''You seem more irritated then normal.'' Branch teased pulling out his sword as Creek frowns.

''Heard you stole from my food supply at my camp, didn't momma tell you karma is a bitch?'' Asked Branch as he swung his sword at Creek.

''I don't know what you're talking about, and no my momma told me you have to do what you can to survive.'' Creek replied as their swords clashed. ''Too bad I don't have anything you want.'' Creek smirked.

Poppy found a small knife and cut the chain that was weak and a bit rusty and got free as she got the collar off and ran up to the deck hoping there was a small boat and she saw the pirates fighting and distracting as she ran, she fell and scrapped her knee, catching Branch and Creek's attention.

''Another time Branch.'' Creek said shoving Branch back and running over to Poppy.

Branch was faster and sprinted in front of Poppy. ''What's your hurry? Did I interrupt something?'' Branch grins his sword at Poppy neck.

Poppy grabbed the rope and tripped Creek as he got tangled in the rope and fell down below the deck, she got up ignoring the pain in her leg.

''Are you ok lass?'' Branch asked and looked at her leg running a finger on it as she winced.

''Yeah, I'm fine.'' She said pushing him away and standing up.

Branch was taken aback by this, most girls swooned over him, but this one just pushed him out of the way, and he wasn't going to take even though he liked it. ''And where are you going?'' He asked.

''Away.'' She shot at him getting into the small boat.

''I was held captive for 2 days I'm not in the mood.'' She snapped setting the sail.

Poppy chuckled. ''Last time I was asked on a ship I was chained up and forced to be married.'' She shivers at the thought.

Branch nodded and took off his shirt giving it to her to cover her body as she did. And she looked out knowing she couldn't make it to the mainland by herself. ''I will go as long as you take me to the mainland.'' She answered.

''Yes, I can do that, we are a week away from there we can take you back there or you could stay with me and the crew.'' He said lifting her chin.

Branch bowed slightly to Poppy. ''My apologies Ms. everyone treats her with respect and like a guest. Poppy this is Wani, she will show you to your room.' Branch said as Wani wrapped her arm around Poppy taking her to her room.

Meanwhile Branch was in his captain quarters thinking when there was a knock and in came John Dory and Floyd who looked at their baby brother. ''So, what are you going to do Branch?'' Asked John Dory.

Later Poppy made her way to the captain's quarters and saw it was empty, but the door was opened, and the rest of the crew was in the mess room. She walked in and looked around at all the books.

''You're welcome to read them if you want.'' Branch replied leaning in the doorway.

Poppy startled turning around fast backing up. 'He won't hurt me.' She told herself. ''Thanks, but I doubt it.'' She blushes noticing his, he was in a white peasant v cut shirt and brown shorts. ''You wanted to see me?''

''Please call me Branch. So how are you doing?'' He asked walking to her.

'''I'm fine thanks, not thrill to be on the ship but what do you want?'' She asked folding her arms frowning.

''I can't stand guys who hurt woman and had to get you away from there, let me look at your leg.'' He said as she sat in one of the chairs.

''Creek is no man and I had to do what he says or else... I was betrothed to him and he was taking me to where we could get married against my wishes.'' She replies and felt goosebumps as he holds her leg gently.

''Wait I don't want to be alone.'' She blushed.

''I could stay but the floor is so hard so we would have to share the bed.'' He said softly and deeply as he leans in and held her hand.
