(y/n) - your name

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I think they're calling out the champions right now." (y/n) hums out as Draco nods slightly behind her, the two sitting on a beanbag up in the astronomy tower instead of joining the rest of the students in the Great Hall.

The Slytherin pulls the Hufflepuff closer, holding her tight as his arms were wrapped around her waist and burying his nose in her hair. There was no way he was going to let her go and she didn't object, leaning into his arms further as she rests her head back against his shoulder. The two snuggled together underneath the blanket draped over them, the platinum blonde-haired boy squeezing his Puff's hands entwined with his that were crossed around her.

"Who do you think got picked?" Draco mumbles out against (y/n)'s shoulder, his lips pressed against the skin that makes the girl in his arms shudder lightly as she sat on his lap.

"Krum? Maybe Cedric... Fleur?" the Slytherin hums in response, taking in the sweet honey and scent of flowers from his Puff's hair before she turns around to lay her side against his chest.

She croons under his chin, closing her eyes from the warmth that slowly lulls her to sleep against him. His hands pull her up closer, wrapping around her and resting on her knee. He couldn't help the overwhelming feeling of satisfaction and happiness seeing his Puff lay with him like this, to have her all to himself without worrying about someone else taking her. She just fits so well against him, his own eyes drooping from her warmth.

"Who do you think might get picked?" (y/n) asks as she nuzzles her face into Draco's chest, breathing heavily as one of his hands run over her thighs above her track pants.

"I think those three would be picked... who do you think might win?"

"Krum for sure. Those Durstrang boys are tougher than Hogwarts." the Hufflepuff snickers at Slytherins offended gasp." Sorry, that's just my opinion really."

"You're saying I'm not tough?"

"You do scream like a girl so..."

"You little-" the kids jump when they hear a loud yell, sitting up quickly when they hear Dumbledore's voice echo around the castle.

"HARRY, DID YOU PUT YOUR NAME INTO THE GOBLET OF FIRE!?"

"Potter did what now!?"

"No way he didn't!? How!? He's not 17!?" (y/n) gasps, flying up from the beanbag and settling on her feet in front of it as Draco struggled to get up from the beanbag. "You wanna go sneak on the professors?" the boy smirks, taking hold of his Puff's hand as she cloaks them from view before they fly through the castle in search of the professors. "Shit-" the girl gasps as she quickly divets left to avoid hitting Snape, going through the door and the kids quickly fly up onto the corner of the room when he walks into it.

"Who's there!? I know you're here. Come out already." Snape hisses out, the kids staying quiet as long as they can until he leaves in a hushed huff.

"That was close..." (y/n) whispers, slowly floating her and Draco back down but she accidentally trips over a forgotten book, falling backwards.

"(y/n) shit-" the Slytherin couldn't catch her before she fell over the age line around the blue fiery goblet, the kids freezing in worry that the Hufflepuff was going to be thrown across the room like it did to the twins. "(y/n)..." Draco mumbles out in confusion as she simply stands up within the white circle, the blue flames circling around her but not hurting her. The boy couldn't wrap his mind over how the girl in front of him was able to pass through the age line without any trouble, stepping back in shock. (y/n) couldn't believe what was happening, looking around in confusion and shock that she wasn't hurt. "You said you might be our age... how...?"

"I... I don't know. I'm 17...? or maybe older but I look like a child..." she mumbles out, the kids gasping as the blue flames suddenly spun around the Hufflepuff, wind picking up around her and blowing hard as the flames grew larger. "Draco... what's happening!?"

"I... I don't know!" he takes a step back in fear seeing the flames wrap around (y/n) and he takes out his wand, trying to figure out how to help her. The girl panics as the world around her was just blue flames, spinning around her faster as it slowly turned green. She groans out as her head pounds in pain, images flashing through her head and she hisses out in pain. "(y/n)!" Draco calls out when he hears her in pain, taking a step forward but the flames block him off, his body shaking as he tried to control his tears. He had to help her but he couldn't get anyone!

"Make it stop!" she cries out, falling to her knees as the images flashed faster through her head, the green flames turning gold then to orange and then to red. "Stop!" she growls out, slamming her hands against the floor and the flames burst out, a fiery hot that made the Slytherin boy quickly run back to avoid being burned alive.

Draco watched with wide eyes as the flames drew back into (y/n), growing large behind her back like large wings that fanned out across the entire span of the room. The wings burned darker and darker, flashing white but it burned and grew black like ink seeping through the wings until they were completely black. The ink crawled over the Hufflepuff's back and she howled out in pain, like a demon wailing as the ink crawled up her face.

Her eyes darkened over, claws growing out from her fingertips until the flames returned back to their natural red and it all just disappeared in a flash. (y/n) breathes out heavily, tears dripping down her cheek from the pain as the red flames turned back to their bright blue. It retreated back to the goblet without so much as a fuss or an explosive blast. She looks up and her heart broke seeing the fear in Draco's eyes, the way his wand was pointing at her and she welled up with tears.

I'm a monster...

(y/n) waved her hand to turn herself invisible, flying away before the Slytherin could stop her. He wasn't pointing the wand at her, he never wanted to hurt her but his body just froze after seeing what happened. He wanted to help her, he really did but he was just... scared...

Of her? Maybe.

"(y/n)? Are you ok?" the girl heard her prefect call for her from the other side of the dorm room, a worried tone in her voice.

"Sick..." the Hufflepuff coughs out dramatically and the prefect sighs, retreating away before going down to the common room door and walking out to greet the 3 fourth years that were waiting for a response.

"Well?" Hermione asks, worried for her friend since she hasn't seen her friend for a couple days now. The teachers were worried but they were ok with the girl having a break since she was handing in all the work months in advance.

"She says she's sick." Hermione frowns at the Hufflepuff's prefects words, looking at Ron and Harry who weren't talking but are still worried about their Hufflepuff friend.

"Thank you." the Gryffindor girl says, before walking away and the boys quickly trail after her. "I don't think she's sick, I think something happened?"

"But the prefect said shes sick?" Ron says.

"I don't think so-do you know if anything happened? Have you guys seen anything? Heard anything? When was the last time we saw (y/n)?"

"The night of the tri-wizard champion names." the golden trio say at the same time and Hermione gasps.

"Draco and (y/n) weren't there-"

"-if Malfoy hurt her, I'm going to curse him into the next bloody world!" Harry hisses out, unaware of the said boy slinking around the corner as he heard every word. He sighs out softly, guilt running through as he remembered the sobs (y/n) let out when she flew away. He tried to run after her but Snape caught him and dragged him straight to the Slytherin common room.

"I hate to say this but we need to ask him what happened-"

"-like that's going to happen cause some of us have to get ready for the trials." Ron rolls his eyes sarcastically and Harry just sighs in defeat.

The two boys had been fighting ever since Harry's name got called as one of the tri-wizard champions, the whole school shunning him and now even his friend. But he had nothing to do with this, why couldn't anyone understand this? Why was it so hard to believe he didn't do any of this? Harry just hoped he didn't lose his friendship with (y/n) and he didn't, the girl hoping he was ok when she heard how her own fellow housemates talked shit about him.

She hated how they badmouthed him behind his back while she lay in her bed, fake sleeping beneath the covers as she held back her sniffles. She wanted to go and comfort him but she couldn't face him, couldn't face any of her friends. (y/n) didn't want them looking at her the same way Draco did, the way she was the monster she was. She closed her eyes, crying into her pillow while a Slytherin boy hovered over her window on his broom and broke down from her crying.
