Cool and calm with a burning desire
Cold and distant yet lights up the fire
Together forever but still apart
That one light of hope into the dark

I wonder what they are, the Sun and the Moon
Were they meant to be apart, or will they meet soon
Are they star-crossed lovers, or rivals till death
Are they made to be like this, or there's something beneath

I think I'll keep wondering, what they are
Will they ever meet, or always stay afar
Will they learn to love, and be each others' save or
Will they be rivals, and take the word to their grave

I wrote this poem recently during the summer holidays. This poem was written while I was wondering about the sun and the moon. How they are opposites yet similar. How they have many differences and similarities at the same time. They really are something to wonder about.
