chenle covered his mouth while the two alphas rushed towards the small omega, holding him back from hurting the pure blooded who clearly was taken by surprise from that slap. he wanted to go and check if that slap left a mark but he was still shocked at what happened that he didn't get to move his feet.

❝let go of me!❞ renjun struggled as he squirmed away from the two's hold. he hissed when he couldn't do more, having his blood boiling the moment he saw the pure blooded his friend is with. ❝i said, let go!❞

jeno clicked his tongue, obviously not having this in their plan. they brought the omega with them just to see the two come back, hoping that he won't do anything. but here he is, suddenly slapping the pure blooded out of no where. ❝om—❞

the alpha widened his eyes, darting it to the pure blooded. ❝jeno, no.❞

seeing the three looking like they were about to fight snapped jisung out from his thoughts. that slap made him feel like he was being thrown to another dimension, causing for him to space out for a while.

❝it's okay,❞ he then finally spoke, getting their attention. ❝i deserved it.❞

fortunately for them, there was no one passing by. probably because it's the middle of the day and the other students are probably out there going out or some simply attending classes. whatever or wherever they all are, the five of them were just grateful that it's just them around there. especially both jaemin and jeno, they didn't want any alphas having their eyes lusting down on the omega they have brought with them.

renjun still had his glare at the pure blooded alpha but when he was being freed, he stood there and did nothing more to hurt him. ❝that's all. i just needed to give you one slap.❞

❝renjun ge,❞ chenle then had his soft voice making them turn to him. ❝that's mean.❞ he admitted even though he's his friend.

❝no, it's not okay!❞ they were in this together and if jisung would protect him from anyone, chenle can do that to. he won't allow anyone hurting his alpha and he'd gladly talk back to anyone even if they were his friends because he knows, he knows what kind of person jisung is and he definitely doesn't deserve this kind of treatment.

even renjun was taken aback by how chenle raised his voice at him, which he never usually does.

huffing in annoyance, the younger chinese had already had enough with how his friend treats jisung. this wasn't the first time, there were questionable actions caused by him when he and the pure blooded was still together in the past. donghyuck was alright to handle, he knew his limits and he trusted the pure blooded.

❝you can't just hurt him anytime like that, ge.❞ unlike renjun who is now pressing his buttons to make him act like this.

the smaller omega stood there with his brows furrowed, still standing his ground and not planning to lose to him. also, he's just doing this for his own good. ❝i'm just worried about you and you called that mean? what if he—❞

all of them had their mouths in agape at what chenle had suddenly sprouted out, clearly not knowing this past of renjun that he was now exposing. and even if they didn't know, jisung knew that his omega wad pushing to his boundaries. he could see the smaller chinese was this near to crying just because he mentioned it. ❝chenle, it's time to stop.❞

❝no! renjun ge has to hear this.❞ he clearly had enough with his friend's attitude towards their relationship already. ❝you need to move on, ge! it's already in the past and—❞

actually, he shouldn't have said that. among everyone, chenle should have known never to bring this topic up. he swore, along with donghyuck as they are the only ones who knew and who helped him out of the situation, not to mention a word about this. but here he is, shouting it in front of everyone's face. especially to jaemin and jeno who looked surprised hearing it.

thus, making renjun raise a hand and had it moved on its own to slap the omega right in front of him to stop him from saying another word.

he didn't know what has gotten to him as to why he slapped chenle, why he slapped his friend that he has been worrying about for days. but what he said triggered the memories he didn't and never did he ever want to remember.

fine, he has been lying all along. it's not that he didn't want to be in a relationship, it's not that he wasn't ready to be committed yet, and it's definitely not because he hadn't fallen in love with anyone yet. he had someone, but they weren't still officially together, which explains as to why he claims that he had no boyfriend ever since. renjun actually thought they'd start it slow, which was his cup of tea. that pure blooded alpha he had met in the past, he was sweet. but it's just all an act from the start, just get in his pants and use him for his pleasures.

well, of course he is. renjun hurt his omega and he won't tolerate that even if they are friends. not being able to get a hold of himself, jisung now raised his clenched fist up in the air.

but before he can land it on to the crying omega, he was being harshly pushed away from a growling pure blooded alpha and caused for him to drop renjun back down on the ground.

the way how he was stopped annoyed him, ❝let go of me, jeno. he hurt chenle!❞

glaring eyes being shot right through him made jisung pause from squirming, hearing how the older pure blooded's growl got deeper. ❝and i'm not allowing you to hurt him.❞

chenle had to admit, that slap hurt, but it also snapped him back to his senses. just realizing how stupid he was to bring it up, knowing how sensitive renjun is with it. with his breathing getting heavier, the younger chinese turned to look at his friend back again with apologetic eyes. ❝ge, i-i'm sorry. i didn't m-mean to.❞

a bitter chuckle escaped from renjun's mouth that had his sobs pushed at the back of his throat. ❝you know what? you're right. jisung is not like him.❞ he then mustered up a smile, a broken one. ❝i guess i'm the unlucky one then.❞

no, that's not what he wanted to say. this wasn't what chenle wanted for renjun to realize. ❝it's not like that—❞

renjun's eyes then trailed at the visible mark by his friend's neck, having it show as his hoodie failed to cover it. this angered him more upon finding out that jisung marked his bestfriend and claimed him as his without asking his permission. he was about to lash out about it but then he remembered, it's chenle's life and not his.

❝the gods must have hated me this much.❞ again with that chuckle of his, being forced out and hurting the younger chinese in so many ways. ❝take care of your alpha, hm? i'm sorry if i ever meddled with your business.❞ biting his bottom lip, renjun first took a deep breath before speaking again. ❝i'm sorry for caring.❞

and with that, the omega started to run away.

jaemin wanted to catch up with renjun but he saw how the two pure blooded alphas were literally about to start a fight with each other, in behalf of the omegas they are protecting. he guessed he had to stop the two of them first before it gets bloody. and then maybe, he'll go and catch up to the runaway omega and talk things out with him.

and while he was at it in calming the two pure blooded alphas down, renjun ran away from them and brought his feet to god knows where.

renjun had no idea where on earth he was heading to but what he does know and planned to do was to get away from them, far away. he couldn't bear to know what they would start to think of him, a stained omega? a useless one? a toy? all those hurt him. he had to get away, anywhere just far from them. far from jeno and jaemin.

as he was already at a distance that can't be reached, his phone then started to ring. he had no plans of answering it, thinking that it would be either of them calling him and asking where he is. but as he soon picked up his phone, it was donghyuck.

this started to make him worry. that omega doesn't really call him unless something happens, or if he had something urgent to tell.

first composing himself down, renjun closed his eyes after wiping his tears. he then swiped the call and placed his phone on his ear, clearing his throat as not to sound like he has been crying. ❝hyuck?❞

unanswered calls, messages not replied nor being seen, chenle laid there on his bed as he attempted to call renjun once again. it probably is the fiftieth— actually, he lost count already.

a whole day had passed already and renjun isn't talking to him. he tried to call donghyuck, which he answered, but he was giving him the cold treatment with short phrases or just a word or two as his replies. chenle had no idea what was going on with them and he was starting to grow worried. he wanted to go out and visit them but he still had a lot to catch up here.

not to mention having a tiring day taking make up tests and other activities with jisung as they were gone for days.

sleep, that's what he wanted to do right now. he wanted a good and proper sleep, but he can't. he was exhausted. he also didn't get sleep the night after he argued with renjun. he didn't mean to hit a sensitive spot, neither did he want for him to remember his past. he was just upset at the way he looks and treats his boyfriend as if he doesn't trust him at all.

❝the more you think about it,❞ a voice was then heard coming from the door. ❝the more it'll bother you till you can't sleep.❞

chenle didn't know if he should be relieved or not feeling anything at all the moment he saw him standing there by the door frame with his arms crossed. he wasn't even going to ask as to how the door was unlocked, xiaojun probably forgot to lock it. ❝ji, what are you doing here?❞

closing the door carefully and making sure to lock it, jisung approached the omega with a small smile on his face. ❝i can smell your distress from another room.❞ he said while scanning his eyes around the place. ❝where's xiaojun hyung?❞

❝he's out with hendery ge.❞ chenle told him while scooting away and giving space for jisung to lay down right next to him.

his roommate had also noticed the way how he was acting. it honestly made chenle feel bad at how he got xiaojun getting worried for him all the time. yet, he can't even tell him the reason as to why. he just ends up reassuring him that he'll be fine and this will just pass by.

finally having a comfortable position laying down with his omega's back facing at him, jisung stretched out his arms and gently wrapped it around the smaller's waist. ❝that also explains as to why jaemin hyung is inside our room right now.❞

speaking of jaemin, ❝how are they, ji?❞ chenle asked out of curiosity and worry.

right, that's probably what they need. they just need space. heaving out a sigh, chenle ended another unanswered call and decided to turn his phone off. he then hummed in satisfaction when the pure blooded kept on caressing his tummy, finding it relaxing and also put his mind to ease.

noticing the older's distress scent fading out then put a smile on jisung's face, making him snuggle close to the omega till he was this near the other's ear. ❝don't stress yourself too much, it's not good for the baby.❞

that statement caused for chenle to turn bright red and didn't waste a second to elbow the laughing pure blooded alpha by his stomach. ❝nothing is formed yet, don't say that.❞

although, it'll really worry him if it will happen.

chuckling, jisung went back to rubbing his tummy and placing soft kisses on to his neck to compose his lover down. ❝i'm going to be the best father. i'll spoil the kid, take him out and play at the park, buy everything he wants, teach the kid how to fight—❞

❝fight?❞ chenle snorted. but the smile on his face disappeared as soon as countless of possibilities came rushing to his head. ❝jisung, you're not going to leave me, are you?❞

❝what kind of question is that?❞ scoffing, the pure blooded carefully turned the smaller figure around so the two of them are going to face each other. he wanted for the omega to know how much he meant each word he says. ❝chenle, never. i love you and i'm going to take care of you. no matter what happens, i'll always n be right here for you.❞

❝for as long as i live.❞ jisung leaned forward and gave him a kiss on the lips before he says something irrational. ❝i want you, i need you, because i love you.❞ he then told him, reassuring him in that way. ❝i will never leave you, chenle.❞

the frown on the older's face deepened, not having his head properly settled with all of the negative thoughts. closing his eyes, he then brought his hands up and cupped the younger's face. having their forehead to touch, chenle managed to say, ❝i want you, i need you, and that's also because i love you too.❞

that caused for a genuine smile to show on the pure blooded's face, pulling the smaller male closer if possible even with their chest already glued to each other. seeing the omega closing his eyes, jisung went on to give a affectionate kiss on top of his forehead. ❝let's go to sleep, hm? we still have a long day tomorrow.❞

chenle nodded his head. ❝sleep well. night.❞

for sure, he'd finally get a proper sleep with his pure blooded alpha beside him.

but the omega had his brows furrowed when jisung shifted his body and lowered down till he came face to face with his tummy, making chenle open his eyes to see what he was doing.

with a bright smile on his face, the pure blooded leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on the older's clothed tummy. ❝good night baby.❞

heat then rushed to chenle's cheeks, blushing madly as he couldn't handle the younger male. ❝jisung!❞

going back to his position right next to the blushing omega, jisung booped the older's nose with a giggle. ❝what? gotta be prepared.❞
