Requested : Kind of- I mean, many of you requested a Haechan oneshot but I don't specifically remember who and no genre or storyline was specified so I did what I liked. Hope you like it :)

Another year. Another year where I am left to celebrate my birthday alone. And the worst part about it is that I thought I'll get used to this. I shouldn't have had expectations but my fool of a heart still did and what did my so called friends do? Bailed on me in the last minute... Again.

We had made plans to go out and have a good time in the evening but when I called them to find out when they'll come to pick me up, one of them have me the excuse of being sick and the other told me she had some family issues. I was naive enough to believe them... Because three hours later when I finally thought of at least buying myself a cake, I saw them together going towards the movies. Wow... Jerk much?

So here I was. Staring at the clock and here the only ticking sound in the room as I waited for it to strick 12. For my pathetic birthday to end already. Sadly, forty five minutes was still left for that. I sighed and layed down flat on my back and closed my eyes trying to stop the tears from flowing down.

Don't cry Y/n... It's not worth it... You're strong—

My thoughts were interrupted by the ringing of my doorbell. I sat up with a frown settling on my face wondering who it would be, this late at night.

I licked my lips nervously as I stood up to get the door. To ensure safety first, I looked through the eye hole to be surprised by the sight of the person. Donghyuck?

I swung open the door, a faint blush coming across my cheeks. Donghyuck was my neighbour and my crush for two years now, but what was he doing here?

"Donghyuck...? Hi... May I help you?" I trailed off with a little smile.

Weirdly enough, something seemed off about him. His eyes looked darker than usual and a sheen of sweat was formed on his face and neck. "Hello Y/n. May I come in?" he asked softly giving me a soft smile taking me by surprise.

"Of course!" I exclaimed and stepped out of his way as he got in my apartment. I closed the door and after taking a deep breath turned to him.

"So... What have you been up to?" I asked for the sake of just striking a conversation. Even though we knew each other for a long time and were friends, he wasn't much of a sharer. He goofed a lot, sure, but he was always pretty reserved when it came to disclose something about himself. At one point I realised that if that carried on, he'd know about all the things about me while I'd still be in darkness about his personal life so I stopped sharing much of my private information as well. There were random hi and hellos or we also had lunch or movie nights together but we didn't know much about each other. Or so I thought.

Donghyuck shrugged and turned to me with a small smile dancing on his pink lips.  "Happy Birthday Y/n!" he said instead catching me off guard. Wait... I'm pretty sure I never told him that today was my birthday, then how did he know?

He wished out a small box from his pocket and opened it to show a beautiful bracelet in it. Not just beautiful... It was really... Enchanting. It had a big red rose on the black band of it, and a golden ornamental design, with... "Is that ruby?" I cocked my eyebrow at the small stone and he smiled. "May I put in on your wrist? I'm sure it will suit you a lot." he said making me hesitantly put forth my hand to him.

"Perfect." he said putting it on me. It did look very compelling almost making me blush harder. "It couldn't have suited on anyone any better." Donghyuck said proudly and stepped a little closer to stroke my cheek with his thumb making my breath hitch in my throat.

"Um... How did y-you know that today was my b-birthday...?" I asked trying to step away but instead of getting the hint he only stepped nearer to me, his eyes glued on mine.

"Tsk, easy Y/n," he paused with a chuckle and shook his head slowly. "I heard you making plans with your friends yesterday while returning to my apartment. You were pretty loud. So I figured, I'd say hi at night and give you a little present. So did you and your friends have fun?" he asked.

This drew out a long sigh from me and I lowered my eyes shaking my head slowly. I bit my lip and went to sit on my couch, him following after me. "No... They ditched me." I said softly feeling my eyes sting and well up yet again.

Donghyuck frowned and cupped my cheeks making me face him. "You're the only one who came... Thank you..." I whispered as a tear finally slipped down my eye and he gently smiled leaning his forehead on mine.

"Well... I'm glad I came," he continued speaking drawing me closer to himself. "Did you know how beautiful you look in this black dress you're wearing? I'm so happy you did not take it off because of those punks just leaving you because I think it was destiny, you deserved something much better, and it was destiny for me to see you in this breathtaking dress..." he said, his voice growing husky as he spoke, his eyes staring deeply into mine. Before I realised anything else, I felt my body being settled on his lap and my arms circled around his neck making a rush of blood coming to my cheeks. "Donghyuck—"

"Shhh..." he put a finger on my lips continuing to speak. His hand played with the strap of my dress on my shoulder before going lower to hold my waist firmly and pull me even closer so there was not even an inch of distance between us now. His eyes felt so hypnotising, like I was in a state of trance as he continued to speak his sweet words to me.

"This bracelet belonged in your hand. You just make red even sexier than its supposed to be. You know black and red is my favourite colour right?" he asked with a smirk making me nod. "Good girl..." he purred and suddenly I jerked myself away from him, standing up to my feet.

"Uh... I... Hyuck..." I trialed off blushing madly as my heart thundered in my chest. This feeling was so weird, whatever he was making me feel. I even forgot about all my pain and misery which I was feeling until he came. What was he doing to me? My feelings for him just sky rocketed as soon as he touched me and this felt dangerous...

"Close the curtains Y/n. I want to let you in on a secret about me." Donghyuck told me, his voice going an octave lower making chills run down my back.

I took a gulp of the lump formed in my throat and slowly walked to close the curtains of my window. That is when I noticed the moon. It looked bigger than usual with reddish hue to it. I must have forgotten that today was blood moon. As soon as I was done, I turned to Hyuck but a gasp left my lips when I saw him.

His eyes glowing scarlet and two little pointed canines peeking down his lower lip. "Ha... Haha! It's not Halloween—" I tried to laugh it off but he just speedily came up to. With inhumane speed and held me in his arms again. "I'm not playing cosplay Y/n. This is who I am." he said firmly as if to make me believe each and every word he just said.

"But..." I spoke with a shudder a million thoughts running through my head. "Are you really a... V-vampire?" I asked feeling an unknown tug towards him. As if my heart and my entire being just needed him.

He trialed his eyes down to my lips before looking back up at me and cupping my cheek, as I immediately leaned in to his touch. I wasn't feeling scared... Instead, I felt thrilled.

"I've had my eyes on you for so long Y/n..." he whispered to me. "I tried to control these feelings. After all, you're just a human... I tried to distance myself away from you and these... These feelings but I couldn't... I can't stay away from you anymore Y/n." he said with a pained look on his face as if confessing to that was giving him physical pain.

"Then don't." I blurted out.

A look of confusion crossed over his face, but before he could question me, I clutched on to his coolers and pulled him towards me. His lips crashed on mine as I closed my eyes, enjoying the feeling of our closeness, and his lips on mine. I had wanted this for so long. After overcoming the initial period of shock, I felt his hands snake around my waist and pulling me closer to his body as he started to kiss me back. It grew intense, as his tongue glided on my bottom lip, slightly nipping at it, and I opened my mouth to exhale a gasp giving him the leverage to enter his tongue in my mouth. I never felt so alive before.

My chest heaved up and down, in desperate need of oxygen once we pulled away from the kiss. My entire face was flushed red from the little activity we had and when I looked up at him, I could see a glint of playfulness in his eyes.

"You like it freaky huh?" He teased me making my cheeks burn but then his fingers lingered on the strap of my dress, brushing my hair away. "May I?" He whispered into my ear, biting my earlobe as I bit my lip. I had no idea what I was doing, but I slowly nodded giving him the permission.

In one swift movement, he dipped me in his arms, safely holding on to me, as his face lowered down on my exposed neck, fanning his warm breath making me feel weird tingles. "Before I do this... I want you to know something..." He trailed off making me tilt my head to his side and look at him. "I love you Y/n." He said loud and clear this time. Like he meant each and every word of it. For a good minute, I was so flustered that I didn't know how to answer to that, but then a shy smile took over and I said, "I love you too."

As if on cue, he craned my neck to the other side again, before slowly sinking his fangs, breaking my skin by puncturing two little holes in it. A hiss came from me and I had to bite my tongue in order to not cry out loud from the stinging pain, but after a while, it felt tolerable. He sucked and gulped on the dark red liquid from my vein, enjoying the sensation and taste of the warm substance he was feeding on. After a minute or so, he pulled away, scanning my neck which was littered with my fresh blood flowing down, making my body feel weak with nausea. He leaned in to lick my wound and the remaining blood away as his saliva started healing it. "You're so sweet Y/n." He said.

A weak smile came on my lips as my body fell limp on his strong and protective arms. "How do you turn me in to a vampire...?" I asked very softly before falling sleep and passing into my dream land.

A cute chuckle came from Donghyuck before he carried me bridal style and walked into my bedroom and laid me down on the mattress. He pulled the covers on top and got in himself as he held me close and cradled me against his chest. "That's a story for another time Princess." He said and kissed my forehead. "Happy Birthday Y/n. Good night." He said comfortingly lulling me to sleep.
