Humankind knows
Nothing 'bout shadows

Humankind dreams
Of deathrays and sunbeams
Seeing the galaxy
Winning the race

Humankind dies
More rapid than mayflies
A gasp of infinity
Death for eternity

Humankind braves
And never behaves
Won't perish, won't stop
And creep to the top

The universe is
It's void and abyss
It's lethal and fell
A literal hell

And humankind dares
With rockets and prayers
It's mortal and airy
It's reckless and scary

Inquisitiveness
That's driving us crazy
And drawing us out there
Into the abyss

Inquisitiveness
Unceasing and hazy
We're dreaming of somewhere
And hunting our bliss
