(y/n) - your name

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The wedding day was absolutely beautiful, bright and sunny and full of happiness under the bright blue sky as two families joined. Sweet music drifted through the air as Ron and Harry waited for the girls before the wedding started, looking up when they hear the door open. Ron's eyes solely focused on Hermione in her beautiful red dress while she helped (y/n) down the stairs, Harry smiling softly at how stunning his friend looks in her gown with green hydrangeas and daylilies in her pinned up hair.

"You both... wow..." Ron couldn't muster any words, smiling at (y/n) and she smiles at the boys warily.

"Thank you." she tells the trio, smoothing up the gloves that she wore to hide her bandages and most of her bruises and scars. She didn't care about the faint red streaks that were on her skin... it was the other wounds... the marks from the Death Eaters that she wanted to hide.

"Wait! One more thing!" Hermione gasps, remembering she was holding Draco's ring he got (y/n). "Here." she carefully lifts up her friends left hand to put the black diamond ring on her ring finger. "Now we're good to go." the Hufflepuff smiles at her friend, letting her pull her into a gentle hug.

"Shall we?" Harry asks as he holds his arm up for (y/n) as Ron holds up his for Hermione, the girl wary but hesitantly loops her arm around his. He wore his full dress robes so she wouldn't have to be in skin to skin contact with him and he breathes out in relief to see her ease in comfort with him. He didn't want to scare her off, guiding her carefully into the tent where people were chatting happily before sitting in their seats when the wedding was about to start. The trio-minus Ron-sat towards the middle side, closer to the exit of the open tent for (y/n) so she didn't feel claustrophobic.

"I can sit down just fine." She smiles wryly as Hermione was about to help her sit down but she chuckles nervously and moves to sit next to her with Harry on her other side. The wedding was beautiful and sweet, Fleur being walked down by her father as the Weasley's were up with their brother. "She's beautiful." the girls whispered to each other, the wedding vows being shared as the rings were exchanged.

And only then was the party in full swing. Tables and chairs were moved together on either side of a dance floor, the lights changing and spells casted to bring an air of magic with fluttering butterflies and humming birds. A table of wine glasses appeared in a tall stack, filled automatically with a shimmery gold drink, tables filled with food and people burst into celebrations.

Every danced and sang and drank long through into the night as Bill and Fleur twirl madly within a clapping circle of well-wishers. Folk music drifted from violins and people clapping along with the beat, (y/n) smiling at the happy atmosphere as Hermione urged her to come dance with her.

"I can't dance-"

"-neither can I but it's all just a bit of fun!" The Gryffindor smiles as the Hufflepuff lets her gently pull her up by her elbows, taking her to the dance floor and spinning around with her. The girls smiled as they danced together, their dresses flitting around each other and laughing out as they partnered up to waltz. Hermione spun (y/n) off and she bumps into Fred who bows.

"May I have this dance princess?" he grins when she nods, holding her gently and sweeping her across the dance floor as people clapped. He spun her beneath his arm and twirled her off to his twin.

"Finally I get to have a dance with my lovely sleeping beauty." he winks and she chuckles as George dances her around the floor, picking her up and spinning her around before setting her down to twirl her towards Hermione. Everyone clapped for the girls as they held onto each others elbows and spun each other around, laughing happily before being caught by Ron and Harry when they let go.

"Thanks." (y/n) gasps as she smiles at Harry who nods, letting her go. He fixes the flowers in her hair, holding her hand and kissing the back of it.

"I didn't get to tell you how beautiful you look... I know Draco would be completely enamoured." he eyes the ring, a sadness in his heart but he pushes it away.

Draco is hers, and (y/n) is his.

I won't get between that again.

"I wish he was here..." she sighs out, reaching up for her necklace as she watched the festivities with her friend.

"Was he... did he help you escape? Is that how you got to my house?" Harry asks as (y/n) nods and he silently thanks the Slytherin. He looks over the celebrations with his friend until his eyes catch onto the person he was trying to find, an old friend that knew his headmaster. "I have to go talk to him. I'll be back." he says and she nods, walking off as she leaves to walk outside for some air. She fiddles with the green silk gloves, taking them off to stare at the black ink stained bandages, turning her hand around as she tried to wriggle her fingers. She frowns, lifting up to touch the beads on her dress and there was only a faint sensation but nothing else.

She sighs in defeat and just looks up at the sky but furrows her brows when a small blue dot appears in the night, flickering against her glasses. It looked like a shooting star but it seems like it was growing bigger-no it was getting closer, plummeting to the Earth and growing speed and she gasps as it slices through the canopy with no harm. Everyone in the wedding gasps in fright, stepping away from the large floating ball of blue light. Everyone waited anxiously until a voice broke out.

"The Ministry has fallen."

(y/n) looks back up at the sky with fear and quickly tries to summon her powers, her streaks fizzing across her skin as sparks erupt from the cracks in her body. She controls the bandages to unravel, floating on either side of her as ink dripped down to the ground in a mess of dark redish black blobs.

"Come on!" She grits her teeth as she pushes through the pain, panting heavily when she notices the black mist in the far distance. "Come on!" she hisses out and she throws her hands out to control the ink to circle around the wedding and everyone before bursting out from the ground to protect them in a inky dome. Everyone shrieks in panic when Death Eaters slam against the swirling dome, growling when they had no way of getting in and casts spell after spell to break through.

"Get her!" they shrill out and she snaps at them, growing furious as ink dripped from her cracks, her eyes flaring bright red as she yells at everyone at the wedding to leave.

"(y/n)!" the trio gasp out she snares at them

"Leave!"

"Not without you!" the girl turns her neck in frustration, people still trying to apparate away to safety. She turns her arms and rolls them in front of her as winds pick up from the inky dome suddenly spinning around quickly, gaining speed faster and faster to burn and pierce through the Death Eaters when spikes shoot out to skewer them to shreds. The last thing everyone saw was the dome exploding out and painful shrieks as sharp tendrils shot out to pin down the Death Eaters before the trio grabbed (y/n) apparated away.

"Shit-" the Hufflepuff gasps when they land on a road with a double decker bus just about to run them over until the trio pull her back against the safety of the railing, the vehicle barreling past them. They breathe out heavily from the panic of almost being bulldozed, people around them ignoring them as they went about their night.

"We need to move." Hermione pants out, taking hold of (y/n) as the boys follow her closely, trying not to get lost amongst the large crowd of people that pushed against them. They hurry on, glancing over their shoulders at the dark shapes that move within the crowd behind them, strangers bumping by, faces passing in a paranoiac blur.

"Hermione! I could've taken them!" (y/n) hissed, ripping her arm out of her grasp. "I got them all-"

"-and what if there was more coming (y/n)!? You're hurt! They would've taken you away!" she whips around, tears in her eyes. "Look at you!" she raises her hands that dripped ink from her wrists, her eyes still red until she blinks her fizzing powers away. "You don't have your powers anymore! Just... just this pain you think is your powers."

"We need to get you patched up (y/n)." Harry says and she nods in defeat, letting Hermione hold her elbow gently to pull her through the crowd again as the boys follow.

"We need to go somewhere quiet first." Hermione exclaims.

"Where are we?" Ron asks, new to the muggle world.

"Shaftesbury Avenue. I used to come here to the theater with my mum and dad. Just popped into my head. I don't know why... This way!" Hermione takes her friends dark an empty alleyway, taking refuge in the shadows as she rummages through her tiny purse. "We need to change."

Ron, Harry and (y/n) look at each other in confusion then surprise when Hermione starts pulling out various pieces of clothing for everyone to change into out of their formal wear. "How the ruddy-"

"-undetectable Extension Charm." Hermione answers.

"You're amazing, you are." Ron grins and she smiles at him with a roll of her eyes.

"Always the tone of surprise."

Suddenly there was a loud echoing of heavy objects, as if something has fallen and Hermione grimaces when she pulls out bandages. "I'm guessing those were your books." (y/n) chuckles as her friend smiles in embarrassment.

"Come here." the girls sit down as the boys behind them change, the Gryffindor casting a spell to wrap the bandages tight around her friends hands and wrists to secure them and stop the ink from dripping.

"Thank you."

"Do you need help changing?" Hermione asks and (y/n) nods in embarrassment.

"I think yeah."

Once the boys were done, they held up a large sheet for the girls to change, looking away with their wands in their hands until they were done.
