Friends and Flatterers
What people say
Flatterers are fake friends
They shouldn't stay

Flatterers are bad
Flatterers don't help
They make us sad
They make us yelp

Why differentiate
When all can be friends
The whole world together
Our unity without ends

There are no flatterers
We are all friends
It is just in time of grief
We know our true friends

I wrote this when I was 12. This poem was written after I read the poem 'Friends and Flatterers' by Williams Shakespeare.

I don't believe in flatterers. Just like the quote mentioned above, "We have three types of friends in Life: Friends for a reason, Friends for a season, and Friends for life..." Few befriend us for an aim, few just for some time, and even fewer than few (i.e., if we are lucky), stay with us for a lifetime.

And the second quote basically means the same thing. How people leave when we need them. But the one's who stay when we need them the most, are our true friends.
