"Don't worry my love, I'll be with you forever"

☆☆☆

YEAR 1938

A girl wearing a long off white coloured gown with light pink borders waited in her balcony with a light gloss on her lips and a faint blush on her beautiful cheeks. Her wavy brunette hair fell comfortably on her back and sides as she leaned on the railing, her dear like mesmerising eyes on the road searching for a particular thing... Rather person.

Just then she heard the neighing of a horse and her face lit up with a knowing smile. It was his horse. A chocolate brown coloured horse with the mane as shiny as silk and some white patches like the marks on the enchanted moon. And on top of it, it was him. Wearing a caramel coloured hat with a cheeky grin on his handsome face.

"Taeyong!" the girl squealed from her balcony. The afternoon heat didn't seem to bother either of them.

"Was my girl missing me that much?" the said boy - Taeyong chuckled and tilted his head upwards towards the charming girl as she blushed and hid her face in her hands.

"Aww, don't be shy from me." Taeyong teased from downstairs as she giggled and shouted back. "I'm coming! Catch me!" and before even a minute, she lifted up her long dress skirt and jumped from the second floor of her house, but she had no fear as Taeyong was quick enough to direct his horse in a position where he could catch her bridal style.

"Ay my girl." he chuckled as she made herself comfortable in front of him, sitting sideways so her dress doesn't become an obstacle and they headed to their favourite spot. The daffodil hills.

Y/N was the daughter of the Town's richest merchant who exported and imported textiles. They had a high status in the society and she was their only daughter. The family's princess. The pampered child. While, Taeyong used to work in the horse farm, teaching horse riding and feeding them fodder or doing other menial jobs. They just fell in love... There was nothing that could be done. They were young teenagers crazy in love, forgetting about the rest of the world and finding their happiness in each other's arms.

But of course, the worst had to happen... Y/N's father did find out from the Town's people and now it was a question of their family prestige. The two lovers were broken apart from each other and the merchant went to the extent of charging Taeyong with wrong charges and putting him to the cell.

No way in hell could Y/N marry someone so menial. She cried a lot that day. She despised her father, she was ready to fight for her love but she was weak. She ran away from home crying on the road in front of the cell. She wanted him back. She couldn't live without him...

As she was crying in her own arms, she felt the shuffling of horse hooves. She looked up with tear glazed eyes and tear stained cheeks to see not Taeyong but his friend Jaehyun. He was mounted on a black horse and was smiling coyly at her. She was confused as to what was happening but then from behind him emerged a very known brown horse with white patches and on it was the love of her life smirking so sheepishly as if to say, "You thought you lost me?"

He was wearing her favourite yellow shirt with brown cheques. Jaehyun had helped Taeyong to escape from the cell.

"You guys should elope." Jaehyun suggested and Y/N got on her feet ready to flee away anywhere with Taeyong. She rushed towards Taeyong as the hugged each other finding heaven in each other.

But her father got to know... It was not so easy for those two star crossed lovers to elope. As the couple rode on the back of Taeyong's horse, Y/N prayed for them to be forever but as if her prayers were left unanswered, their way was blocked by her father.

"Y/N! Come with me right now!" he commanded. She clutched on to Taeyong's shirt tightly and shook her head. He held her hand as he shook his head with a challenging look in his eyes but this was not going to melt her father.

"I don't want to father. Please... I love him." Y/N was about to turn away but the words spoken by her father next shook her to the core.

"Then are you okay with your father being a beggar or killing himself?"

She turned around as her eyebrows knit up in confusion. What did he mean by that?

"Yes Y/N... Your father has gone bankrupt... The only way to save our family is for you to marry Sehun. If you marry him, I will get support in my business from his family again and it will prevent me from going bankrupt." he said as he lowered his eyes. "Now it's up to you..."

And that was all... That thing changed it all for them... She had to go. She couldn't be so cruel to her father who raised her up, and gave her so much love. Taeyong didn't let go of her hand, as his eyes begged for her to stay but she tore her eyes away and left his hand as she went away towards her fate without looking back, her heart clenching with every step she took away from her love.

On the day of the wedding, she blankly kept staring at herself in the mirror. She couldn't erase the memory of Taeyong from her head when she felt pebbles hitting her window. She went over to see Taeyong downstairs.

"What are you doing here?" she asked sternly even though, every cell of her body wanted to just run and hug him tightly.

"Come with me Y/N... I can't live without you." he said with sadness laced in his voice. It pained her heart. But there was nothing that could be done.

"No Taeyong. Go away." was all she said before she shut her window and turned away, holding back the tears in her eyes.

It had been 2 hours already and her father would walk in to take her down the aisle any moment when she heard the glass of her window break. She turned around in shock to see Jaehyun with blood shot eyes as if he had just cried a river.

"Are you happy now?" he croaked out. "Taeyong killed himself and it's all your fault!" he roared.

And for her... Her entire world crumbled apart. She gasped out loud as her eyes widened in shock. No... It couldn't be... She fell on her knees and before she could even speak, everything went black. She fainted.

When she opened her eyes, the guests were around her worried on what the matter is. Of course the wedding was postponed but she couldn't speak more. Her eyes remained wide like she was in a state of shock and her lips trembled like she wanted to shout but couldn't. Only her silent tears could indicate everyone that something had gone terribly wrong.

It was late night and already four days had passed since that day. She got up in the illuminating light coming from her lamp and took out a tiny blade from her drawer. No, she couldn't love without him. The guilt was eating her. The love of her life was dead and it was all her fault... So she slit her wrist as a smile came across her lips. This was so much more easier than breathing with the knowledge of Taeyong's suicide...

To be continued...

A/N : Just wanted to ask, did you like this?
