It is important I start with this question because one time I was looking for a natural hair group on Wattpad and there was this white girl who was talking 'bout some "Doesn't everybody have natural hair?  If it grows out of your scalp, it's natural."

Natural hair is a cultural term typically associated with the black community.  The term was penned in order for girls with (in the beginning) kinky hair to love what God blessed them with--to love the crown on their head. 

The movement inspired girls with kinky hair to stop relaxing (permanently straightening) and embrace their natural coils, something deemed ugly or inferior to looser curls by society.  However, it is true that in some areas it is curly hair that is deemed ugly or inferior to STRAIGHT hair.  So, curly-haired girls found solace in the natural hair movement.

Thus, all the beautiful melaninated queens joined hands and spat on European ideals of beauty.
