The Hogwarts express train steamed down the tracks, chuffing loudly as the sun began to descend. Hermione was reading the paper, (y/n) reading a book while Ron and Harry tried to cram in some last-minute homework they needed to do when a lady's voice called out from outside the compartment.(y/n) waved her hand to open the compartment door for the boys with her powers without looking up from her book, not realising that Draco's goons had done the same and Draco could look into her compartment.

His friends were too busy choosing candy to buy from the lady while he sat in his corner with a book and a pencil. He glanced at (y/n), at how she had one of her feet up on the railing next to her. She was too busy reading her book to notice he had started drawing her. The way she was drawn into the story, her hands holding her book close to her while she leaned her head against the train, the way the few rays of sun escaping through the clouds lit up her face and made her doe eyes sparkle and made her hair shimmer.

Draco smiled with warmth, drawing her in his journal as his pencil quickly flew across the page to capture her features before the doors closed. He spent the entire ride train ride drawing her smile, her eyes, her fingers playing with her hair or her necklace.

(Y/n) looked up from her book to see Ron sulking since he didn't have enough money for the sweets he wanted and she reaches her palm out to him as her powers popped red with a ball of light, her palm filled with sweets and he looked at her happily. "Really!?" He gasps, taking the sweets happily.

"You shouldn't be taking sweets like that (y/n), not without paying." Hermione sighs out as the girl just chuckles at her disappointment.

"Don't worry, I left some money." Fake money of course. If she started taking coins from the bank, the goblins are going to issue an investigation and it would be mayhem.

"This is horrible, how can the ministry not know who conjured it? Isn't there any security or...?" Everyone turns to see Hermione shaking her head darkly behind the Prophet's screaming front page, snapping the paper shut.

"Loads according to Dad, that's what worried them so much. Happened right under their noses." Ron replies back with his mouth full of sweets and (y/n) grimaces as he smacks his lips.

"Is your scare hurting again?" she asks Harry when she sees him rubbing his head.

"I'm fine..."

"Sure you are." she raises a brow at him.

"You know Sirius will want to hear about this. What you saw at the world cup, and the dream." Hermione tells Harry and he sighs, moving to grab a letter and a quill to write his letter to Sirius. Once he was finished, he folded the letter up and slipped it into the envelope, sealing it and passing it to Hedwig so he could deliver it.

"I'm finally back!" (y/n) exclaims happily as she throws her hands in the air happily, walking past the castle doors to be greeted by the warm building that glowed with the illuminating fires.

She walked past Draco who was with his friends, his attention soon quickly caught by the scent of honey and flowers and he turns his head to look at her as she talked with Hermione. He leaned his head against the wall, a soft smile on his face seeing her bright smile as she brushed her hair back that had grown much longer now. He noticed that there was new colour in her hair, a dyed soft honeycomb brown highlighted in her dark hair that made her doe eyes brighter and his heart swooned for her.

She's so beautiful...

The students all suddenly chatter loudly and rush out to the castle bridge, Hermione dragging (y/n) with her outside to see what was going on. "Holy shit! Are those pegasi!?" she gasps as she sees a hoard of them flying through the air and carrying a carriage behind them, Hagrid guiding the pegasi where to land safely. Her eyes widen when she saw a ship suddenly burst up from the sea, jumping out onto the surface in all its tall extravagance. Everyone around her was in awe, pushing and shoving and she tsks in annoyance, her leg aching as she was shoved through to the back. "It had to be the same leg where I got Ron's wound..." she hisses lowly, sitting on a ledge to rub her ankle and lifting up the cargo pants to check on her foot. She gritted her teeth seeing a crack on her heel where it broke at the world cup, another crack fissuring where she had taken on Ron's wound on her body.

"Are you ok?" she gasps and quickly drops the sleeves, looking up to see Draco standing in front of her with worry in his eyes. "Does your leg still hurt?" his words were warbled as she was in a trance looking at him in his black suit. He was gorgeous as ever, his fluffy platinum hair swept to the side, that avant-garde black suit clinging to his body in all the right places making his grey eyes seem darker and stormier than usual. "(y/n)?" he asks again and she blinks, breaking out of admiring him and turning away her head to hide her flustered self. Draco caught onto this quickly when she was staring at him, a smirk growing on his face and seeing her cheeks turn pink.

"I'm ok, just got hit with some random pain is all." he remind raced with worry about the cracks, summoning some bandages in her hands to cover them up. She pockets them as she stands up carefully, gently putting weight on her cracked foot. Draco immediately put his arms around her as she hisses in pain but settles back comfortably after. "I don't think I can run for a while..."

"Let me take you to the dungeons." he offers (y/n), his arm raised for her to hold and she smiles sheepishly as she links her arm with his, walking away from the students on the bridge. "You're not wearing your glasses."

"Yeah, I couldn't get a new prescription. I can still see, it's just things in the distance are blurry." Draco nods as he leads (y/n) to the dungeons, carefully walking with her when she snapped her fingers with a spark of her red powers. "I sent our belongings to our dorms." she grins up at him and he chuckles at that. They arrived at the dungeons in no time, moving to part ways but the Slytherin quickly pulled the Hufflepuff back to him.

"I... I actually have something for you." he pulls out two cases from his pockets, handing them to the girl in front of him as she takes them with a look of surprise when she recognised the cases.

"You got me new glasses?" (y/n) gasps out, opening the first black case to see black framed glasses sitting in its pouch, opening the other black case to see green and silver framed glasses sitting in its pouch.

"I took your broken ones and gave them to my mother and asked her to go to the muggle spectacle shops for your new prescription as you said." Draco says as he watches her try on the black frames first, smiling as she looked around.

"You asked your mother? She knows about me?" his cheeks turn pink, nodding.

"I...I told her about you. She was happy to hear that I had friends at school. She was especially excited to hear about our Christmas together and what you did for me."

"Draco..."

"That reminds me, she asked me if you would like to stay for Christmas this year."

"Wait, really!?" (y/n) looks at Draco in surprise and he nods, not a lie spoken in his words and he waited anxiously for a positive answer. "I... I would love to... if it's no problem with you. I don't want to get you in trouble with your dad or-"

"-he won't be around during Christmas. You'll be safe, I'll make sure you stay safe." he raises his hand to brush her hair back softly, his fingers caressing her warm cheeks. She was so warm and soft against his cold hands and he just wanted to hug her, to wrap around her and hold her for hours.

The doors to the dungeons suddenly open and the two students quickly jump away from each other, (y/n) summoning her book behind her back as reflex to use it as a way to look busy as she started to walk away from Draco. She looks up at him as his friends come up to him, his eyes staring at her and she waves her glasses cases at him while mouthing some words to him that he easily understood.

Thank you.

The students all rushed into their dorms to change into their uniforms, (y/n) grabbing her uniform and went into a cubicle to change out of her combat boots, cargo pants, turtle neck and black denim jacket. She snapped her fingers, instantly changed but this time, she made sure her appearance was cleaned since Hogwarts had guests. Her tie was on properly, her shirt tucked in, jumper on with her cloak on top and stockings beneath her skirt. She reach down to where the cracks were on her leg, checking the bandages were there and she walks out to head to the Great Hall after spraying on some perfume.

Draco rushed to change into his uniform, neatly setting his suit aside on his bed and going to the bathroom to change before coming out to fix his hair. He tied his tie, tucking it beneath his jumper and fixing his cloak on his shoulders, shirt tucked into his slacks as she buttoned up the cuffs. He walked out to his bed, putting on his rings and spraying on some expensive cologne before walking out to the great hall with the others. He quickly caught sight of (y/n), double-checking his appearance was prim and neat before walking next to her. He managed to catch her attention, chuckling at how she put in the effort to straighten her appearance too for the guests as she quickly ran her fingers through her hair before tying it up loosely.

"See you soon." he whispers down to her ear before they split away to sit at their house tables in the Great Hall.
