Ethan's P.O.V

"What do you think will happen when your sister finds out about all this?" Victor growled as he was now pacing around the room. I shrugged, "To be honest, she might kill him herself," I admitted.

He stopped in his steps and turned to look at me with amusement. "Not the time to joke around, Ethan. I'm serious," he spoke in a firm tone.

I nodded, "I know. I am serious. First, when she finds out about you still being alive, she would most likely flip out. Once you explain your reason, she might be understanding. When you tell her the truth about Kai and Liam, she might go on full rage. Especially with Kai. She might kill him for what he put her through," I explained.

He slowly processed what I said. "Doesn't sound all that bad but I doubt you she will kill him. She's too kind and innocent," he spoke with a smile as he thought about her. I couldn't help but smile. I knew deep down he was hurt and still loved and care for her.

The necklace he gave me was a way he kept in contact with me. It had a flash drive to where I could access him and stay off the grids. It was hard not to tell Freya Victor was still alive. I knew she was still hurting till this day. Especially her reaction when she saw him getting into the car earlier. I quickly had texted Victor that Freya had seen him so he quickly got into the car and one of his guys switched the seat to pretend he was 'Victor'.

I am so sorry, Freya.

"Don't underestimate her," I spoke as I stood up. "She's still pretty damaged about your death. You should of seem the look on her face went she saw you earlier. She still loves you Vic and she hasn't even taken off the bracelet yet," I mentioned to him.

A warm smile grew on his face, "Really?" he asked.

I nodded.

"And you really think she will rage that much if she found out everything?" he asked with his eyebrow raised.

I nodded again, "Defenilty. I came home late last night and she almost killed me when I blew her off. The whole place started to shake," I shrieked causing him to chuckle.

"I told you not to ignore her call," he warned.

"Yeah, yeah. Also, when I came home yesterday, I walked in and saw she was beaten up. It looked like someone jumped her last at night when she was alone. I hacked into the nearby security cameras and trailed her back up to a park. After some moment, she was attached and the guy who attacked her had powers. It looked to be some power over air. I saw her try to freeze him in place but he didn't. He had shifted the matter of air to his ability. I have a hunch that the guy is Liam," I informed him.

I watched as he studied me for a minute as his fist was tightened by his side. "You sure about this haunch?" he questioned me.

"Positive. Think about it, she gets attacked last night and Liam shows up today and if he's related to Kai by blood as it says," I pointed to the paper, "then he's got some sort of power like his brother."

Victor pulled out his phone and typed something in before shoving it back in his pocket. "Right, well we need more proof. I took a sample of the contacts that you made for Kai to cover up his lightning eyes and kind of modified it," he spoke as he walked towards a door.

I trailed behind him as he walked into the room. He walked over to his desk and picked up a small white box. He then held it in his hand and opened it revealing the contacts in some sort of liquid.

"Seems normal," I mumbled.

"Good. I've installed a tiny camera into it. You can't see it or feel it. I've tested it out and it works fine. We might be able to catch what he plans on doing along with Liam's powers," he spoke before covering back the box.

"Not bad," I commented, "But what about -"

"Hearing, I've got it all planned out. This little sticker is a listening device. Simply peel the back off and sick it on him. It' smaller than a pea so be careful you lose it," he spoke as he was demonstrating how to stick it. The outside looked soft and tan like the complexion of Kai so it wasn't noticeable.

I nodded, "Got to hand it to you, you know what you're doing," I admitted. He chuckled before leaning on his desk. "I try. I just want her safe. When I know everything is good, I'll show myself to her. For now, you should head home and I'll see you tomorrow," he spoke handing me the contacts and hearing sticker.

"I know you want to wait until everything dies down and until it's safe but what if that's the wrong time? I know you care a lot for her and you're afraid she might reject you based on what you did, but she wouldn't. She might be angry but she wouldn't reject you," I spoke as I took the things from him and shoved it into my hoodie pocket.

He let out a sigh, "I know, kid," he mumbled.

We said our goodbyes before the driver drove me back home. Throughout the ride, I couldn't help but wonder why Liam was here and what he and Kai were planning. Part of me knew it had to do with Freya but I just didn't know what. For now, I was supposed to stay low and keep a look out on Freya.

Sister, I'm sorry but our fight for life has just started...again.

Freya POV

I laid back on my bed on my stomach as I browsed through my laptop, watching some clips of The Originals. Nicklaus was currently talking to Caroline about his deeds as a father. He had insisted that his daughter doesn't need him and that he'll turn out to be like his father which I call bullshit on.

I thin Nicklaus would be a wonderful father despite the vile choices he had made in the past. He always fought for his family and what he thought was right. Sure he had his monstrous moment, but it was just his nature. I also secretly hoped him and Caroline finally hit it off.

"Hello?" a voice echoed through the house.

"In here!" I shouted from my from not bothering to get up. Footsteps echoed through the house and a figure emerged by my door. I looked to see it was Liam who was wearing a smirk. "Cute," he nodded as his eyes trailed behind me. I looked to see he was starting at my butt despite me wearing shorts.

I rolled my eyes, "What do you want?" I asked sitting up so I was now sitting Indian style. He shook his head as he walked over to me. "Nothing. Kai went to some girl's house so I decided to come back and no, I didn't break in. He gave me the key," he spoke holding up the key that was Kai's.

I found myself a bit pissed off at Kai. How could he just give his friend a key without my permission?

"What you watching?" he asked as he turned the laptop towards him. "The Originals," I mumbled as I turned the laptop back to me.

"Mind if I join?" he asked as he was now climbing onto the bed next to me.

I let out a groan, "What's the point of asking if you're just going to do it?" He shrugged, "Being part nice now move that ass over," he snickered. I rolled my eyes and moved over. We laid back between on the bedhead and propped the laptop down on a pillow before continuing the episode.

After a couple of minutes, Liam grabbed my hand and twirled around the bracelet on my wrist. "Who got you this?" he asked.

"Friend gave it to me," I lied not wanting to get into the subject. He hummed in response, "You sure because not any friend just gives a girl a bracelet with diamonds," he informed me. I hit pause on the show and let out a huff before turning to look at him.

"Liam, what are you doing here?" I asked.

His eyebrow rose, "What do you mean?" he asked.

"Well, you obviously don't want to watch the show and seem way to interested in me or should I say touchy. It's kind of creeping me out," I admitted.

He just shrugged, "I find you attractive. We should go on a date."

I stared at him for a second waiting for him to laugh or replied with another answer but he didn't. "No," I bluntly replied.

I'm guessing he didn't like my answer because he tensed up and his eyes narrowed at me. "Why not?" his voice grew deeper.

"Well, I barely know you and I don't really like you like that," I mumbled.

Within a swift move, he pulled me onto his lap and wrapped his arms around my waist. "Let go!" I demanded as I tried to free myself. "No," he growled with his lips pressed against my ear. I felt his ice cold breath hit the side of my cheek and I was engulfed with his cologne.

I went to move his hand but he pulled me back into his chest causing me to stop. "Tell me why you don't like me," he growled as he planted a kiss on the back of my neck.

I tired to wiggle out or elbow him but his grip was to firm. He just continued to plant kisses on my neck. "Liam, stop it! Please!" I shouted a bit louder. He ignored my plead.

"Liam, let go or you will regret it," I threatened about to use my powers. He just laughed at my threat. "I don't care," he spoke as he yanked my head back. "You know, if Kai had told me about you sooner, I would have had you long before," he whispered as his hand wrapped around my neck.

I felt my heart drop as nothing was phasing him. I didn't want to use my powers because Kai might say something then Liam would question it but if he thinks he can get further than this, he's got something coming to him.

"Freya!" a voice echoed through the house. I recognized it as Ethan's voice. I went to answer but Liam's hand covered my mouth. "I'll be back for you later," he snickered before planting a kiss on my cheek. He then released me and I scurred off his lap before running out my room.

As I walked to the living room, I saw Ethan looking around the room. Once he noticed me, I ran over to him and just hugged him. He quickly hugged me back. "What happened?" he asked in a soft tone.

"Nothing," I lied.

We pulled away from the hug and I looked down at Ethan who was glaring behind me. "What did you do to her?" he growled. I turned to see he was talking to Liam who was staring at him with a smirk.

"Relax yourself. Your sister and I had a small talk," he sent a wink at me causing me to roll my eyes. Ethan went to charge at him but I held him back. "No," I spoke in a firm tone.

Liam let out a chuckle, "I suggest you listen to her before you get hurt kid," Liam spoke before walking towards the door. "See you tomorrow cupcake," Liam snickered as he walked out the house.

Ethan pushed my arms off him and walked out the room disappearing into another room. After a few puzzling seconds, I walked around to see my door was open and inside was Ethan who was on my laptop.

"What are you doing?" I asked in confusion. He held his finger up indicating for me to wait. I did and I watched as he typed in some things on my laptop before stopping to stare at the screen.

"Mind if I join?" I could hear Liam's voice coming through my laptop. I walked over to Ethan and my eyes widened as he was watching Liam and I. "Ethan, you can't just hack -"

"Ethan way, I will find out," he mumbled as he continued to watch the feed.

I let out a sigh and walked over to my window not wanting to see what it had looked like in 3rd person. Ethan had hacked into my laptop and accessed the camera. I don't know how he got the clip considering my camera was never on but hey, power over tech right?

A minute or two rolled by and the video had stopped. I turned to see Ethan was typing in something else on his phone before shoving it into his pocket. "What did you just do?" I asked becoming curious. He shook his head and stood up, "Nothing. Don't worry about it. Are you okay?" he asked in a worried tone.

I nodded my head, "Yes."

"Alright. Also, I need you to tell me what happened yesterday in the park?" he asked.

My eyebrow rose, "How do you know I was in the park? I don't remember telling -"

"I hacked the cameras near by once you said a teleporting man jumped you. Now tell me what happened," he cut me off as he took a seat on the edge of my bed. He then gestured me to sit to which I did.

"Well," I started off, "I was sitting there quietly on my phone and I looked up to see a guy dressed in black just standing there. I asked him what he wants but he didn't answer. He then came charging at me and I tried to hold him in place but nothing happened. He tackled me and the only thing he said was 'Don't make this hard'. I fought him off me and made the ground under him open then closed it back before running home. I never saw his face," I explained.

Ethan slowly nodded as if he was mentally taking notes. He tapped something in mid-air and my eyebrow rose. A small smile just rose to his face, "Just recording your statement," he informed me. He was using his technology which I couldn't see. I slowly nodded not bothering to question it.

"Well, I think you should get some sleep. I need some as well," he spoke getting up. "True," I mumbled as I also stood up.

He gave me a smile before hugging me. I hugged him back with a chuckle. "Since when are you so huggable," I chirped.

"I just miss our sibling time. I know things have been hard for you especially taking care of me. Just know I love you," he spoke.

I kissed the top of his forehead, "Love you too and I would never trade taking care of you for the world."

We hugged for a bit more before him and I just went our own ways to bed. I closed my door before walking over to my window and opening it. I focused my powers calling Chip. Within seconds, I heard a buzz coming from in front of me. I looked to see Chip was settling down on the window edge.

"Did he go to the library?" I asked.

"Yes he did," he replied, "but I don't know for how long. I'm sorry but I can't tell time in human ways," he apologized.

I quickly shook my head, "You don't need to be sorry and thank you for trailing him. Did you see anything else?"

"No I didn't," he spoke.

I thanked him before he left. As I got into bed, I couldn't help but think maybe he was not lying about going to the library. Maybe I was too hard on him? Maybe I should cut him some slack but then again, he's still a child and I am his guardian. Rules are meant to be followed. I want the best for him.

Laying in my bed, I found myself becoming more restless but I was unable to sleep. Just tossing and turning in my bed, nothing happened. Letting out a groan, I got up from my bed and grabbed a pillow and my comforters before heading to the living room. I made myself comfortable on the couch and turned the television on.

As I flipped through the channel, I heard something scurried across the floor. I looked down to see it was Hazel. "What are you doing up?" I asked in a soft tone.

"I just got back from Elle's place. Can I stay with you?" he asked.

I patted the comforters with a smile, "Of course you can."

He hopped up on the couch and curled up into a ball on top of my chest. "That tired, huh?" I questioned as he let out a yawn. "Very. By the way, who's the guy that walked out the house half an hour ago," he asked.

"Kai's friend," I sigh, "I don't really like him and he might be around a lot."

"That sucks. We can talk about it if you want," he offered. I let out a small chuckle, "Thank you but no. Get your sleep," I spoke in a soft voice and I scratched his back. He let out a little chatter noise before falling asleep. I turned my attention back to the television and continued to watch SpongeBob SquarePants.

A few hours passed by and it was now almost 4 in the morning. It was quite impossible to sleep. I looked down at my chest to see Hazel was still sound asleep. I gently cupped him in the palm of my hands and stood up before heading to his closet room. I placed him in his bed and walked back into the living room to settled back in the couch. I laid down and buried myself in my covers as I was now watching Criminal Minds.

A couple of minutes passed by and I decided to grab some water or maybe something from the pantry. Walking into the kitchen, I open the pantry door to see a lot of snacks in there but nothing what I really wanted. Closing the door with a sigh, I grabbed a cold bottle of water from the fridge and walked back over to the couch.

This was going to be a long and restless day.

Hey, I know it's been a long time since I posted in this book and I am truly sorry about that. I've just been a bit lazy to write and haven't had much motivation when it comes to writing but I do promise to finish this book. I hope you guy like this chapter. Also, I rewrote some of the chapters because I felt like I jumped into Freya meeting Victor again too quickly and I don't want to rush that so here we are. I'll try to update weekly on this book. If it's been more than a week and I haven't updated, just hit me up or comment to update.
