Chapter Eight

"We should go on a date." He spoke humbly as you both sat in the cafeteria eating your meals. You looked up, eyes wide with your cheeks full as if you were a hamster storing food. "I-I mean, we don't have to if you don't want to. It's just a suggestion."

You hurriedly chewed your food, swallowed and washed it down with a gulp of the cold bottle of water.

"I'd love to-" you spoke all to fast and without thinking about what you were saying.

This time it was his turn to look up at you with wide eyes.

"Really?" He smiled happily.

You nodded and his smile only got wider before his phone rang.

He answered it, a few 'okays' and 'see you there' left him before he hung up. "I've got to go for a meeting now." He sighed softly, running a hand through his hair. "I'll see you later~"

With that he stood up and walked off, leaving you slightly pink cheeked and a grin on your face.

The rest of the day left you happy and cheery, even through the meetings that you had that seemed to drag.

"What's got you so happy?" Jungkook looked up at you from the other side of your desk with curious eyes as the permanent grin that tugged at your lips leaving you almost radiating with happiness.

"Nothing much~" You hummed quietly, fingers typing away furiously at the computer, desperate to finish this work and see Jimin-

"Jungkook." Jimin's voice broke the sound of keys typing and a pen scribbling away. "What are you doing?"

"Helping Miss Y/N out with her report, she asked me-"

"Go home early. It's too warm for overworking yourself." Jimin ordered and Jungkook looked at you questionably.

"Feel free." You smiled softly at the male. Jungkook looked between the two of you before closing the file, bowing and leaving the room.

Which left you and Jimin alone together.

"I hate how close to you he is." He huffed like a child, his lips turning pouty as he flopped down in the chair Jungkook was once sat at. "I've came in here to take a break, is that okay?"

You nodded and he smiled resting his head on your desk, his arm reaching out and taking ahold of one of your hands as he laced your fingers.

"You're mine, and nobody else's." He mumbled tiredly, and before you could get a chance to reply his eyes fell closed and his breathing became soft. You looked over at him with a soft smile.

This boy had taken your heart, and you weren't sure if you'd get it back in one piece. But you were willing to let him have it, after all, he'd done nothing but keep you safe.
