(y/n) - your name

"How the fuck is Hermione drunk of a non-alcoholic drink!? What the hell is in butterbeer!?" (y/n) exclaims as she watches her friend stumble over her feet. "And I had the most drinks!"

The snow was falling heavily now around the four friends, the boys walking together while the Hufflepuff tried to control her drunk friend. The female Gryffindor was ahead of everyone, spinning around and tilting her head up to let snowflakes fall on her tongue.

"Bit worried about her. Did you hear that rubbish she was talking back in the pub? Her and snogging. Ha. As if..." Ron says, (y/n) rolling her eyes at how oblivious this boy was to the fact Hermione had feelings for him. For some god-awful reason.

"Hermione, please don't eat the snow-" The Hufflepuff gets cut off by a shrill scream, the four friends looking up to see a girl out cold on the ground with her friend screaming.

"I warned her! I warned her not to touch it!" they rush over, stopping when the body suddenly moves left and right, suddenly rising up six feet into the air. Her hair dances violently in the wind, her face remains eerily placid until she opens her mouth and screams.

"Shit!" (y/n) rushes forward, shoving past the boys as the body falls, hiding her hand to catch the girl with her powers but lets her fall on her like she caught her. The girl was just twitching now but her head was safe from the impact of the ground.

"Don't get any closer! Get back! All o' yeh!" Hagrid suddenly pops out from the white, the kids listening to him as he approaches (y/n) and the girl. He picks her up, nodding to the Hufflepuff for her save before snapping at Harry. "Do not touch that, except by the wrappings! Do you understand?" Harry quickly nods, everyone shocked by how fierce the huggable giant was with his orders. The kids circle around the necklace, the unconscious girl's friend rushing after Hagrid which let (y/n) control the items and wrap them back up with her powers.

"This is not going to be good... is it?" she asks, her friends shaking their heads.

~~~~~~~~
The necklace lies green and glittering upon McGonagall'sdesk, the four friends standing before her with Katies-the girl that was unconscious-friend Leanne. They stood waiting as she inspected the necklace and the box, everyone safe inside within the castle walls to avoid the blizzard outside.
"You're sure Katie did not have this in her possession when she entered the Three Broomsticks, Leanne?" McGonagall asks.
"It's like I said. She went to the loo and when she came back she had the package. She said it was important she deliver it."
"Did she say to whom?"
"To Professor Dumbledore."
"Very well. Thank you, Leanne. You may go." McGonagall instructs the student that she can leave, soon turning to the friends standing in front of her. "Why is it when something happens it is always you four?"
"Believe me, Professor, I've been asking myself the same question for six years." Ron and (y/n) say at the same time, glancing at Harry who narrows his eyes at them for the blame.
Just then, Snape appears at the door and eyes the trio. "Oh, Severus." he briskly walks up to McGonagall, inspecting the necklace.
"Is this it?" McGonagall nods and Snape takes his wand out, lifting the necklace up like a dead snake and eyes it with fascination.
"What do you think?"
"I think Miss Bell is lucky to be alive." Snape answer McGonagall, looking at (y/n) who purses her lips.
"She was cursed, wasn't she? I know Katie. Off the Quidditch pitch, she wouldn't hurt a fly. If she was delivering that to Professor Dumbledore, she wasn't doing it knowingly." Harry speaks up.
"Yes. She was cursed." McGonagall answers.
"It was Malfoy." Ron, Hermione and (y/n) narrow their eyes at Harry.
"That's a very serious accusation, Potter." McGonagall looks at him with disbelief.
"Indeed. Your evidence?" Snape says, putting the necklace down to narrow his eyes at the boy.
"I just know."
"You just... know. Once again you astonish with your gifts, Potter, gifts mere mortals could only dream of possessing. How grand it must be to be the ChosenOne." Snape scolds, the others looking away uncomfortably.
"I suggest you return to your dormitory. All of you." McGonagall orders and the four friends rush to their dorms.
~~~~~~~~

Night fell quickly over Hogwarts as the snow blizzard howled outside, two Gryffindor boys laying awake and discussing about who they found attractive while one of them complains about his sister.

"What do you suppose Dean sees in her? Ginny." Ron asks.

"What does she see in him?" Harry was confused by the sudden conversation as he watched Malfoy on the Marauder's map.

"Dean? He's brilliant."

"You called him a slick git not five hours ago." Harry complains.

"Yeah, well, he was running his hands all over my sister, wasn't he? Something snaps. You've got to hate him. You know, on principle."

"I suppose."

"So what is it he sees in her?"

"I don't know." Harry gives up, growing frustrated by the conversation.

"And (y/n), what could she possibly see in Malfoy?" Ron says.

"I don't know." Harry purses his lips.

"What do you think he sees in her?"

"She's smart. Funny. Attractive..." Harry sighs out with a blissful smile but he screams in fright when he sees a head pop up through the bedroom door. "(y/n)!?" he begs to whoever was out there that she didn't hear him talk about her as she smiles at the boys sheepishly, Ron covering himself with his blanket like he was embarrassed.

"Sorry boys. But I need to borrow something from you." she flies into the room, hovering next to Harry to snatch the map out of his hands.

"Oi-"

"-following Draco already, thought so." she inspects the map, following the footsteps.

"(y/n) wait-"

"-I'll bring this back, don't worry Harry." the girl flies off with the map and he sighs in defeat, falling back on his bed while ignoring his friend who was still talking.

"Hermione's got nice skin. Wouldn't you say? As skin goes, I mean."

"I've never really thought about it. But I suppose, yeah. Very nice." There was an awkward silence and Harry takes his glasses off. "I think I'll be going to sleep now."

"Right." Ron nods, wondering what (y/n) was doing with the map but decides to just sleep.

For her, however, she was flying through the Hogwarts corridors as she tried to find the one Draco was in, following his footsteps before they disappeared. She looked up and recognised where she was going, sending the map back to Harry with a puff of red smoke as she lands in front of the door for the Room of Requirement. She shakes off the nerves of finally being able to talk to him, to try and get him to speak to him one last time before she stops completely.

(y/n) flies through the door that splits apart and melds behind her, staying invisible as she hovered over the knick-knacks that just covered the room. She flies over until she finds a clearing with that cabinet, seeing Draco standing in front of it. He looked sick, looked so ill and paler than usual. His blazer was chucked somewhere behind him, his hair dishevelled as he moved to just sit down on a chair in defeat. He kicks away some of the tools near him in a sudden burst of aggression, picking up a piece of wood and throwing it away hard before he slumps in the chair.

The Hufflepuff heard sniffles and her heart breaks seeing her love be so broken like this, seeing him hold his head in his hands. She hovered down to kneel in front of him, leaning up to hold his cheeks but stops herself. She wanted to let him know that she was here for him but she knew that if he found out, he would get angry at her and cut her off completely.

(y/n) needed Draco to talk to her, she needed him to take that step to come to her because if she approached him, it would be like scaring deer and he would disappear from her completely.

Oh, Draco...

~~~~~~~~
"And you invited me why?" (y/n) purses her lips as Harry sat on a stool in the kitchen while she cooked Draco some dinner to send to him, something hot and fresh for him.
"Because I need you-as a spy. Remember Dumbledore asked me to watch Slughorn so I thought you might be able to pick some things up." Harry quickly corrects himself, trying to hide the blush at the fact that he was asking (y/n) to be his plus one to the dinner Slughorn had invited him and Hermione.
"And when is this dinner?"
"Tonight actually..." the girl whirls around to face Harry who was wearing a suit, combed and dressed up while she was in her pj's.
"Why didn't you tell me like yesterday!?" she screeches at him and he jumps back.
Harry didn't have the guts to ask (y/n) until the last minute.
"I'm sorry-" he gets cut off by a burst of red waves falling over her, rippling away to reveal her changed into a dress. He blushes heavily seeing her dressed up in this simple but beautiful off-shoulder black gown, not realising that this was the same gown Draco's mother made for her for New Years. "Wow..." she ignores him, hit with memories of that night as she smoothed down the dress with a bittersweet smile, remembering how her love looked at her when he first saw her in this dress.
"Yeah, pretty convenient." (y/n) raises a brow at Harry, checking in a spoon that her makeup was done well before covering Draco's dinner and sending the plate to him with a poof of red clouds.
"Where did you send that plate of food?" the Gryffindor doesn't get an answer from the Hufflepuff as she urges him out of the kitchen.
"So where too?"
