So I never, never know what I'll hear
And I always, always wait for a plottwist
But one day the story will just disappear

To listen to something that's outright unique
But I can't keep waiting to witness a plottwist
Because I won't find what I ne'er even seek

I find myself sometimes just listening closely
And not at all waiting for something to shift
Enjoying the moment, just dreaming, and mostly
Accepting the story not as load, but as gift

My plottwist will come when I'm ready and willing
And once I start seeking I'm half the way there
But even a uniform story is thrilling
'Cause change for the better is utterly rare
