"Hagrid? Is that you?"

THE SPIDER SPOKE!? THE SPIDER FREAKING SPOKE!

(y/n) gawked as this creature and Harry spoke to each other about how Hagrid was in trouble due to the attacks in school, the ministry thinking he was the one to open the Chamber of Secrets like before. "That's a lie! Hagrid never opened the Chamber of Secrets."

"Then you're not the monster." Harry asks and the creature bellows out a no. (y/n) and Ron noticed the multiple other large spiders creeping around and they grimaced in panic.

"Harry..." Ron and (y/n) pulled on his sleeves and he shushes them both.

"But if you're not the monster, then what did kill that girl fifty years ago?"

"We do not speak of it. It is an ancient creature we spiders fear above all others."

WHAT CAN BE SO BAD THAT EVEN IT SCARES THESE GIANT SPIDERS!?

"But have you seen it?" Harry pushes, Ron and (y/n) slowly looking up and paling instantly at the number of spiders above them.

"I never saw any part of the castle but the box in which Hagrid kept me. The girl was discovered in a bathroom. When I was accused, Hagrid brought me here."

"Harry!" Ron and (y/n) exclaim and he finally pays notice to his visible friend and invisible friend.

"What!?" they both turn up as Ron points up, both kids whimpering in fear. Spiders crawled up around them and (y/n) finally reappears, Harry quickly covering Ron's eyes for her.

"Come near us and I'll freaking burn every single one of your children to a freaking crisp!" (y/n) screams out, hands blazing red with her powers as her body glowed. The spiders shrink away in fear as the ground around her burns up dangerously, her eyes glowing red.

"Since when did (y/n) get here!?" Ron exclaims, wondering why Harry was covering his eyes.

"Stay away!" she screams out, hovering in the air as she sends out a blast all around her against the spiders that make them screech in pain from their bodies being set aflame. She quickly picks up the boys with her powers, taking them with her as they zoom across the dark forest with Ron screaming in fear.

"Harry!? Harry what's happening!?" he shrieks out as he kept his eyes closed the entire time.

"If Hagrid ever gets out of Azkaban, I'll kill him!" (y/n) hisses out, Ron agreeing with her even though he didn't know what was happening at the moment still.

"I mean, what was the point of sending us in there!? What have we found out!?" Ron exclaims, the kids soaring through the night sky safely as (y/n) takes everyone back to the castle while cloaking them invisible and Harry says one last thing.

"We know one thing. Hagrid never opened the Chamber of Secrets. He was innocent." (y/n) drops off Ron and Harry in their common room, her glaring at the boy with glasses who looks up at her while still covering his friend's eyes.

"You owe me, big time!"

"I know. I know. I'm sorry." the Hufflepuff girl sneers down at the Gryffindor boy, pointing to Ron and putting a finger to her lips and Harry knew that he had to come up with an exaggerated lie to keep (y/n)'s secret safe with him like he promised. She quickly flies off, landing back into the dungeon's corridor and dropping the cloak off her.

"Jesus Christ!" she shudders heavily, feeling shivers and creepy crawlies on her skin as she desperately wipes at her body as if to get the spiders off her.

"(y/n)?" she looks up and sees Draco slink past from the door to his common room, looking at her with wide eyes.

"Are there any spiders on me!?" she asks him desperately, turning around for him so he could check while ruffling her hair and swatting at her body. "I feel like they're on me!"

"There's nothing on you!" Draco pulls her into the kitchen to set her down on a stool, brushing her arms down and she instantly becomes calm. One last violent shudder crawls up her spine, making her physically shiver and he blinks at her in surprise. "What happened? Are you ok?"

"Spiders, there are gigantic house-sized spiders living in the dark forest!"

"Wait what!? No, wait, start from the beginning. From this morning. What happened with McGonagall and the Quidditch match?" So (y/n) tells him exactly what happened, with Hermione being attacked and in the hospital wing, Dumbledore being suspended, about Tom Riddle, Hagrid being innocent but taken to prison and the giant hungry spiders in the dark forest.

~~~~~~~~
Draco stood idly and uncomfortably behind (y/n) as she sat by Hermione on the bed, holding her hand gently in hers with a deep frown on her face. He had listened to her all night, to listen to her voice crack and to see her eyes brim with tears when she talked about Hermione. He listened to how she would kill the person that did this to her, listened to how angry and sad she was. He didn't know how to comfort someone except by just being there and listening, so that's what he did then and now.
"She's so cold..." Draco hears (y/n) whisper, looking over at the flowers she replaced in the vase next to her friend. "I got you flowers... false indigos and white heathers..." the Slytherin watched with concern as he watched the sad girl continue to talk to her friend, not realising her powers leaking out from her eyes like glowing tears. The droplets travelled down and plastered on the ground, bursts of purple and white flowers growing around the bed.
"(y/n)..." Draco whispers, catching her attention as she looks at him and she finally notices the jungle of flowers around her.
"(y/n)!" both she and Draco freeze in fear, the Slytherin boy hiding behind some flowers when he sees Harry and Ron walk up to their friend. He frowns and slinks away, walking out of the hospital wing and leaving (y/n) with the Gryffindor boys.
"How did you get all these flowers?" Ron asks in surprise but he admires the nice gesture, Harry knowing exactly how as he points to his eyes and (y/n) quickly wipes her eyes clear as the glow disappears.
The boys move to sit by Hermione as (y/n) leans against the bedside table. "Wish you were here Hermione. We need you... now, more than ever." Harry whispers, holding her hand gently but his brows furrow in confusion when he felt something in her friend's hand, taking out a crumbled piece of paper.
"What's that?" (y/n) immediately stands up straight seeing the paper, realisation growing on Harry's face when he uncrumpled it and read what was on it.
"This is why Hermione was in the Library the day she was attacked. Come on!" Ron and (y/n) rushed to follow Harry out of the hospital wing. "'Of the many fearsome beasts that roam our land, none is more deadly than the Basilisk. Capable of living for hundreds of years, instant death awaits any who meet this giant serpent's eye. Spiders flee before it.'"
"It's a snake! That's why you can hear it! The Basilisk is the monster in the Chamber of Secrets!" (y/n) gasps and Harry nods.
"But if it kills by looking people in the eye, why is it no one's dead?" Ron asks and Harry thinks about it.
"Because no one directly looked at it in the eye!" (y/n) gasps and Harry realises what she meant.
"Colin saw it through his camera. Justin must have seen the Basilisk through Nearly Headless Nick. And Hermione... had the mirror." he quickly says.
"Even now she's helping us..." (y/n) mumbles out.
"I bet you anything she was using it to look around corners, in case it came along." Harry bets.
"That smartass." (y/n) compliments, rushing after the boys as they walked off down the hallway. "And there was water when Filch's cat got petrified! She must've seen its reflection!" she explains quickly.
Harry moves next to a pillar lit with a flame, reading out the next few sentences on the paper. "'Spiders flee before it.' It all fits!"
"But how's a basilisk been getting around? A dirty great snake-someone would have seen it." Ron asks and (y/n) points to the writing at the bottom of the paper.
"Hermione's answered that, too. The pipes. Damn, she thought everything through!"
"Remember what Aragog said, about that girl fifty years ago? She died in a bathroom? What if she never left?"
"Moaning Myrtle..." Ron says and (y/n) groans out in annoyance at the fact that they had to talk to the ghost girl. The kids look up when they suddenly hear an announcement from McGonagall through the speakers, urging students to their common room and for the teachers to the second-floor corridor.
"Let's go." (y/n) says as the kids nod at each other, running off to the second-floor corridor while she snaps her fingers to cloak all three of them invisible with her powers. They peek over the corner to see more blood writing on the wall as teachers discuss the dangerous emergency of this whole situation.
"As you can see, the Heir of Slytherin has left another message. Our worst fear has been realized. A student has been taken by the monster into the Chamber itself. The students must be sent home. I'm afraid this is the end of Hogwarts." McGonagall says sadly, the kids looking at each other with wide eyes. Lockhart arrives late, asking what happened and Snape informs him a girl had been taken to the Chambers. He was put to the task to save her and he reluctantly agrees, rushing off to his office to get ready.
"Who is it that the monster's taken, Minerva?" Madam Pomfrey asks and McGonagall purses her lips.
"Ginny Weasley." The teachers gasp, walking off and talking about what to do as Harry looked at Ron who gasped while he read the words on the wall.
His little sister had just been and he tears up. "We have to save her."
"We will Ron." (y/n) nods stiffly, gritting her teeth angrily.
