Weeks have gone by since the incident with Snape, weeks gone since the incident with Umbridge's interrogation and weeks since (y/n) had finally gotten better and hoped that she would reunite with her friends but that was never the case. Draco had made sure to occupy all of his girlfriend's time with her helping him to study for their upcoming O.W.Ls, concocting lies and plans that ensured that she wouldn't cross paths with the golden trio again.

She was all his to look after, they would never go near her and put her in danger again.

(y/n) thought that maybe her friends didn't want to be friends with her anymore, deciding to let them go if they didn't want her in their life or wacky missions again. She... was ok with it... She knew one day that they wouldn't need her anymore, that she wasn't important enough to be in their life so she let it go.

"You have me, princess. I'm not going anywhere." Draco would repeat to her every now and then as they either hung out in his bedroom, the astronomy tower or in her bedroom. His words made her feel good, made her feel like she was still important to someone and she clung to those words and to Draco. His growing protection led him to shower her with endless affection that seemed too sweet to be true on the surface.

"thank god I'm in the back and away from her..." (y/n) shuddered as she walked into the Great Hall with Draco, an arm around her waist as he lead them to their seats with were coincidentally next to each other. Umbridge was yet to be here, students around them trying to cram in last-minute studying before she did.

The Slytherin saw the golden trio trying to grab their friend's attention but he quickly turns her back to them and have her look up at him instead. "I won't let her hurt you again." his heart soared seeing his Puff smile up at him, leaning up to kiss his cheek gratefully. "Now, feeling alright about the exam?"

"Yep! We both studied a lot for this. Well maybe less on paper and more on each other..." (y/n) flushes and Draco smirks, pulling her close by her hips to kiss her once more before the pink bitch arrived. "You're gonna ace this Draco!"

"Thank you (y/n). I know you're going to get high marks as usual." he grins, sitting down at his sit and not noticing the worried look on his girlfriend's face. The Hufflepuff had put a pause on using her powers, causing too much pain for her when she did. She didn't fly or use her invisibility, didn't complete work months before hand-not that she needed to since everything was done before the Easter holidays anyway-and didn't use it for trivial thing such as getting dressed with a snap of her fingers.

It wasn't too much of an indifference except that she stayed with Draco the entire time, not letting her go to her dorm since he thought it would be easier for him to look after her if she stayed with him. She didn't have to turn invisible to visit him, didn't have to fly through floors or change before seeing him. But when it came to studying or exams, (y/n) didn't have her hidden textbooks with her and she thanked whoever was out there for the major study session she needed with her boyfriend.

Umbridge soon walked into the Great Hall, standing in front of the students and explaining the rules and such before starting the time. Everyone and everything fell into silence as a giant clock swung back and forth behind the pink bitch. Everyone was concentrated on their papers, suddenly looking up when they heard a low rumbling. It stops and everyone turns back to their papers until they hear the sound again. Even Umbridge was confused as she walked out of the Great Hall to investigate what that sound was.

(y/n) turns to Draco who shrugs, the couple suddenly looking up when they hear whizzing and a firecracker exploding into bright colours above them. "Fred and George!" the Hufflepuff whispers with excitement, turning back to look out the Great Hall when everyone hears the Weasley twins cheer out in mischief and glee. They fly into the hall on their brooms, papers flying everywhere from the wind as they throw firecrackers all around them. The crackers fly up and explode against the ceiling, filling the room with bright colours and explosions as they fizzed around the students who cheered for the twins.

(y/n) quickly stood up and watched with glee, looking around at the papers and rubbing her hands together.

Maybe it wouldn't hurt this time around...

She felt the crackles of her powers spread over her fingers, trailing down to the ground from her arms as they spread rush over the floor to the exam papers and make them fly up into the sky to burst into confetti. Draco watched with a smile seeing his girl having fun and using her powers without discomfort, walking up to her and hugging her from behind as they both enjoyed the show of Umbitch being chased by a firecracker dragon.

She screamed as she ran for her life, the dragon exploding and causing all her decrees to be shattered from the crackers, falling down around her in a mess of dust, glass and papers. "DOWN WITH UMBITCH!" (y/n) screams out, everyone cheering with her as the students all ran out of the Great Hall. "Let's go!" she grabs Draco's hand and pulls him out with the others, rushing to the courtyard to watch the twins fly out into the air as they continued to throw more crackers into the sky.

A giant 'W' glowed in the sky, everyone rushing out of the castle clapping and screaming in joy. "This one's for you our princess!" Fred and George call out, tipping their imaginary hats before they flew off into the sky.

"Ron, your brothers are fucking amazing!" (y/n) shakes the boy by his shoulders when the golden trio stand next to her, the Gryffindors looking at each other in shock that their best friend was talking to them again. They thought that she hated them, especially Harry, and decided not to disturb her anymore. So when she talked to them again, they couldn't help but all jump on her with a big hug. "Guys! Can't... breathe here!" she gasps out but smiles brightly knowing she got her friend's back again.

"So that's it then? Your brothers just dropped out of school?" (y/n) asks as Ron nods his head. "I'm not surprised that they have the guts to do that. I think they're better off this way. They can start their business now!" the four friends were sitting together in the Great Hall while having dinner, being back to their normal selves as the group of four weeks after the incident of the O.W.Ls charms exam. The golden trio was currently catching up their Hufflepuff friend with everything she missed, especially about Hagrids brother that he had living in the Dark Forest.

"His name is Grawp and he's an actual giant! Bigger than the trees in the dark forest!" Ron exclaims.

"I still can't believe Hagrid has a brother! And I thought he was giant already... Damn, imagine their parents..." the friends shudder at how daunting Hagrid's parents would be.

"Hey princess." the girl smiles shyly as Draco walks up to her with her, kissing her cheek sweetly and setting down her usual cup of tea.

"Hey." she whispers back, pecking his lips which made him smile. "Here." she passes him a note and he kisses the top of her head before walking away. A scowl instantly replaced the slytherins smile, sneering at the Gryffindors that were yet again getting close to his Puff. He hated that they were pulling her back into danger with their shenanigans but at the same time, he loved how happy she looked talking to them.

The platinum blonde-haired boy sat down with his friends, watching with adoration as his love huddled around the warm cup of tea with a smile of satisfaction on her face before he turned to read the letter she gave him.

Happy 17th birthday Draco!

I know you said to do the gift giving on Christmas but I couldn't wait. I made something for you that I wished I gave to you last Christmas but I hadn't finished making it so I'm showing it to you now!

Come to my bedroom later tonight.

P.S. I still can't believe Umbitch hasn't figured out that I yelled out her nickname during the Weasley incident!

Draco blushes at the little drawn heart at the end of (y/n)'s signature, a goofy lovesick smile on his face when he turns the note around to see a little smiley face next to his written name. "She's so cute..."

"Who's so cute?" Blaise tries to sneak a peak at the note but Draco quickly hides it in his pocket, making mental note to keep it with the other letters he kept from his Puff.

"It's nothing-"

"-ooo maybe a love letter from your girlfriend!" Marcus mocks, everyone else at the table snickering as the platinum blonde-haired boy rolls his eyes.

"At least I have a girlfriend and she's hot." Draco raises a brow, leaning back in his chair with a smirk. He would be lying if he didn't say he wasn't excited about his birthday gift, wondering what it is that his love made for him by hand. He would soon find out later tonight. If it came from her, he loves it already.
