(y/n) - your name

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hermione, Ginny and (y/n) sat by the beds, chuckling as the boys were mucking around and showing their love for their favourite teams. Ron was going on and on about Victor Krum like he had a crush on the quidditch player.

"I think you're in love, Ron." Ginny mocks him.

"I agree, what do you think (y/n)?" Hermione asks the girl who had her head in her hands, a shy smile on her face with a blush coating her cheeks. (y/n)'s mind had been caught by Draco, seeing him in his black suit. He was all that was on her mind, her thoughts revolving around him. She couldn't even focus on the game properly. "(y/n)? Are you feeling ok?" Hermione asks, breaking her out of her daydreaming and she blinks in surprise.

"Uh, I'm going to go get some fresh air." she quickly says, rushing outside the tent to fan away her burning cheeks. "Why am I thinking about him so much-" the girl yelps when she suddenly gets pulled behind the tent, her back bumping against a table as she looks up in shock. Her breath hitches as she sees Draco standing in front of him, a mischievous smirk on his face.

"I found you..." he whispers lowly, his hands holding the table behind (y/n) on either side of her body. "So what's my prize?" he grins seeing her look up at him with her doe eyes, her cheeks pink from how flustered she was. He gently brushes a finger against her jaw, taking in how pretty she looked beneath the fireworks as her glasses reflected the colourful explosions. She had grown so beautifully, sweeping the air around him and making it almost hard to breathe around her with the scent of honey and flowers taking over his senses.

"Draco... what are you doing here...?" (y/n) whispers, shuddering from his touch as his hand drops down over hers on the table.

"I wanted to come to see you..." he mumbles out almost shyly, looking away in embarrassment.

"But how-I mean there's so many tents-" the kids quickly jump away in fright when they hear screams, and not screams of excitement, of fear. "What's going on-?" (y/n) gasps when she saw people running away, looking at Draco who looked terrified and he went to grab her hand to pull her away. "Wait no, go find your dad! I have to warn the others in the tent!"

"(y/n) we should-"

"-Draco run!" the boy hesitates, looking down at his arm when a faint red glow surrounds him protectively before fading away. He knew she had put a shield on him, the Hufflepuff running back inside the tent as he was forced to run away.

"Sounds like the Irish got their pride on." Fred says when (y/n) barges into the tent.

"It's not the Irish! People are running away screaming!" the kids all quickly get up when Arthur barges into the tent next.

"We've gotta get out of here. Now!" the father says and everyone rushes out, (y/n) quickly snapping her fingers so everyone's belongings went back to the Burrow before she rushed out with the others. Hermione held onto her tightly, the kids staring in disbelief at the hellish tableaux before them. All around them people ran in terror, trampling fires and kicking up sparks.

"Get out! It's the Death Eaters!"

"Get back to the portkey everybody, and stick together! Fred, George... Ginny is your responsibility!" Arthur says. The kids all rush away, looking behind them when they see a teeming clot of black-robed wizards with their faces concealed behind hideous masks. They were marching across the campsite, chanting and casting dark magic as fires roared around them.

People trampled and ran all over the place, bumping into (y/n) and she panics when she loses grip on Hermione. She quickly lost sight of the group as she yelled out for them, looking around in fear. Tears sprung to her eyes, spinning around for someone she knew and she quickly stumbled back when people ran past her harshly. She ran with the crowd, screaming when she falls over to the floor, turning around to see a man unconscious and she quickly scrambles away. Trying to get up, people trample over her and she gets knocked unconscious when she gets hit, falling to the floor.

"(y/n)! (y/n) wake up please!" the girl whimpers in pain, crying softly as she woke up with a pounding in her head and an ache in her leg. "(y/n), come on!" she recognised the voice, opening her eyes to see Draco sitting next to her with worry in his eyes.

"Draco?" he helps her sit up, his heart hurting seeing her cry and he wipes her tears away, pulling her into a hug tightly.

"I didn't see you with your group and they kept calling for you. I had to come back and find you, make sure you were ok." Draco let (y/n) cry in his arms, her hands gripping the back of his blazer as her head buried against his chest. "I shouldn't have left you..." he leans back, brushing his thumbs against her cheeks before picking up her broken glass on the floor next to her and pocketing them. "Can you stand up?"

"I don't know. My leg hurts-it feels like someone ran over it." she winces, rubbing her leg. Draco frowned at the blood that dried on her forehead, her soft lips split and he leaned down to pick her up in his arms. She held onto him tightly with a light gasp as he walked through the wreckage.

"(y/n)!" the girl heard the golden trip call out for her, them rounding the corner and gasping loudly in relief.

"We've been looking for you everywhere!" Hermione cries out, Draco carefully setting (y/n) down so she could hug her.

"What is he doing here?" Ron hisses but Harry had another question as he looked up at the sky.

"What is that?" Everyone looks up at the monstrous thing in the sky, Harry holds his head in pain. It was a colossal skull of emerald stars that had erupted in the night sky, a serpent coiling from its mouth.

Just then, popping and smoke fill the air as ministry wizards apparate around the group of kids with the wands aimed. "Stupefy!"

"Duck!" Harry yells out and everyone drops to the floor, Draco holding (y/n)'s head protectively as she fell to sit due to her injured leg.

Tens of jets of fiery red light electrify the air inches above their heads until it stopped when Ron's father dashes forward. "Stop! That's my son!" he shoves past the wizards, quickly helping the kids up. "Are you alright?"

"We came back for Harry and (y/n)!" Ron says, his father looking down to see Draco cradling (y/n) in his arms as he sneered at the wizards.

"She's hurt, she can't walk." the Slytherin says when one of the ministry wizards suddenly approaches them and accuses them of conjuring the mark in the sky.

"Do not lie! You have been discovered at the scene of the crime!"

"Crime?" Harry asks in confusion, Crouch pointing his wand directly at the boy. The man's eyes narrowed down at him until he noticed his scar, slowly lowering his wand.

"Barty, they're just kids." Arthur says and Harry pushes.

"What crime?"

"Harry it's his mark." Hermione answers, nodding to the sky.

"Voldemort? Those people tonight, in the masks... they're his too aren't they? They're his followers?"

"Death Eaters." Arthur confirms, Crouch looking at him before commanding his men to follow him.

"We should go..." Hermione says, kneeling down next to (y/n) and rubbing her arm. "We need to get your leg fixed up." Draco stands up with the Hufflepuff in his arms, not wanting anyone to take her away from him. He didn't believe that the golden trip cared, blaming them for (y/n) being hurt and he sneered at them as they tried to take her away.

"I'm not letting you idiot gits even try when you failed!" he snaps but the girl in his arms shakes her head, wriggling to get put down and he sets her down on her feet carefully. "But (y/n)-"

"-I have to go with Draco. You need to go back to your dad or he might get mad." the boy hesitantly nods, letting Ron's father pull him away from her as her friends held her up and walked away from him. Draco turned over his shoulders once more to see (y/n) mouthing some words to him and he smiles.

Thank you.

~~~~~~~~
"Are you sure you're ok?" Harry asks for the hundredth time, helping (y/n) get on the train and she smiles down at him before he gets on as well. "Your leg isn't hurting?"
"There's a dull ache but it should be fine. It's not like I'm running anywhere. No one is letting me." the Hufflepuff smiles, remembering how her week at the Weasleys went with the whole family coddling her and making sure her leg healed quickly before school began. Molly mothered her, Arthur listened intently to her muggle stories and the kids all made sure she didn't walk on her leg. Especially the twins when they would lift her up on their shoulders or carry her up the stairs or anywhere she needed to go. It felt nice to be looked after for once, feeling like you were part of a family.
Even everyone at the Burrow weren't the only ones worried for her. Draco had sent over tons of letters asking if she was ok and she always replied back with how her condition was or how the family was treating her. (y/n) especially enjoyed how he sent her sweets with the letters. Hunter and Loki both normally get tired so she let the owls rest with her before they went back to exchanging letters for the kids, the Hufflepuff making sure to give them their favourite treats.
"There's only one compartment left and it's next to the Slytherins..." Ron groans out, noticing Draco and his crew in the compartment opposite from them.
"There's nothing else we can do. (y/n) here," Hermione helps her friend sit by the window. "I'll put your bag away."
"I can walk you know. And I'm not completely hopeless." she snaps her fingers and everyone's bags were settled in the overheads in a second, Hermione giving her a scolding look.
"What if someone saw!?"
"But no one did." the boys chuckle with (y/n) as they sat down opposite the girls, the golden trio talking while (y/n) looked to the side and saw Draco smiling at her from his seat by the window before someone in both their compartments closed the door.
