Liam was sitting on Alex's stomach, kissing him deeply. He poked his tongue inside and licked the walls of his mouth. He had so much stress built up from work and needed to find someway to relieve it. The only way he knew was through physical contact. He pulled away and wiped his mouth. Alex smirked.
"Still wiping my kisses?"
Liam smiled and blushed. Then he undid his jacket and tossed it to the side.
"It's hot in here right? Why don't you take yours off too?"
"Alex took off his sweater and threw it ontop of Liam's jacket. Then he gasped and pulled out his phone.
"What?"
"I forgot about New Years!! And we're stuck in here! We gotta get out!"
Alex staggered to the door and started pounding.
"HELLO! IS ANYONE THERE?!"
Liam rolled his eyes and checked his phone. Then he started laughing.
"What's so funny?!"
"Hahaha, dude. It's 7:00pm There's no one here. Annie probably left early for New Years and my shift already ended."
"WHAT?! how is that funny!!"
"Cause of how freaked out you are!"
"I'm freaked out because we probably won't get out of here until tomorrow! I won't be able to celebrate New Years with you..."
"We could still celebrate New Years."
"How?"
Liam set up his phone and put on a public broadcaster for New Years.
"Wow look at everyone who turned up! They're all in the plaza too! We should be able to hear the fireworks."
Alex said hopefully.
"It just got cold in here...."
Liam said unhopefully, putting on his jacket. Alex laughed and put and arm around him, snuggling him close. Liam smirked.
"Just five more hours."
"FIVE MORE HOURS?!"
Alex fell backwards and groaned.
"Hey Alex~"
"What?!"
"You kind of interupted me earlier, when we were..."
Alex raised an eyebrow.
"About to fuck?"
Liam nodded.
"I don't know dude. I'm not in the mood anymore. And I don't think we should do it in here."
Liam shrugged.
"Fine I'll just do it myself."
Liam stood up and took off his shorts and underwear, so he was left in only his shirt. His hard boner sprung in the air. Alex blushed and tried to focus on the little phone tv. Alex ran to the discarded jacket that Liam was so desperately trying to get and started rummaging through it. He checked all the pockets until he found the small inhaler hidden within on of the inner jackets. He frantically rushed over to his friend and pumped it into his mouth. After several pumps Liam's breathing became normal again. Alex shook him slightly.
"You okay?! Why didn't you tell me you had- Liam?? LIAM!"
Liam's eyes slowly began to close as he fell into a state of unconsciousness, but he was still breathing. Thank squid. Alex sighed and dressed him. Then he put his head over his legs.
"I knew we shouldn't have done it. You idiot."

After awhile Liam's eyes slowly opened. He slowly sat up and looked around with half lidded eyes. Everything was blurry and his chest was aching. What bothered him the most was that he couldn't find Alex. He was about to call his name when he felt arms suddenly embrace him from behind.
"Liam! I was so worried. Never do something like that again."
Liam looked a little confused, but suddenly pushed Alex off of him and threw up on the floor.
"S-sorry..."
Alex sighed in relief.
"It's okay. I did this to you. But I promise I'll never hurt you like that again."
Alex held him close.
"I-I thought you wouldn't wake up. I was so afraid."
Liam frowned.
"Alex, I'm okay. You didn't do anything. I just couldn't catch my breath in this stuffed up box we're in. It wasn't your fault."
"Then we have to get you out of here!"
"I'm fine Alex! Stop freaking out!!"
"You're not fine! You just threw up all over the floor!"
Liam groaned angrily.
"I said I'm fine! None of this was your fault!"
Alex was taken aback at Liam's anger.
"I hate my dumb asthma! This is why I didn't tell you! Cause I knew you'd worry too much! Just like everyone else!"
"Liam I-"
"No! And I hate New Years! It's a cursed holiday! All that happens to me on New Years is pain and suffering! I just want this stupid day to be over! Then I'm going home!"
Alex frowned.
"home? As in...away?"
Liam hung his head. Alex looked away.
"I'm sorry Liam...I-"
He felt tears start to stream down his face.
"I wanted to replace your bad memories with amazing ones. Ones you'd never want to forget..."
He sniffled and wiped away some of his tears.
"But this whole day was a disaster. I can understand why'd you want to go. I was never there for you.."
Liam put a hand on his back.
"You're always there for me. I'm just never there for you. I'm sorry."
Alex smiled and wiped his face on his sleeve.
"I love you Liam. Please don't go."
Liam felt tears start to run down his face now. He moved closer.
"I won't Alex. I'm never leaving you. I love you too much."
"Thanks."
"...Alex."
"Hm?"
"How long was I unconscious?"
Alex looked at the time.
"Three hours. So there's only an hour left till midnight."
Liam laughed nervously.
"Wow...I can see why you were worried. Heheh..."
Alex rolled his eyes.
"All that matters now is that you're okay."
Liam nodded in agreement. They sat and watched the phone/tv for an hour. The squid sisters were performing along with other great musicians. Everyone looked like they were having an amazing time. But so were Alex and Liam. Even though they weren't in the crowd itself.
There was 20 seconds on the clock.
"Are you ready Liam?"
Liam blushed and nodded. The crowd began to chant.
10...9...8...7!
"I love you. Mi amor."
"I love you too. ma douce idiote."
3...2...1!
Alex grabbed Liam's shoulders and kissed him passionately. Liam smiled into the kiss and wrapped his arms around his boyfriends neck. They heard the booming fireworks and cheering crowd outside. Liam felt like they had their own fireworks that went off when their lips touched. They pulled away, smiling from ear to ear. Alex wrapped his arm around His lover, who snuggled into his chest.
"I'm never forgetting this."
"Same here."
"I love you."
They said simultaneously.

"Even if you taste like puke."
"Shut up."
