"That sounds like a bunch of woo-woo crazy." (y/n) says, scoffing at what the golden trio told her about Divination while she was in Ancient Runes, their first class of the first day at Hogwarts. "Wait, Hermione how were you in Divination and Ancient Runes? Those classes start at the same time." (y/n) asks, confused since they were desk buddies for Ancient Runes and Ron was saying she was in that class too.

"Don't be silly. How could anyone be in two classes at once?" Hermione says, mimicking Trelawny as the group walks down the large green fields to head to Hagrids hut for their Magical Creatures class. There were other students also heading to the giant's hut, spread out in groups as they held their books.

"But-" (y/n)'s breath hitches when she feels cool hands hold her waist before a body passed her, turning to see that it was Draco as he smirks at her quickly before turning away. He enjoyed taunting her, seeing the way she froze and how she blushed whenever he was close by or near her.

"Are you ok (y/n)?" Hermione asks, glancing at the platinum blonde-haired boy and back to her friend who nods quickly, a hand over her waist covered by her shirt since she wasn't wearing her cloak. She knew she was going to get hot out in this class and left it in her dorm room.

"Yeah, yeah... I'm fine..." the boys look at each other before the girls dash down the hills quickly, zooming past the kids as they laugh out. They soon join up with the other students who huddled together in a group in front of Hagrid who was urging the rest to hurry up.

"That's it, come on now. Come closer. Less talking of you don't mind." Hagrid asks, the students shushing to a quiet while (y/n) and the golden trio hung around in the back. "I got a real treat for you today." the poor Hufflepuff girl wasn't paying attention when she could smell the faint apple smell, not wanting to turn around knowing who was directly behind her. She quickly took Hermione's arm and followed the rest of the students who walked with Hagrid, him leading them towards a small paddock just to the side of the Forbidden Forest. It was more comforting in this part of the forest, a calming greenery with the sun shining brightly through the trees and the leaves.

Draco hides his smile as he watches (y/n) look around in awe of the forest, talking happily with Hermione while she rolled her sleeves up. He tilts his head as he takes her in, her skirt shorter now that she had grown a lot taller than before, her tie loosened and tied messily since she has yet to learn how to tie one. The wind made her hair fly everywhere and she hastily brushes it back or tucks it behind her ears, her glasses reflecting the sun rays whenever she glanced back at him.

"What are you looking at?" Blaise asks, wondering what his friend was staring at so intently.

"Nothing." Draco quickly snaps back, wiping his face off any hint of a smile and looking annoyed instead. "Just thinking how dumb this class is and how dumber it is that Hagrid is our professor!" he exclaims and his crew laughs, mocking the huggable giant at his lack of teaching skills.

The students come to a stop as Hagrid takes them to his destination, asking them to gather around and stick together in a group. (y/n) stops with the golden trio, Draco walking past behind her and sighs softly at the sweet floral scent from her as he goes to lean against a tree with her friends.

"That's it. Now, open your books to page 49-"

"-and exactly how do we do that?" Draco calls out, holding his book by the strap.

"Just stroke the spine, of course." Hagrid says like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Goodness me..." he walks away and Draco scowls, (y/n) watching him stroke the spine of his book and her eyes widen seeing that he was wearing a ring. She quickly turns back to the front and strokes her book, it purring and opening up for her calmly when she removes the leather buckle.

"God, this place is going to the dogs. Wait until my father hears Dumbledore's got this oaf teaching classes!" Draco announces loudly to his goons who laugh at what he said and everyone turns to look at him, (y/n) raising her brow at the boy.

"Shut up Malfoy!" Harry snaps, walking towards him and Draco whistles seeing him look at him steely behind his glasses.

He looks at his goons, smirking as they whistle with him. (y/n) walks up next to Harry as the group of students circle around the boys and her, thinking they were going to fight. Draco saunters up to the two of them, grinning at (y/n) seeing her looks so pissed off that it amuses him. He easily towered over both of them but he enjoyed how small she looked compared to him so much better, the way she had to look up at him and he could just lean down.

Draco quickly clears his head, his face dropping and plastering on fear as he stares past Harry's shoulder while stumbling back. "Dementor! Dementor!" he exclaims, pointing up and everyone turns around except for (y/n). Harry jumps in fear but finds nothing when he turns around, the Slytherins laughing at him and putting their hoods up when he turns around to glare at Draco. Instantly, the Slytherins make an eerie 'ooh' sound to mock Harry, wriggling their fingers at him and (y/n) nearly bites down on Draco's fingers when he quickly pulls them back safely with wide eyes. "Fiesty little Puff!" he grins at her as she glares back at him.

"You're such an asshole Malfoy! An absolute snake!" she snaps at him, shoving him against the tree before spinning around and walking off with Harry and Hermione who had pulled him away before he could land a punch on the Slytherin. Hagrid coughs to grab the student's attention, them looking at him as he introduces the magical creature before them. It has the torso, hind legs, and tail of a horse, but the front legs, wings and head of a giant eagle. The students step back in fear, Draco squinting as he walks closer to see and he stops behind (y/n) still seeing her crossed.

"Why so angry little Puff?" he whispers, gently pulling on her hair and she moves away from him, her arms still crossed over her chest and he pinches her arm.

"Enough Draco!" she hisses lowly, elbowing him against his stomach and he coughs out in pain from the sudden impact.

"Beautiful, isn' he?" Hagrid beams proudly, throwing up a dead ferret for the creature to catch and eat.

"Hagrid. Exactly what is that?" Ron asks with wide eyes.

"That, Ron, is a Hippogriff. First thing you wanna know is they're very proud creatures. Very easily offended. You do not want to insult a Hippogriff. It may be the last thing you ever do." Hagrid warns, the students looking at the creature warily. "Now, who'd like to come and say hello?" the entire class steps backwards leaving Harry at the front, (y/n) gasping as her back bumps into Draco's chest as he holds her arms.

"Let go Draco." she hisses, the other students too focused on the creature in front of them as Harry carefully walks towards it, them stepping up forward leaving the two of them further behind the group. "Draco!" she whisper yells at him, trying to shake his grip off her but he moves to pull her into a hug. She was frozen in shock at the move, holding his arms that were around hers. He hums softly, enjoying how flustered she got until she used her powers to pry his hands off her and she runs back to the group. She turns around to see Draco grinning at her as he walked to his group, her tuning back to fan her face that had turned red.

What is he doing!?

Why is he messing with me so much!?

Harry had just successfully gotten the Hippogriff to bow to him, (y/n) moving to the front with Hermione and Ron to watch as their friend went to pat Buckbeak. She hears students groaning in annoyance as some of the Slytherins push them away harshly to get to the front, Draco standing next to her while eating a green apple. He passes her a pear secretly and she blinks down at it in surprise, taking it gingerly to eat it. He knew that she missed breakfast this morning so he made sure to get her to eat something.

Harry managed to pat Buckbeak successfully as the students clap, hagrid mentioning how the creature would let the boy ride him as he picks him up. "What!?" Harry exclaims as Hagrid sets him down on BuckBeak, sending the creature off as he runs with Harry on its back. The boy screams out as the students run to the edge of the cliff, cheering as Harry flew off with Buckbeak.

"He's actually flying! I wish I could do that!" some of the students exclaim and (y/n) smugly looks into the sky knowing she had that skill. Harry soon comes back with Buckbeak, the students applauding him again as he jumps off the creature.

Draco scowls seeing (y/n) clapping for him as well and he wanted that to change, charging forward through the group to have her attention on him. "Give me a go at that thing. If Potter can do it, it must be easy!" he strides towards Buckbeak, shoving past students. "You're not dangerous at all, are you, you great ugly brute-"

"-Malfoy! No!" Hagrid warns but he was too late. In a flash, Buckbeak's steely talons slash down on Draco making him fall to the ground in pain. The students all scream and run away but (y/n) rushes forward to pull the stupid platinum blonde-haired boy away from Buckbeak as Hagrid tries to calm the creature down.

"You idiot!" she hisses down at him while he whines in pain.

"It's killed me! It's killed me!" Draco cradles his arm, rolling around and (y/n) sighs at this boy, embarrassed for him.

"Calm down. It's just a scratch!" Hagrid tries to ease the wailing student on the ground but freezes seeing the blood seeping onto his clothes.

"Hagrid. He's got to be taken to a hospital." Hermione says.

"I'm the teacher. I'll do it." Hagrid says.

"No! Stay away! I want the Puff!" Draco points up at (y/n) and she glares down at him.

"What!? No!" she hisses and the boy continues complaining, Hagrid looking at her with pleading eyes. "Fine... Get up, you wuss! Your legs are fine!" she growls, picking the Slytherin boy up by his cloak and he gets up on his feet. "Let's go."

"You're gonna regret this! You and your bloody chicken!" Draco hides his smirk as he calls out to Hagrid, (y/n) picking up all of their belongings.

"He's not a chicken dumbass." she snaps at him as she walks away with him following close behind, leading him back up to the castle through the forest as the class continues behind them. When they were far enough, she uses her powers to levitate their stuff in the air behind her instead of carrying them.
