Why are many people blind
To problems of minorities
They banish suff'ring from their mind
They pick the wrong authorities

A person dead because of skin
Because of things they can't control
To love this human is a sin
To hell with you and with your soul

A women killed by horny men
Because she didn't want to give
A women shamed as slut again
Because she gave, she gave to live

A child in pain and agony
A mother struggling to survive
She didn't pass the scrutiny
The child was forced to be alive

A teen is hanging from a tree
Young adults jumping everywhere
They feel they weren't meant to be
Depression simply doesn't care

Homelessness and poverty
The poor are not to blame for that
Low wage, high debts, no property
The stocks are rising, eyes are mat

A human suffering in pain
But hospital is closed today
Health insurances - insane
Who needs a treatment anyway

Problems of the lost, the voiceless
Problems aiding privilege
Humans left alone and choiceless
Why is this the average

Conspicuous is that in the night
When standing in a light bulb's arc
You only see what's touched by light
You do not see what's in the dark
