Elevator (Ellick)

Here is something I have been working on for a long time. Please don't steal my work, this has taken a loooooooong time. I DO NOT OWN NCIS OR ANY OF ITS CHARACTERS.

Ellie POV:

He packed up his stuff and left. Good! I used to love him, at least until he told me that he cheated on me with someone at work. He said that he had an affair with an NSA internal affairs officer because we have grown distant since I left the NSA. His exact words were, "Ellie... I want you to know that I love you. I had an affair with an internal affairs officer, but only because I feel like we have been growing apart ever since you left the NSA and joined NCIS."
I was outraged, so to that, I said, "First of all Jake, only my friends, family, and people I like are allowed to call me Ellie. If you call me anything it will be Eleanor. Second of all, we aren't working out anyway. It's over Jake, it's been over for a long time, we're just saying it out loud now." With that, I left and decided I would sleep at work.

That was about 4 years ago. I was reminded of it while thinking of Nick. I really like him, but what if someday we do start dating or something, and something like this happens.

Nick POV:

Ok, so what? I really like her. I mean what's not to like about her? She is smart, talented, a great agent, she has a great personality, and she is beautiful.

"Nick... Nick?" She is calling my name.

"Yeah, Ells?" I ask hoping she'll tell me how she feels about me if she feels anything.

"Your phone's ringing." That caught me off guard.

"Oh... um... yeah... thanks." It is just McGee, he doesn't want anything important. I think I will tell Ellie how I feel later. I guess I have to now based on the text I got from Gibbs.

Gibbs POV:

As I'm walking off of the elevator I see Torres staring at Bishop. Ugh... lovebirds. Why don't they just tell each other how they feel? 2 years ago when Ziva left for Paris she whispered, "Don't be a wuss, tell her how you feel. Don't make the same mistake I did." Nick has consulted me about this. He doesn't know what to do.

"Nick... Nick?" I hear Ellie say.

"Yeah, Ells?"

"Your phone's ringing." He looks a little disappointed when she says this. I wish Bishop was looking at him because she would've noticed immediately.

"Oh... um... yeah... thanks." I text him once he is off the phone. Tell her or I'll be a matchmaker. He looks up at me, sort of glaring. I get a text. You matchmaker? Really? I nod.

I think I'll send one to Ellie too. Tell him or I'll play matchmaker. Ha, I just played matchmaker without them knowing. I chuckle. "What's funny?" they ask at the same time. I check my phone real quick, still laughing. I get a text from Ellie. NOOOOO you won't. The next text says, Realy?!!? You as matchmaker... WOW. I look up.

"Gibbs? What's funny" Torres asks.

"You two. Tell each other how you feel." They hesitate.

"GO!" I point to the elevator. They both get up, look at each other, then me, then start walking. Finally!!! Tim and I have been waiting for this for 3 years. It was starting to get in the way of work. Whenever Torres would look away, Bishop would just take his place with the staring, and vice-versa.

Ellie POV:

I can't believe Gibbs would do this. We are in the elevator and Nick flips the switch that shuts down the elevator.

"Nick," "Ellie," we ay at the same time.

"You go first."

Nick POV:

"You go first," she says.

"Ok... Ellie, I don't know how to say this." I take a step closer to her, leaving only an inch between us. I bring my face close to hers. I kiss her, she is a little surprised, but she kisses back. After a minute I break the kiss and rest my forehead on hers. "I love you, Ellie."

Ellie POV:

"Ok... Ellie. I don't know how to say this." He steps closer with a little hesitation. He bows his head so his eyes aligned with mine. A second later, his lips are on mine. It startles me a little bit because I didn't expect him to feel this way about me. I kiss back. He breaks the kiss and rests his head on mine. "I love you, Ellie."

I hug him and whisper, "I love you too," in his ear.

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

"I have been waiting for you to say that ever since I first got to know you."

"I take that as a yes then?"

"Yes, Nick. I will be your girlfriend."

He kisses me again. I flip the switch to start the elevator. We get to the main floor, and we walk out of the elevator holding hands.
