Previously on NCIS Family

"Good news Ellie! We can take off the bandages now, and you should be able to see!" he says excitedly.

"Yay!"

"Keep your eyes closed while I take off the bandages. Okay?"

"Okay!" He takes off the bandages and I keep my eyes closed.

"You can open them now."

I open my eyes...

"I can see!!!!"

"Good!" Ziva says.

"But..."

"What's wrong Ellie?" the doctor asks.

"I can only see out of my right eye."

"That is to be expected because some eyes don't heal as fast as others."

"Oh okay!"

NCIS Theme

Ellie's POV:

"How long until I should be worried if I don't get full vision back?"

"Well, it should only take an hour, so if you don't have full vision by sundown we will have to run some tests."

"Ok, can I go see my brother?"

"Yeah. Go sit in that wheelchair," he points to a wheelchair in the corner.

"I'll be fine on my feet."

"Ok," the doctor says.

Turns out... I'm not fine on my feet. I immediately fall over, my legs not even working.

"My whole body hates me."

"Not true Ellie," Ziva says.

"Fine, I'll ride in the wheelchair. But only if I can push myself."

"Are you sure you're strong enough?" the doctor questions.

"I bet I can do more pull-ups than you, mister."

"How many?"

"35 on average but that isn't my most."

"Wow, that's more than a marine can do on average. How old did you say you are again?"

"I never said how old I am, but I'm 8. How many can you do?"

"1," he says embarrassed.

We get going and it turns out I can wheel faster than I or they can walk. I am going so much faster than them that they are jogging to keep up. I wonder how fast my family can go, Ziva's pull-up average is 32, Tony's is 34, Nick's is 35, Abby's is 1 since she is only 2, Tim's is 39, Abba's is 40, and Ima's is 10. These are just averages, not their most.

We get to Nick's room and he is just laying there talking to Tony.

"Hey B! Are you okay? I was really worried. Why are you in a wheelchair? Can you see? Can you walk?" He spits these questions out super fast.

"I'm fine. I am in a wheelchair because I can't walk. I can only see in one eye. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Do you like the cuts on our arms?"

"Yeah, they are sooooo cool!!!"

I wheel over to him and he hugs me.

"Давай, Элли, тебе пора вернуться в свою комнату," Ziva says. (Come on Ellie, it is time for you to go back to your room.) (Russian)

"Ой, но Зивааааааааааа. Я только добрался," I whine. (Oh, but Zivaaaaaaaaaaa. I just got here,) (Russian)

"Doctor? is it alright if Ellie stays with her brother a little longer?"

"How about we transfer her to this room so she can stay on that other bed there."

"Yaaaayyyyyy!!! Thank you! Спасибо! شكرا لك!"

"She said Thank you in Russian then Arabic," Ziva tells the doctor.

"Ok."

The doctor walks out of the room to get my stuff. He comes back with a heart monitor and some other stuff like a oxygen tube and a heart rate monitor. While he is setting stuff up I get a chance to look around the room. We are in a children's ward so the walls are painted a baby blue and there are decals of iron man and  a murial of the Avengers on the wall.

There are 2 hospital beds with nice Avengers blankets and pillows.

My other room had Disney Princesses. Who likes Princesses? Well... a lot of people, but I HATE them. I like this room better.

"Here you go!" the doctor says.

"Thanks."

I lay in bed and wait for him to leave.

"I'm glad you are okay bro," I say once the doctor leaves.

"Evet ben de." (Yeah, me too) (Turkish)

I just lay there and stare at him, glad he's not dead. I notice that Tony is staring at Ziva. They are best friends so that's not unusual, but I hope they are both okay.

Gibbs POV:

I go back into Interrogation.

"Have you heard of David Berkowitz, aka 'Son of Sam'?"

"Yes," he replies with a scowl on his face.

"Maybe you'll meet him."

"What do you mean?"

"We are sending you to Shawangunk Correctional Facility. That is where he is now."

"Where is that located?"

"Ulster County, New York."

"Great! Osman is in Colorado, Asa is in Kansas, Soraya is in Cuba, and I'm going to New York."

"Yep! Now that that is settled, I'll leave you be. Bye!"

I walk out of Interrogation and go into Observation. There is nobody in there but I stay to watch his body behavior and language for a minute. Then, I walk out of the NCIS building and head to the hospital.

When I  get there Ellie isn't in her room and neither is Ziva. The room is decorated with Disney Princess decals and paintings, Ellie hates those so they probably moved her to another room. I'm going to go check on Nick, then I will go and find her.

"Привет, Ник." (Hey Nick.) (Russian)

"Авва! Я скучал по тебе." (Abba! I missed you.)

"Я скучал по тебе тоже. О, Элли! Я пошел в твою комнату, а тебя там не было. Я думал, это из-за принцесс." (I missed you too. Oh Ellie! I went to your room and you weren't there. I thought it was because of the princesses.) (Russian)

I walk over and sit in a chair in the front of the room between where the beds would be if they were on the other side of the room, that way I can see them both.

"Честно говоря, это вроде как." (It sort of was to be honest.) (Russian)

"Get some sleep, maybe Ellie can be discharged tomorrow."

"I don't think I can Abba. If I can't fully see at sundown they will have to do some tests and I might have to go back into surgery," Ellie says sorrowfully.

"They said I might be able to be discharged in a couple of days if Ducky checks my wounds every couple of hours."

"That's good at least!" Tony says.

"It is sundown now Ellie," I say.

"Oh no. I still can't fully see."
