A.N : The name Nerida is the Greek word for Nymph.

And Neri is derived from the word Nero which means black in Italian.

Neri is used to describe black hair so Neri Nerida means...The black haired nymph.

Kinn's P.O.V:

I was taking a walk at the beach shore by myself since Porsche said that he was going to swim.

And even though I insisted on accompanying him he refused saying that I was being way too clingy.

I ruffled my hair in frustration.

What if he was forcing himself like before?

I stopped dead in my tracks when that thought hit me.

Was he forcing himself?

Oh my god...Did I screw up again?

I sat down on the sand and hugged my knees.

If Porsche was forcing himself to like me then I'm still not forgiven right?

But then my mind went back to that night we cried in each other's arms and asked each other for forgiveness.

He said that he loved me so that counts as something right?

Wait...He knows how to fake his emotions...Was that even real?

No...Stop thinking like that you stupid piece of shit these thoughts were what made you screw up in the first place.

Of course Porsche was being true that night.

The wind started blowing heavily causing me to frown in confusion.

A storm?

I heard someone crying for help so I looked at the water.

I saw a small hand flailing wildly through the water.

Then a head emerged before it submerged under water again.

OH SHIT.

I took off my shirt and ran into the water immediately.

Porsche's P.O.V:

I got out of the water when the wind started blowing heavily.

Maybe a storm is coming.

I should find Kinn and the others so we can go back to the house.

I went over to our umbrella and saw Pete sleeping as Vegas fed baby Venice some yogurt.

Kim and Porchay were playing cards.

Wait...What the...Where the fuck did Kinn go?

"Hey...Did you guys see Kinn?" I asked.

"He was walking on the shore just now" Vegas said.

"I just got out of the water I didn't see him" I said.

"Maybe he went to the house already...We should go too it's going to rain soon" Kim said.

I nodded in agreement and we started packing our stuff.

But then I heard loud cries.

It sounded like someone was calling for help.

I whipped my head to the direction of the water immediately because the voice that asked for help was familiar.

"SHIYA" I yelled.

Kim's eyes widened when he saw what I saw.

He immediately started unbuttoning his shirt.

"What the hell are you doing?" Porchay asked panicking.

"Kinn doesn't know how to swim" Kim said.

"HUH?" I yelled in panic.

Then remembered that whenever we went for a swim together he always stayed in the shallows.

I ran over to the water immediately without even taking off my shirt.

I swam over to him as fast as I could while the air moved the water.

He was holding on to an unconscious little girl but he wasn't in a better condition himself.

I reached my hand to him and he almost grabbed it but the water moved again and his head submerged briefly then he resurfaced again.

I dove under the water when the water moved again and managed to stop moving.

I resurfaced again when the air current passed and grabbed Kinn's hand then pulled him closer.

"Don't let go of her" I said.

He nodded hurriedly.

"We should dive...The underwater won't move because it's heavy" I said.

The air current wasn't that strong yet.

"What about her? She'll die at this rate" Kinn said.

I looked around the water for anything that might help.

I found her floating boat.

She must have fell off.

I have to get it.

"Where are you going?" Kinn asked as soon as I let go of his hand.

I ignored him and started swimming to get the floating boat.

I finally managed to grab it but a strong wave approached by the time I made my way back to Kinn and the girl.

I resurfaced.

"KINN...KINN" I screamed.

He resurfaced while still holding on to the girl.

Kim and Vegas approached us.

Kim took the girl and Vegas helped me with Kinn as he clung to the floating boat.

We all clung to the boat as Kim put the unconscious little girl on top of it.

"Pete called a safe boat...They should come any minute now" Kim said.

I nodded.

I looked at the girl who didn't look older then two and sighed heavily in an attempt to calm my raging anger down.

I mean...WHO THE FUCK LEAVES A CHILD UNSUPERVISED TO THAT EXTENT? WHAT THE FUCK? ARE THEY SENDING HER OFF TO DEATH? THE AUDACITY OF THESE MOTHER FUCKERS.

"Was she alone?" I asked Kinn.

He nodded.

I pursed my lips into a thin line and put my hand on her nose to check her breathing.

It was still there but it was weak.

She was also freezing.

The boat arrived and took us all in.

"Are you guys alright?" The life guard asked.

I handed the girl to him.

"Just save her" I snapped.

The life guard yelped in surprise but nodded.

The boat took us back to the shore as the life guard worked on the girl.

He said that the first aid was working but she needs to be taken to a hospital.

So we took her to a hospital obviously.

Vegas and Kim went to the house and we stayed behind at the hospital because I insisted to have a word with her parents.

A woman arrived and ran over to us.

"My daughter...What happened to my daughter" The woman asked.

"Your daughter? YOUR DAUGHTER? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?" I snapped.

"Porsche...Calm down" Kinn said trying to hold me back.

I noticed that she had bruises on her face and arms.

"You saved her right? Thank you...Oh my god thank you so much" She said.

I frowned in confusion but I still didn't buy it.

"Lady...I don't think this will..." I started.

"I can't take care of her...I know...My condition doesn't allow it" She said cutting me off.

"What the..." I tried again.

"She was born out of wedlock...I actually planned on..." She started.

I grabbed the woman's collar causing her to flinch.

"Don't tell me that you were planning on killing her" I said.

"Porsche" Kinn said again and tried to loosen my grip on her.

"YOU DISGUSTING BITCH...HOW COULD YOU? WHAT DOES SHE HAVE TO DO WITH YOUR MISTAKE?" I yelled angrily.

I could no longer keep my anger in check as I raised my fist to punch her.

"PORSCHE" Kinn yelled.

Then pushed me away from her before I could punch her.

"I'm taking her...If you don't want her then I do" I said.

The woman pursed her lips into a thin line and nodded slowly.

I went to see the doctor to ask him for details.

"How is she?" I asked.

The doctor smiled and nodded.

"She's lucky...The first aid she received kept her alive" He said.

I nodded and smiled at Kinn.

Kinn's P.O.V:

I smiled awkwardly as I watched Porsche talking to the doctor about that little girl.

Then he followed the doctor into the room the girl was kept in.

I knew what was coming next because he didn't seem to be joking when he said he was taking her in.

Oh my god...

But on the other hand I was also relieved that I found her just in time.

If I hadn't she would have probably died.

I turned to the woman.

"I'm sorry about my boyfriend's behaviour...He tends to lose it when he's angry...But I'm with him...You shouldn't have done such a thing" I said.

The woman didn't say anything.

The bruises on her face indicated that she must be going through severe abuse.

And she didn't look that healthy.

"You're right...I'm useless" She said.

My eyes widened in shock at what happened next.

The woman took out a knife and slit her own throat before I could go to her.

"SHIYA" I screamed.

A doctor rushed over but it was too late.

The young woman died.

Porsche rushed out of the room to see what happened.

But I covered his eyes immediately when I remembered that his mother went through something similar.

"What happened?" He asked as he tried to remove my hand.

"We'll take care of her together Porsche...You don't have to worry" I said trying to distract him.

Then walked him back into the room while still not moving my hand away from his eyes.

The girl turned out to be two years old.

She was malnourished so she looked smaller then her actual age but she was stubborn because she clung on to life.

She also had bruises on her face and neck and her head was wrapped in bandage.

"The doctor said that she might not remember anything about her two years" Porsche said.

Then turned to me.

"Is that really what you want?" I asked.

He nodded.

"I won't have it any other way Kinn" He said.

I pursed my lips into a thin line and nodded.

He broke into a smile.

"I have a perfect name for her" He said.

I nodded to show that I was listening.

"Nerida" He said smiling.

I smiled at the name he picked.

"It's good" I said.

"You pick the nickname" He said.

"Neri" I said.

Neri Nerida Theerapanyakul...Hmmm... Perfect.

I took her hand in mine.

"Welcome to the family...Neri" I said smiling.
