"Hey Natsu?" the festivities of the night had ended. You and your now husband laid on the grass outside of your home looking at the stars. Wendy had been gracious enough to take Happy home with her and Carla so you and Natsu could have some "alone time". In all honesty you had been scared to do anything with Natsu after what Marlowe had done to you.
"What is it (f/n)?" He turned his head slightly to look at you.
"Why is it that such bad things happen to good people?" You kept your eyes connected with the thousands of twinkling stars that stared right through you.
"Sometimes the terrible things that happen help shape us into who we are" his eyes hadn't left your face "Like if Igneel hadn't disappeared I wouldn't have joined Fairy tail or met You and the rest of the guild members. I wouldn't be who I am with out everyone. You know?"
You didn't respond. You let the boys words flow throughout your mind. Hitting every crevice and every thought. The silence had been welcome. It was peaceful and a good change of pace since everything that had happened the past year had been quite hectic. You felt Natsu slide his hand into yours. It may have been because he could control fire but you had always found your skin warming up at his touch. You had become accustomed to it and now you couldn't live with out it. It was as if the dragon slayer had been a drug and you were an addict.
"(F/n).. I love you. So much. It overwhelms me. It's so strong it makes my bones quake whenever I think about it. And I know it's going to take some time for you to heal. You may not ever completely heal. But I will be here to help you in anyway I can. No not just me. Everyone in Fairy tail will be there to help guide you."
The weight you had been carrying since you were a child had seemed to finally slip off your shoulders. For once you felt as if you could breathe without having to worry it would be the last time.
You could of swore when Natsu had wrapped you in his arms and held you tight that time had stopped and you and Natsu were the only two left on the planet.
