(y/n) - your name
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Harry?" (y/n) answers the phone that rang, hearing her friend's voice on the other end. "How are you-"
"-are you ok?" she was confused as to why he asked that.
"I am... why what happened?"
"Thank god. No, it's just that there was a dementor attack. Dudley got caught in the middle and I had to use my magic..."
"Shit! Are you ok!? Did it get you!?" the girl stood up straight, pacing with her phone in worry.
Harry nods curtly, looking around the stale and musty old house. "For now... I got expelled from Hogwarts... there's a hearing summoning to the ministry-"
"-they can't do that! That's bullshit! You were defending yourself!" (y/n) exclaims, absolutely pissed off. She wished she was there to help him so he didn't have to go through this.
"I'm ok now (y/n), I promise. I just needed to make sure dementors didn't end up at your home either."
Right, he still doesn't know about my living arrangements.
"Dementors have apparently been let loose in the world where they're not supposed to be."
"I'm alright here. There haven't been any sightings."
"That's good." Harry sighed in relief, ruffling his hair as he sat on the bed. "Sirius is actually asking if you can come over here."
"Where? What for?"
"He didn't say exactly but if you can't make it-"
"-tell me the address." (y/n) didn't hesitate, quickly summoning a pen and paper to write down the address.
Where the hell is this Number Twelve Grimmauld Place, London?
"I can ask Tonks or Moddy to come get you-"
"-no it's ok. It'll be safer if I go alone." Harry frowned at his friends words, worried for her but knew she wouldn't budge from her decision.
"Ok, just stay safe (y/n)."
"I'll see you soon Harry." the phone call ends and she sets her phone down.
Just need to find this place on the map from where I am...
Should I tell Draco?
(y/n) quickly writes up a letter for her boyfriend, noting down how she won't be able to talk for a couple of days. She didn't know if the issue with Harry and Sirius was serious and if she needed to keep it a secret, so she decided not to mention anything in the letter just in case. All she wrote was that she will send him another letter when she can. Calling him was still not an option, especially not now when his father was home.
"Hey buba." she walks up to Loki who yawns when she lifts the blanket over his cage, his eyes blinking separately as he ruffled his feathers. "Sleep well Loki?" the owl chirps lightly, jumping on his pedestal happily when the cage door opens. "I have a job for you." the happy owl quickly huffs and turns away. "Oh come on. I need to get my letter to Draco." Loki flies out of the cage and lands on (y/n)'s phone, stomping his little feet on it. "I can't call him. His dad is home."
Did this damn bird just roll his eyes at me!?
(y/n) crosses her arms at Loki's attitude, grinning when an idea comes to her head. "What about for a treat?" her owl looks away from her, not interested. "Two treats?" still nothing. "Fine, a handful. I shouldn't be feeding you this shit other than your feed." Loki coos happily and flies onto his companion's bed as she summons a handful of owl treats, setting the pile in front of him so he could eat it while she pets him gently. "I mentioned in the letter if you could stay with Draco. I won't be home for you. Harry got in trouble and asked me to go to him. Some secret mission maybe." the owl nods, standing straight like he was ready for his own little mission. "Be safe buba and I'll see you soon." (y/n) kisses her birds head as he nibbles against her nose lightly, crooning against her face before biting down on the letter.
She opens the door and lets him fly out, grabbing her map to draw where she was to the address Harry gave her before turning invisible. She closes the door behind her as it disappears and she jumps up to fly out of the empty Hogwarts castle.
~~~~~~~~
(y/n) flew around in the cold London air, souring over the bridge and the boats as she skimmed over the sea. She turned into the streets and weaved past buildings, maneuvering past people as winds rushed by them which made them confused. The girl looked at her map as she travelled down the streets, ending up at the building but she couldn't find Number Twelve. There was only Number Eleven and Thirteen.
"What the hell do I do now?" (y/n) looks down at the paper after shaking her powers off, remembering what else she had written as instructions from Harry. "Read this out loud, 'The Headquarters of the Order of the Pheonix may be found at Number Twelve Grimmauld Place, London'. Ok, then what-" the girl stumbles as the ground shook heavily beneath her feet, looking up in shock as the building in front of her suddenly started to move and shake. It rumbles loudly but it was like no one noticed or could feel what was going on as the building split apart to reveal another apartment building taking up the gap in between. The windows appear and sink in, that balcony shoots out and finally, the door appears.
(y/n) walks up to the gate and moves it, closing it behind her before walking up the steps to the door to knock on it. "(y/n)!?" Ron's mother appears when she opens the door, quickly ushering the girl inside to lock the door behind her.
"Sorry for disturbing you but-"
"-thank Merlin you're ok! The boys and Ginny told me what happened at the Tri-Wizard Competition!" Molly holds the girl's face in her hands, inspecting the girl to make sure she was ok. "Are you alright? Are you in any pain? Anything hurting? I can cook something for you-"
"-I'm ok, really. I spent the entire holiday just resting really." (y/n) convinces Molly that she was ok and that she didn't need anything, the older woman directing the younger one to go up the stairs to find her friends. The girl heads up the stairs, hearing her friend's voices becoming clearer and clearer the closer she got until she stood in front of the bedroom door. She suddenly felt very nervous, worried even.
She did leave with Draco without saying goodbye to anyone. They both left weeks early from Hogwarts together.
She didn't bother saying goodbye to her friends either, all she wanted to do was leave. To be honest was probably a bad choice since all her friends thought she was dead until Draco had to call them and let them know she was alive and well.
Before (y/n) could do anything, the door opens and Hermione gasps when she sees her best friend standing in front of her. "Hey, Hermione..."
"(y/n)!" she jumps on her quickly and hugs her so tight, the Hufflepuff gasping for air from the sudden strength. "Thank Merlin you're ok! You just left and didn't say anything after the competition! We all were so scared! I cried for you goddamnit! Why did I have to hear from Malfoy that you were alive again!? Which of course I'm glad but you could've just told me yourself! I thought you were gone (y/n)! You were just laying there on the ground and-" (y/n) hugs Hermione tightly when she burst into tears, remembering how she thought her friend died as she just laid there in front of her at the maze.
"I'm sorry Hermione, really. I just had to leave... I needed to rest." It was so hard for the Hufflepuff to explain her sudden distraught and fear of her powers, remembering the nightmares she would get over and over again of her past alternate memories and the ones of what happened at the graveyard. She couldn't tell them about the visions she would get or the rapid flashes of pain she would get on her back.
They wouldn't get it...
Draco wouldn't get it...
I can't burden them with my problems...
"I'm so glad you're here (y/n). Seriously." Hermione whispers as she steps back, wiping her eyes.
"Same here (y/n). Everyone thought that you..." Ron gulps, rubbing the back of his neck as he thought back to the competition.
"We're all glad you're back with us. I don't know what we would do without you." Harry says with a smile, pulling (y/n) further into the room and setting her down on the bed as Hermione shuts the door.
"I'm sorry for not telling you I was ok. Everything became too much and I just needed time."
"We get it. Even though I hate the guy with everything I have, Malfoy explained everything and how he was taking care of you until you went back home." Ron explains.
Draco lied for me?
(y/n) smiles warmly, thinking about her boyfriend but shakes her head to focus on her friends. "Tell me everything. What's going on here? What is this place?"
"It's headquarters." Ron says with excitement.
"Of the Order of the Pheonix." Hermione says.
"Oh! Is that what this note was all about then." (y/n) holds up the note she wrote down the address and Hermione and Ron both panic.
"Get rid of it!" the Hufflepuff sets the paper on fire by accident from the sudden yelling, smoke wafting up to the ceiling. "Well that's one way to do that..."
"Anyway, the Order is a secret society. Dumbledore formed it back when they fought You-Know-Who." Hermione explains and (y/n) notices the pissed off look on Harry's face.
"Harry, what's up?"
"They've been here the entire break. They knew about the Order the entire time."
"Wait what?"
"They kept us in the dark the entire time this break. Didn't even bother telling us any scrap of news!"
"We wanted to write. We really did." Ron says with guilt.
"Dumbledore made us swear not to tell you anything..." Hermione frowns as her friends glare at her.
"We could've helped-"
"-we were the ones that saw Voldemort return! Fought him off!" (y/n) cuts Harry off, growing frustrated and annoyed. "I was the one to protect Cedric, the one to keep Harry safe because that was my job!" she snapped back but in confusion at the last few words, panting heavily as she was quickly pulled back to her memories of when Crouch junior was torturing her.
She gasped as her vision darkened, feeling the burst of pain from the curse and losing herself to her powers. It was suddenly getting hard to breathe for her as she lost feeling in her back, clutching her shirt tightly as the voices of her friends warbled and spun around her. She was terrified of exposing her powers to them even though they knew about it, still terrified of them being afraid of her and she struggled to hold back on the streaks that started to crack across her arms.
