"You've got to be kidding me..." Hermione watches as Draco walked past the Hufflepuff table but stops at where (y/n) was sitting, whispering something to her and setting down a cup of tea for her before walking away while the girl flushed happily at the tea. "This has been happening the past couple weeks and she still says that nothing is going on between them."
"Don't forget how he takes the seat next to her or behind her in class whenever he can-" Harry says.
"-or how he gives her food when she skips a meal." Ron says after.
"And the two sneaking away every break to the Black Lake together." Hermione adds.
"How is it that we're the only ones who notice?" Harry asks, pointing at the way Draco was looking at (y/n). "I mean he's attached to her when they walk in the hallways between classes-"
"-oh my god, not only that but he's been picking her up and dropping her off at her classes!"
"No way!" Ron and Harry exclaim at what Hermione told them. The girl noticed the way Harry frowned as he looked at (y/n), a sinking feeling telling her to keep how the platinum blonde-haired boy snuck secret kisses on their friend's cheek to herself. She could sense his heart break when he realised that the Hufflepuff wouldn't return his feelings for her.
The girl was observant and she knew best when to keep things to herself. "Do you think... they like each other...?" Harry asks, his friends shrugging.
"I think they do but they are probably too oblivious to realise it." Ron says.
"Let's finish up and head to sleep." Hermione suggests, the golden trip heading to their common room and missing (y/n) sneaking up to the astrology tower as Draco had asked her. She waited for a while and decided to play some music to ease her boredom as she watched the night sky, bopping her head to the rhythm.
"Oh, you're a loaded gun, yeah. Oh, there's nowhere to run"
"No one can save me, the damage is done."
The girl rocks out to the music while headbanging, getting up to dance and sing to the lyrics unknowing of a surprised platinum blonde-haired boy watching with amusement on his lips.
"Shot through the heart, and you're to blame"
"You give love a bad name"
"I play my part and you play your game"
"You give love a bad name"
"Hey, you give love, a bad name"
Draco's face turned red when he realised that (y/n) was wearing a simple pink nightgown, her hair flying around her as she sang with a mic in her hand. There was something about the soft pastel pink colour that made him go crazy, made her look so soft to him that he just wanted all of her to himself. She looked so innocent and sweet in that colour, contrasting against his dark and silver clothes. Oh, he absolutely loved the way that colour looked on her, especially the way the same colour dusted her very cheeks when she saw him standing by the top of the rickety metal stairs.
"How much of that did you see?" she breathes out, eyes wide and internally dying of embarrassment as the boy in front of her chuckled lightly.
"Shot through the heart, and you're to blame. You give love a bad name." Draco mimicked the way (y/n) acted out being shot in the heart, pointing to her like he was blaming her but these were just her dance moves.
"Oh for fucks sake!" she runs her hands down her face, sitting down on the bench as she groans out. "That's the second time... that's it, I'm not doing anything like that up here."
"I thought it was adorable. You were really into the song." the Slytherin mocks her lightheartedly, sitting down next to the Hufflepuff on the bench. "You're wearing a nightgown..." he mentions, picking at the thin fabric and she smacks his hand away. "You normally wear hoodies."
"It's hot alright. It gets stuffy in the common room since we're underground in a burrow." Draco hums out, distracted by the floral scent that drifted around him as he shifted closer to (y/n). "So what did you call me up here for?"
"I thought it's just been a while since we've been up at the tower." she nods, looking up at the sky as the stars twinkle.
"The stars look nice tonight..." she whispers out and the Slytherin boy looks up at the sky, easily recognising the constellations.
"If you look there, there's a constellation... the Big Dipper."
"What, where?" the Hufflepuff asks and he holds her jaw while resting his chin on her shoulder to turn her head at where he was looking, hold her hand in his to point up at the sky. (y/n) almost combusted from how close Draco was, smelling his expensive cologne but focused her eyes on the stars to find the constellation. "I think I see it..." she gasps, seeing the constellation while the boy sitting next to her looked up at her. He ran his hand down her arm to drop it on the bench, seeing the goosebumps rise on her skin and he smirks seeing how she reacted to his touch. "I didn't know you knew how to find the constellations." (y/n) says, turning to look at Draco but hitching lightly when his face was so close to hers. She could feel his other hand holding hers around her on the bench, looking up at him with a racing heart as he just admired her.
"I actually enjoy Astronomy and astrology. It's not something. I tell everyone... only those I trust..."
"And I'm one of those people?" he nods, seeing the way the stars shone in her eyes and he enjoyed seeing them in her gaze than in the sky. "Draco...?" fuck he loved the way she whispered his name, sending shivers down his spine and he closes his eyes while leaning his forehead on her shoulder. (y/n) was confused and worried, reaching up to pet Draco's head thinking that something was wrong which there was and he was fighting himself internally trying to understand what he was feeling. "What's wrong?" she asked, running her fingers through his hair and he lets out a heavy sigh from how good that felt.
"I think we should head back before we're caught..." the Hufflepuff nods, letting the Slytherin quickly stands up and hold her hand tightly as they walked down the steps back to the dungeon's corridor. She made sure to keep them hidden from sight with her powers before they split up and snuck into their dorm rooms. That night, both kids couldn't sleep that night as they had the other on their minds.

"You look dead." Harry points out as (y/n) walked into the Charms class looking exhausted, and she was thankful it was the last class for the day.
"Yeah, cause I might be..." she yawns out, slumping in her seat in the far back behind the rest of the students so she could get some sleep while Flitwick wasn't looking.
"Couldn't sleep?" Hermione asks, knowing damn well that her friend hadn't been sleeping well the last couple days with her dozing off between classes or her dark bags growing beneath her eyes. She wasn't the only one who looked terrible, Draco soon walked in with a sneer on his face and bags under his eyes too while he tiredly straightened out his hair and clothes to still try to look presentable.
The two of them have been having sleepless nights thinking of each other, trying to figure out what they were feeling for the other friend and why. Not to mention the somewhat distance the two had with each other, something Draco didn't like as he looked up at (y/n) when he sat in his seat. Her head was resting in her arms on the table, a frown on his face and he decided to just talk to her or do something.
"They look bloody disastrous..." Ron whispers, looking at the two who scowled at anyone and anything that ticked them off. "Also two peas in a pod those two are..." Both Draco and (y/n) snapped at Seamus as he was talking too loudly, scaring the poor boy and making him simper in his seat under that two pairs of heated glares.
"Let's uh... not bother them both. They've been like this all day and you never know when they might just explode..." Hermione whispers, the class greeting the professor once he arrived into the classroom.
The charms classes had begun to teach the students summoning charms such as Accio and they were practising summoning items in front of them. While most students struggled, (y/n) easily used her powers instead of her witch magic to bring a pillow and a blanket. She pretended to have cast the spell with her wand so she could fool Flitwick, draping the blanket over her and laying her head on the pillow.
"I can't believe this! She's asleep!?" Ron whispers in shock, the golden trio quickly looking away and practising casting the spell when they hear Draco grumbling under his breath angrily. He couldn't summon anything with his tired brain and (y/n) summoned a blanket and pillow for him too since she was getting annoyed by his angry grunts.
"Ah, well-done miss (l/n) and Mr. Malloy, you both may leave early as you have perfected the spell!" Flitwick awards them, and the students walk out of the class together. (Y/n) was going to go to her dorm but Draco suddenly grabbed her arm and pulled her away.
"Oi!? What gives!?" She hisses at him, trying to wring her hands free but the Slytherin took her into the library and to the hidden back shelves where their beanbag was.
"Can't sleep..." he says as he drops onto the furniture, looking up at the Hufflepuff who contemplated going to her bed or laying in the platinum blonde-haired boy's arms.
Before she made a choice, he made one for her, pulling her to lay next to him on the beanbag and he relishes in the blissful sigh she lets out as she lays her head on his shoulder. Draco wrapped his arm around (y/n)'s shoulder, letting her curl into him under his chin as she drapes a blanket over the two of them. His aching chest and pounding head eases when he smelt the honey from her hair, closing his eyes in bliss and sleeping with her in his arms.
