Writer 1: Let's take the Transformers canon... And stomp all over it, then put it together with lots of explosions, horrible acting, and product placement. We'll take the Transformers entirely out of character, and kill off all the good ones.

Bay: I LOVE IT

Writer 2: Won't the fanbase get mad?

Writer 1: It's got lots of explosions. Nobody will notice.

Bay: Oooh! What if we get Meghan Fox to act as a mechanic?

Writer 2: You're right. We'll put that on all the posters with an explosion behind it.

Bay: WE'LL MAKE MILLIONS
