(y/n) - your name
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"And you brought your camera why?" Hermione asks as she and (y/n) walked behind the boys who were talking about how Hagrid have always dreamed about wanting a dragon.
"You know, in case something interesting pops up just like the dragon." (y/n) whispers, showing Hermione the pictures she took.
"It's crazy. And worse, Malfoy knows!" Ron exclaims.
"I don't understand. Is that bad?" Harry asks and even (y/n) was wondering if that was bad as well.
"It's bad." Ron says, nodding towards McGonagall walking towards them with a stern look on her face, and clearly not happy since she was in her nightgown.
"Good evening." she says, Draco appearing smugly beside her making (y/n) narrow her eyes at him in annoyance that he got her in trouble. The students were ushered into McGonagall's classroom, the four of them now standing in front of her desk while a smirking Draco was a few feet away next to them.
"Smug asshole..." (y/n) hisses lowly as Draco sticks his tongue out at her and she raises her hands at him like she wanted to throttle him by his neck.
"Nothing, I repeat, nothing gives a student the right to walk about the school at night. Therefore, as punishment for your actions, 50 points will be taken. Each." McGonagall says and all the students gape at her in shock.
"50?!"
"No way!" (y/n) and Harry both exclaim at the loss of points.
"Hufflepuff has never lost a point before!? Oh, I'm so in trouble..." she groans, knowing that her prefect was going to give her an earful when she gets back to the common room.
"And to ensure it doesn't happen again, all five of you will receive detention." Malfoy nods at McGonagall's words at first, his smile soon vanishing with great concern when he properly processed her words.
"Excuse me, Professor. Perhaps I heard you wrong. I thought you said... 'the five of us.'" Draco walks up to her desk, hoping that he didn't get detention as well.
"No, you heard me correctly, Mr. Malfoy." (y/n) smirks happily at the news, sticking her tongue out at Draco who turns around to glare at the group. "You see, as honourable as your intentions were, you too were out of bed after hours. You will serve detention with your classmates." McGonagall ushers the children out and they walked down the hallway, Draco grumbling under his breath.
When they were far enough that the professor wouldn't hear them, (y/n) taunted him. "That's what you get asshole! Karma!" she jumps up, smiling widely at the sulking boy as the golden trio snickers at him.
"Oh shut up!" Draco hissed at them.
"You wouldn't have gotten into trouble if you didn't snitch on us!" (y/n) snaps, not happy that she was getting detention now. "Have you ever heard a Hufflepuff getting detention!? We stay under the radar! I'm gonna get in so much trouble cause of you!" she huffs at Draco who rolls his eyes.
"Yeah well, you're not all Hufflepuff! You're the all-house girl!"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing!"
"Should we stop them?" Hermione whispers with concern when she turns around to see the Slytherin and Hufflepuff fighting.
"Nah, this is the first time I've ever seen someone stand up to Malfoy. Let him get what he deserves." Ron says, amused at how Draco went red in the face while arguing with (y/n).
"Ok enough both of you! Do you want us to get into even more trouble!?" Harry exclaims and both of them quickly shut up, walking the rest of the way to their common rooms in silence to not wake anyone up. The Gryffindors went up to their towers and the Hufflepuff and Slytherin went down to the dungeon's corridor.
"Why did you snitch on us anyway?" (y/n) quickly asks, stopping Draco before he could leave. His cheeks were puffed in anger, arms crossed like he didn't want to say anything but turns around to face her anyway.
"You didn't come to the tower! If I had known you were hanging out with the idiot pests-"
"-they dragged me away ok. I didn't go with them willingly. It all had to do with Fluffy and the trapdoor-"
"-it's always about them!" Draco grits out and (y/n) rolls her eyes.
"Let's go." she drags him towards the kitchen, sneaking in using her powers unknowingly to the boy and setting him down on a stool. "They just tell me what they find out. They go on their little adventure and I sit back with the info until I tell you." (y/n) was roaming around, grabbing ingredients to make some hot chocolate. "Now do you want hot chocolate while I tell you what they know so far or what?" she turns around to see the boy still sulking but more calmer now.
"...Yes..."
"Ok good. Catch." she chucks him her blanket-no not hers, Dracos but also her birthday gift he gave her to keep-to hold while she makes them both the hot sweet drink and tells him about what she learnt.
~~~~~~~~
"Why are you dragging me out here!? We just got detention for being out past curfew last week!" Draco complains as (y/n) pulls him down with her to Hagrids hut.
"For you to apologise." she pulls him along harder and he stumbles next to her as they go down the hills.
"You are definitely not a Hufflepuff..." (y/n) narrows her eyes at Draco and he raises his arms in defence. They finally end up in front of the door, the Hufflepuff urging her Slytherin friend to knock on the door instead. "Why me!?"
"Just do it." she hissed at him and he quickly knocks on the door.
"I'm not in the mood to entertain you kiddies tonight." Hagrid sighs out sadly as he opens the door to find (y/n) and Draco standing before him. "You should go before you get into trouble again." she shoves the platinum blonde-haired boy forward and he clears his throat.
"I'm sorry Hagrid..." Draco mumbles almost in audible and (y/n) pinches his arm, making him yelp in pain. "Ok! I'm... I'm sorry Hagrid. There!" he whips around to glare at her but sees her cheeky grin.
"That wasn't so hard, now was it."
"Thank you, Malfoy but it doesn't ease my sad heart." Hagrid ushers the kids into his hut, closing the door behind him.
(y/n) was expecting to see the baby dragon but it was nowhere to be seen. "Where's Norbert?"
"He got taken away! He was sent to Romania!" Hagrid tears up, sniffling. "I miss him!" the giant plops down on his couch sadly, Draco feeling uncomfortable in this situation and he turns to (y/n) who was slinking away.
"Where do you think you're going!?" he hisses at her lowly.
"Hagrid, I'll be right back, I have something I need to give you that I forgot in my dorm."
"(y/n) don't-" the girl quickly runs out of the hut, her powers swarming around her as she jumped up and flew away leaving Draco with a crying Hagrid. The poor boy didn't know what to do, just stand there while (y/n) cloaked herself, hovering before the windows of the Hufflepuff girl's dorm. Her powers let her split apart the window into small shards of glass, flying through a hole big enough for her before the window melded back together.
Girls in her dorm were fast asleep and she had to make sure to keep quiet even though she was invisible to them, her powers causing a low red light as she pulled out a secret trunk from beneath the floorboards under her bed. The lid opened and she brought up all her photos as they floated in the air around her, hovering before her until she found the ones she needed and grabbed those before putting everything back to how there were before. She went out through the window the same way she got in, flying back to Hagrids hut quickly and landing gently in front of the door before slamming it open.
"Here!" she exclaims, closing the door behind her and quickly passing Hagrid the printed photos she took of him and Norbert. "Thought you might like these." she had printed them out with a machine she created, hiding it with the trunk under her bed.
"(y/n)... my, these are wonderful! Thank you!" Hagrid takes the photos, smiling seeing Norbert in them. "I'm going to hang them up so I can see him every day!"
"No problem Hagrid! We best be going now!" the giant pays the kids no attention as he stares at the photos, Draco and (y/n) running out to head back to their common room. She used her powers to cast her and him to be invisible without his knowledge, hiding her hand behind her back to keep the red glow hidden.
"How did you get back so quickly!?" Draco exclaims as the two got into the castle, casually just walking through the hallways now.
"I have my ways." (y/n) grins at him.
"And how did you print those pictures out!?" Draco's mind was reeling with so many questions about this girl next to him, her glasses glinting with mischeviousness and he just couldn't understand anything about her.
"That's for me to know and for you to never find out." he narrows his eyes at her, determined to know who and what (y/n) is.
How she was so powerful and so smart.
How she didn't have her memories but knew everything else like a normal person.
How she was the all-house girl.
How she was so fast and managed to get through difficult things so easily. Too easily.
There was something she was hiding and he wanted to know.
Especially the flashes of red he sometimes sees in her eyes or those strange lightning streaks on her arms.
He will have to try and pry a little further.
"Wait, did you print my ones out?" he raises a brow and she quickly shakes her head.
"No way! that's just creepy!"
