwich before munching it in frustration. ❝what a waste.❞

he actually expected to have fun at this small party they have prepared, not hear the two exposing themselves with one running away and the other being held back by three alphas.
