Natsu's Sandwich

A/N: Hello everyone! This is my first fanfic on Wattpad! I read so many stories on here and I wanted to try one myself! I haven't read all of them, so if my story is extremely similar to someone else's please let me know! I'm not the best writer or the best with grammar, so please excuse it. (If you can) I'll be quiet now...

Disclaimer: I do not own Fairy Tail or its characters. Hiro Mashima is one lucky bastard.

Natsu's Sandwich

One day in the Fairy Tail Guild Bar, Natsu sat somberly in his stool with a depressing aura surrounding him. Normally, he would be challenging Gray to a fight (and beating his ass), but he was not in the mood to do so. Not even his blue Exceed was with him-the cat was too busy fawning over Charle.

Our favorite Dragon Slayer is in this state because a certain Celestial Mage decided to go on a job without him. But could you blame her? Her rent was severely overdue, and Natsu would usually make them lose the full payment to pay for the damages made on a mission. He replayed their conversation in his head.

Natsu watched as the blonde beauty angrily packed her bag to prepare to leave in the morning. She stomped across her apartment, ignoring the pleas from the man who was trying to convince her to stay. "Lucy, I promise I won't break anything! Please don't go, at least without me!" Natsu tried, but Lucy zipped her bag. "I'm going with Levy, Lisanna, and Juvia to do a job in the morning. My decision is final." She gave him a quick goodbye kiss, dismissing the request from her mate for more kisses. She turned away from him and walked away to the door. All set and ready to go, the woman grabbed the door knob. "Goodnight, Natsu." She whispered.

He had no other choice, so ran to her and grabbed her legs with the intention of slowing her down. "Lushi~! Please stay with me~!" He sobbed into her legs. She tried to shake him off of her, but he held on to her with a firm grip. The celestial mage groaned in annoyance. "Get off!" She finally managed to shrug him off and Lucy-kicked him to the opposite side of the room. "Quit acting like a damn baby! I'm coming back in the evening, so man up, will you?!"

The Dragon Slayer held his throbbing head. "But Lucy--"

"Goodnight, Natsu!"

"L--"

"GOODNIGHT, NATSU!" She screamed furiously. The blonde shoved the door open and slammed it behind her with a resounding bang, leaving Natsu alone to desperately holler her name into the night sky.

Natsu sighed again. He couldn't help that he had abandonment issues; he showed that pathetic side of him to his mate and his mate only. Normally, she would give in to his pleas, but when it came to her rent, she showed no mercy.

Natsu wanted to go on an exciting mission with Lucy, but that opportunity was ripped away from him. A dejected moan escaped from his body as the aura grew larger.

Fairy Tail's ice mage, Gray Fullbuster, was not happy with Natsu's tense atmosphere ruining his peaceful drink. He slammed the drink down on the counter, unintentionally breaking the glass. The man abruptly stood up and yelled across the guild hall. "You damn pyro! Get your pathetic ass up and fight me!" He challenged for the second time that day while subconsciously unbuttoning his shirt.

Not a muscle was moved by the crestfallen man, which was a surprise to his frenemy. Last time he asked, he was weakly flipped off by the Dragon Slayer; it was at least a reaction. The raven-haired man began to angrily march over to the pink-haired man, but an angelic voice halted his actions. "Gray." Mirajane said, grabbing his attention. "Leave him alone. He's heartbroken because Lucy went on a mission without him." She stated with a knowing smile.

Gray turned his vicious smirk to Natsu. "Oh? She went on missions without you before. Why is it so different now?" He teased while plopping his bottom on to the chair next to him. "Isn't it obvious?" A drunken woman chimed in. "This is Lucy we're talking about. She probably didn't help him tame his Fire Dragon last night." She hicupped after taking another swig of alcohol. Cana nudged the petite and blushing Sky Dragon Slayer next to her. "You catch my drift?"

Cana, Mira, and Gray engaged into a teasing conversation amongst each other, making Natsu more irritated than depressed, which is somewhat a good thing. However, their voices together were making his head pound; although, it is abnormal considering the total amount of people in the guild chattering everyday. His eye twitched in annoyance. Oh, he wanted to punch Gray in the face so bad.

Natsu shot up from his seat. The sad vibe was now gone, replaced with anger. "SHUT UP!" He yelled, silencing the trio and the rest of the guild. Gray was going to retaliate, but his two partners in crime held him back. Out of guilt, the drunkie returned to drinking and talking to Wendy while Mira approached the pissed off Natsu. He didn't respond when Mira called his name, or poked his shoulder. "Natsu, I'm sorry. I know you miss her, but she will be back soon. She said so herself, didn't she?" She inquired. The man nodded his head and sunk into his seat.

Feeling his melancholic air surround him again, she tried to cheer him up. "Natsu, if it makes you feel better, I'll make you your favorite sandwich." Mira suggested, knowing one of the Dragon Slayer's favorite foods would raise his spirits. Natsu's head shooting towards her confirmed her theory. "Really?" He asked with excitement behind his eyes. The bar maid nodded and smiled warmly. "Sure, I'll get right on it!" She made her way to the kitchen, hearing Natsu's grateful 'thank you' behind her.

After a small moment, Mira exited the kitchen empty handed. She was wearing a small frown on her face as she walked to Natsu again. "I'm so sorry, but I ran out of the ingredients to make your favorite sandwich." Natsu looked like a kid who didn't get any presents on Christmas. "But I can run to the market and go get them." She assured the poor man. Natsu's eyes darted to the side, then a brilliant idea popped in his head.

"Or I can get them!" He volunteered jubilantly. The she-devil raised her eyebrow. "Are you sure?" She asked. The pinkette erased her doubts by vigorously nodding his head, supporting it with an excited 'yup!'

"Of course! After all, I'm the one who's eating it." He reasoned, gaining Mira's approval. "Alright, then. Do you know which ingredients to get?"

"By heart." He stated boldly and smirked proudly, making Mira giggle. "Okay, Natsu. I'm counting on you. I'll see you later!" She waved him off. He ran out, yelling behind his shoulder that he won't let her down.

At the Market

Natsu strolled down the aisle, pushing a shopping cart filled with the essentials. He was doing surprisingly well with not burning anything. The man was on task, concentrated on finding everything needed for creating his perfect sandwich. He turned a corner. All he needed to do now was to get some spices. His eyes immediately caught sight of the necessary ones and spilled them into the cart along with the rest of the ingredients.

"There, all done." He wiped his forehead with the back of his hand. "Now, I just have to bring these to register and I'll be done. At least, that's what Lucy said." The pink haired man pushed the cart towards the register area. Luckily, today was rather a slow day today, so the lines weren't long like the ones him and Lucy have to wait through on busier days.

A grouchy old man reluctantly greeted him with a sour expression on his face. Natsu paid no attention to the negative energy coming from the elderly person. The older man swiped his groceries and stuffed them in brown paper bags. Again, the younger man was passive until the bread was brutally smashed into the bag, capturing Natsu's undivided attention.

"Hey! What the hell, old man? Quit crushing my food! I need it to build my favorite sandwich!" Natsu fumed, but the rude senior couldn't care less. "Sorry kiddo, but that's not my problem." He growled and rang up the last item, purposely shoving it into the bag to piss Natsu off even further.

"Your total is 130,000,000 jewels." Natsu's eyes widened as his jaw dropped to the floor. "What!" He exclaimed. The grouchy man smirked evily. "I said, "130-"

"Bullshit! You're lying!" Natsu clenched his fists and gritted his teeth. The cashier shook his head and glared at the youth. "I'm not."

Natsu complained to the old man that it was way too expensive, to which the elderly denied. "Do you see all of this?" An aged finger pointed to the Dragon Slayer's mountain of grocery bags. "Don't be stupid, young boy. Either you can shut up and pay for these damn groceries or you can get out!" The old man snapped at the young man. Geez, is this bastard somehow related to Porlyusica?

The pinkette cursed under his breath and fished his pockets for money. Uh-oh, it's empty. Oh well, he wouldn't have had 130,000,000 jewels on him anyway. "Hello? Are you paying or not?" The man behind the cash register questioned impatiently.

Natsu would've panicked if the old man wasn't such a bastard. I don't have the money, but am I really going to just leave my perfect sandwich supplies here? Nope.

The fire mage swivled the cart around and proceeded to walk out of the market. "Oi! What the hell are you doing? Come back and pay for those!" Natsu scowled at the man. "Hell no."

"I can't have a young hooligan stealing from my shop! It will be bad for my business!"

"Sorry old bastard, but that's not my problem." Natsu repeated the senior's words from earlier with a smug smile. "If you don't come back here right now, I will get the authorities on you!" The old man tried to threaten, but this time, Natsu couldn't care less. The younger man shot a bird behind him as he casually walked out of the market with the unpaid groceries.

At the Fairy Tail Guild

The door was kicked open by a sandal clad foot. Everyone ceased their actions to watch their favorite fire mage make an entrance with a pile of groceries in a shopping cart.

"Hey everybody! I'm home!" Natsu announced proudly. The rest of the guild members shouted their greetings back to him, or gave excited waves to him. He scanned the guild hall with his eyes and was disappointed to see that his dear Celestial partner wasn't back yet. The Dragon Slayer sighed and pushed the cart towards the bar, where Mirajane waited patiently. Her eyes widened at the sight of the mountain of food that he (haven't) purchased. "Wow, Natsu! I'm impressed! This must have cost a fortune!" She praised his success. Natsu inwardly cringed at the last part of her dialouge. "Yup, all done and paid for by me." He scratched the side of his cheek with his finger.

"Well, I'll take these and get started on your sandwich right away." She took the cart from him and made a beeline for the kitchen. Natsu's voice stopped her. "Wait, Mira! Can I make the sandwich?" He asked, making Mira's eyebrows shoot upwards.

"Eh?" Natsu grinned at her reaction. "Yeah! I always wanted to see if I could make it myself. But I need you to supervise me in case I mess up." He explained to her. Mira considered the idea for a moment before she finally nodded her head in approval. "Let's get started then!" He ushered them and the food into the kitchen.

The two prepared the ingredients and Mira assisted Natsu's task by putting all the ingredients in order to make it easier for him. Once she explained the recipe to the determined mage, she let him have at it.

From the outside, you can hear a scream from inside of the kitchen and rapid footsteps. "Put it out, put it out!" The bar maid screamed. A loaf of bread was set on fire by Dragon Slayer. The man tried to blow away the flames, but unintentionally added more fuel to the fire. The woman rushed to the sink and filled a bucket of water. She ran to the ignited bread and threw the water over it, successfully extinguishing the fire.

All there was left was a burnt and soggy piece of bread with ashes surrounding it. Mira stood with her arms crossed, shooting him a disappointed look. "Next time, do not attempt to toast the bread with your magic, Natsu."

After the bread incident, Natsu was hell-bent on perfecting his sandwich. Sure, he made a few errors here and there, but he learned from his mistakes, impressing Mira greatly. "Okay, just add 3 dashes of the Fire Tabasco, and you will be done!" She said joyfully. Natsu's eyes sparkled at the news, causing him to make sure his last move will be absolutely precise. "Like this?" He asked, showing her the aftermath of his dashes. She nodded and smiled, clapping her hands.

He carefully placed the top half of the bread on the various meats, vegetables, spices, and sauces. It was complete. They could practically see a gold light radiating from the perfect sandwich. Natsu could feel the swell of pride in his chest as he smirked down at his creation.

"Great job." Mira complimented and patted his back. "Thanks. So what do we do now?" Natsu inquired. "Well, do you want to eat it now?"

Natsu pondered on her question and stared at his favorite sandwich. "No, it's too perfect to be eaten right away. Can you put it in the fridge for now? I need to see if Lucy is back yet."

"Sure, no problem. Goodnight, Natsu!" She saluted with her beautiful smile. The Dragon Slayer returned her grin. "Thank you Mira, and goodnight! See you tomorrow!" He ran out the kitchen into the now near empty guild hall. He caught no sight of Lucy. She would've went home by now, anyway. It's pitch black outside; the only sources of light are from the moon and the street lamps.

Natsu made his way out of the guild, almost tripping over the drunk bodies on the floor, one of them being Cana.

His feet followed the route to her apartment on Strawberry Street, picking up the pace as he neared closer. He jumped high to her windowsill. The man pulled her window open and stepped into her apartment. He hollered her name and looked around her room, only to find that she wasn't there.

No lights were turned on except the light that emitted from her bathroom door. Not caring about her privacy at the moment, he barged into the bathroom without any hesitation. He did not find the blonde, but he found a blue Exceed brushing his teeth with a fish patterned toothbrush.

"Hi, Natsu!" He greeted happily with foam in his mouth. "Hey Happy." The man said as he watched the cat spit out the foam and gargle on water. "Do you know where Lucy is?" He asked urgently.

"No, I was just going to ask you that." The fur ball turned off the water and placed his toothbrush in its proper place. "Natsu, do you know where Lucy is?" Happy asked, earning a deadpanned look from his partner.

Natsu ran a hand through his sakura pink locks. "She was supposed to return this evening, but she is still gone. Should we look for her?"

They walked out of the bathroom and headed towards her comfy bed. The cat waved his paw in dismissal. "No need to do that. Our Lucy is strong. Even if she gets into a pickle, she has Levy, Lisanna, and Juvia with her, right?" He said, lifting a weight off of Natsu's shoulders. The Dragon Slayer nodded and scratched the nape of his neck with a sheepish chuckle. "Yeah, you're right. I guess I was overreacting. Probably their train was delayed or something." Natsu situated himself on her mattress, falling asleep almost immediately.

"Aye." Happy whispered before drifting into dreamland.

With Lucy, Levy, Lisanna, and Juvia

A loud growl sounded from Lucy's stomach as the four Fairy Tail mages long exited the train station. She whined about her hunger for the past 20 minutes, and it started to annoy her guild mates, no matter how much they were in the same situation as her.

A groan escaped the petite Solid Script mage. "You know what, Lucy? I'm hungry, too." She said, giving in to her growling stomach. The other two women exchanged looks-they were hungry as well. The women trugged their way through the terrain, holding their stomachs as they were practically dying inside. Bright blue eyes widened as a fist slammed into an open palm. "Hey, I know where to get food! Since all the markets are basically closed at this time, we can go to the guild for a snack!" The youngest Strauss exclaimed, causing six other pairs of eyes to shoot in her direction in surprise.

"Juvia thinks that is a great idea, but she questions if it is okay or not." The water mage said. "Oh, don't worry about that. Mira-nee always stores food in the fridge for situations like this. She said to help yourself." Lisanna clapped her hands, gaining squeals of excitement. They all ran to the guild, dragging their luggage behind them like ragdolls.

As soon as they saw their logo, the mages almost cried in relief. The door was shoved open by the Fairy girls, instantly taking note of the passed out guild members on the floor. Lucy, Levy, Lisanna, and Juvia tiptoed over and around the bodies until they reached the beautiful kitchen. Dropping their bags and suitcases on the floor, the girls immediately attacked the cupboards and the fridge.

Juvia grabbed a plate of mashed potatoes, watching it predatorily as it heated up in the microwave. Levy stuffed a loaf of bread and cheese in her mouth, not caring as she just needed something to nibble on. Lisanna shoved cold pizza down her throat, unlike Juvia, who had the thought of warming her food. Lucy, oh Lucy, she grabbed a sandwich wrapped in tin foil, which was next to a slice of strawberry cake, off the top shelf and out of the refrigerator.

She teared it open, and the heavens sung to her as she laid her eyes upon the most beautiful sandwich she has ever seen in her life. Her hands shook as she brung the sandwich to her lips and took a bite.

It was so hot that it burned her tongue. She squeaked and grabbed a glass of milk to pacify the raging burn in her mouth. She picked out most of the peppers so she could have minimal difficulty eating the sandwich. She took another bite-it was too good. Her eyes closed in bliss as she moaned at the taste.

"Thank you, Mirajane." She praised her being at the moment. She finished the delicious food, licking her fingers to get a last squeeze out of her meal. Lucy helped herself to some pink lemonade, patting her stomach and watching her friends become as full as she was.

"Thanks, Lisanna. We would've starved to death if you didn't tell us about this. And thank you Mira~!" She whisper-shouted into the air, making the other girls in the kitchen laugh.

"Well, Juvia thanks her friends for the fun mission and wonderful food. She will be taking her leave now. Juvia also wishes a goodnight for everyone." She said. "Goodnight, Juvia!" The other mages chorused as they watched Juvia pick up her bag and leave.

"Welp, I'm going to hit the hay, too. Goodnight girls!" Lisanna waved her goodbyes.

"Should we go, too, Lu-chan?" A tired Levy asked, slighty wobbling back and forth. "Yes, I'll walk you home since you're tired." Lucy said, receiving a groggy 'thank you' from the smaller girl.

Levy and Lucy followed the path to the Fairy Hills dormitory. The Celestial mage almost had to drag the Solid Script mage home since she constantly fell asleep on her shoulder. She is small, but that doesn't mean she isn't heavy. Lucy groaned and just decided to carry Levy piggyback style.

The blonde thanked the heavens when she saw Gajeel as she was walking. She hollered his name, making him turn around in mild surprise. The gruff man first noticed the woman on the blonde's back and sped walked towards the pair.

"Is the Shrimp drunk or something, Bunny Girl?" He asked in concern despite his word choice. Lucy adjusted the bluenette on her aching back. "No, she just fell asleep. Can you please do me a favor and bring her to her dorm room?" The busty woman inquired. The Iron Dragon Slayer gave her an incredulous look. "Are you serious? You're going to send me into Fairy Hills, an all-girls dorm, where I can get caught by Titania?!"

"Yes."

"Hell no! That scarlet monster will beat my ass, especially if I'm carrying a seemingly drunk Levy!"

"But she's asleep."

"She doesn't look like it, and I don't think Titania will think so, either."

"...Well, Erza won't beat you up if she doesn't catch you."

He sighed, finally surrendering to her. "Fine, but I'm only doing this for Levy." Gajeel took Levy and her bag off of Lucy's back, relieving it from stress.

"Aww, you called her by her name." She cooed after popping her back bones into place. Gajeel threw the sleeping bluenette over his shoulder and turned away, concealing his slight flush. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Night, Bunny Girl." He began to draw near his potential resting place.

"Thank you and goodnight you two!" She shouted, beginning to walk back to her apartment. 'I'm beat. I better hurry if I don't want to pass out on the street. Hey, that rhymed.' She lightly chuckled to herself as her sore feet made contact with the ground.

After minutes of silent walking, her eyes started to droop and her yawns became more frequent. In an attempt to wake herself up, she slapped herself across the face. That only rewarded her with a stinging sensation on her cheek, to which she instantly regretted her actions.

"Ugh...I'm soooo tired.." She yawned for the nth time. Unbeknownst to her, she turned a corner and walked down a path that she never takes on her regular trip home. It was more forest-like, instead of the streetlights and buildings she was used to. Her blurry eyes scanned her surroundings, not recognizing the environment very well. However, it seemed familiar, so her sleep-deprived mind told her to continue her way.

To anyone else, the crickets in the forest would be an annoyance, but for Lucy, it was like a song that tried to lull her asleep. She closed her eyes, but needed to keep her body awake. But at the same time, it's important to keep her eyes open. If that doesn't happen, then she'll probably--

"Kya!" She squealed as her foot tripped over a wooden sign. The Celestial mage rubbed the bump on her head, the pain waking her up to an extent. She eyed the object she stumbled over. It was a sign that read "Natsu & Happy". Her eyes immediately shot to the cottage before her. 'Great, I'm at Natsu and Happy's house.' She thought bitterly, remembering the first time she arrived here.

Despite how she felt about the house, her feet guided her inside without her permission. Her hand reluctantly connected to the door knob and pushed the door open. To her surprise, his house was less of a garbage dump than she remembered.

She looked around, stepping over the junk that littered the floor. Chocolate eyes landed on his bed-well, his hammock. Her tiredness returned to hit her with full force. She tried, but she eventually gave in to her yawning and teary-blurred vision. The blonde dropped her bag on the floor, stretching her limbs almost painfully.

She released one final yawn before sweeping some junk off the hammock and crawling into it herself. As soon as her head met the 'bed', her lights went out.

In the Morning

It was another usual morning here at Fairy Tail. The people who slept on the floor woke up with pounding heads. They would always take some aspirin and ask Mirajane for breakfast afterwards. Sober members who actually went home would come back to start their day of eating, drinking, having fun (which are fights), and go on a mission of they choose to.

Once again, the Dragon Slayer came to Fairy Tail with that depressed aura that everyone hated, including himself. Lucy didn't come home yesterday night and he was more worried than ever.

Natsu tried to distract his mind by warning everyone in the guild. He said if anyone touches his favorite sandwich, that person will be punished. Everyone agreed that they won't touch his food, including Gray and Gajeel, who mumbled of not wanting to touch his nasty crap of a sandwich.

The pinkette descended back into his morose vibe each minute of not seeing his blonde enter the guild door with that beautiful smile of hers.

To make matters worse, the trio of Levy, Lisanna, and Juvia entered the guild, talking animately about something he couldn't care less about. He sprinted up to them, producing them to stop talking and focus all their gazes on him. "Where is Lucy?" He demanded more than questioned, panting heavily.

The women exchanged looks and shrugged their shoulders. "We don't know. Lucy didn't come home last night?" Lisanna asked with worry laced in her voice.

Natsu shook his head, catching the attention of everyone in the guild. Some gasped and whispered amongst themselves. The Dragon Slayer ignored them and continued to speak. "Which one of you seen Lucy last?" He pointed to each of the interrogated fairies.

"I did." Levy said, slightly raising her hand. "I was so tired, but the last thing I remember us doing was walking to Fairy Hills. Then the last thing I remember before going to sleep was Gajeel tucking me into bed." She said with a small blush.

"Yeah, like the Shrimp said, Bunny Girl was carrying Shrimp back to her apartment. She asked me to bring the Shrimp inside her place because she was close to passing out herself. Then we said 'goodnight' and parted ways." Gajeel added, supporting Levy while gnawing on some iron.

Natsu's eyes flickered back and forth between the couple. Before he could say a word, Erza spoke up with a glare towards the Iron Dragon Slayer. "You entered Fairy Hills?!" She yelled, summoning one of her swords.

"Oh shit." Gajeel whispered under his breath repeatedly, making a run for his life. Titania chased him out of the guild, exclaiming that she will make him pay.

Natsu crossed his arms in satisfaction of Gajeel's misery, then became serious again. "Should I start searching near Fairy Hills?" He asked, knowing that he'll search there anyway, with or without their permission. Mirajane nodded her head solemnly, understanding the gravity of the situation.

"Well, I'm going now. Let me know if you find her before I do!" He ran out of the guild, with the following of the rest of Team Natsu.

The trio and Mira watched them worriedly. "I hope they find her in time. What if she was kidnapped or something?" Levy shivered at the thought.

Before the other girls could assure the Solid Script mage, the Iron Dragon Slayer stepped in from his run. His breathing was heavy, but he was determined to sooth the bluenette's anxiety. "Have some faith in Bunny Girl. She's a strong bunny, so you don't have to worry about her, Shrimp." Gajeel petted her wild and adorable blue hair, giving her a proud smirk. She smiled up at him in return.

Mira had hearts in her eyes as she clasped her hands together.

Suddenly, the guild doors were open again to reveal the blonde they were looking for. "Sorry, I'm late!" She came in with her bag that she had yesterday. Mira took note of this detail. "Good morning Lucy. Where were you? I heard from Natsu that you didn't come home last night. He, Happy, Gray, and Erza are actually looking for you right now." She and the other fairies walked up to the girl and gave her a hug.

"I'm so sorry for worrying you all. I was going to walk home last night, but I was like a zombie. I actually crashed at Natsu and Happy's place. I was also going to walk home now, but the guild was closer and I wanted to let him and you all know that I'm okay." She explained, earning everyone's understanding. "Can I use the guild bathroom to take a shower? I really need one right now." She said sheepishly.

Mira nodded and the others allowed her to pass through. The bar maid hollered to Lucy that she'll supply towels, to which the Celestial Mage was grateful.

"Well, now that's taken care of, I'm going to call the rest of Team Natsu and let them know that Lucy is here." Mira made her way to the communication lacrima. Lisanna, Levy, and Juvia (and Gajeel) sat at a table to enjoy their breakfast together, relieved that their precious guildmate was safe. For now.

While Lucy enjoyed her shower, Mira called Erza to call off their search. A weight lifted off their shoulders when the four heard that their celestial teammate was showering at the guild. From the lacrima, the she-devil's ears caught the sound of Natsu yelling, "Happy, Max Speed!", then the voice of Erza yelling at them.

The Queen of Fairies quickly and quite harshly said her goodbyes to Mira as she ended the call, her breath ragged from chasing Gajeel and meeting up with her teammates, only to continue running all the way to her apartment building. "Natsu, Happy! Slow down!" She ran with Gray trailing behind her.

Not too long of a while later, a frantic Dragon Slayer busted through the opening of the guild with a blue Exceed on his back. "LUCY!" He jumped off Happy and landed on his feet. "Where is she?" He demanded an answer. He almost had a whiplash looking for the blonde, but he didn't see her. His nose caught the scent of her.

"She's in the bathroom taking a--"

"I know." He interrupted the smallest Strauss. Natsu ran to the bathroom, ignoring the yells of the girls telling him not to barge in her shower; however, Mira and Lisanna had no problem, for they wanted 33 NaLu babies.

"I've seen her naked countless times, so don't worry about it!" His statement made the guys whistle and the girls blush, except the Strauss sisters, who squealed excitedly.

He ripped open the door from its hinges and slammed the door behind him. Natsu was instantly greeted with fog and he saw a feminine figure in the mists of the fog. Frustrated with the obstacle blocking his vision, he blew away the fog like he was the Big Bad Wolf.

With the air now cleared, it revealed a surprised and wet Lucy holding a towel against her body. "Natsu?" She asked when she recognized him. "What are you doing here?" She yelled and threw a bar of soap at him. The soap collided with his forehead. "You're acting as if we haven't had sex." He said plainly, his statement making her mortified as a red shade appeared on her cheeks.

"Shut up! Get out!" Her words had the opposite effect on him. He walked towards her and enveloped her into a bear hug. "I missed you, Lucy." He whispered in her ear, making her return the hug with no hesitation. "I missed you, too. I'm sorry for kicking you the night before. And I'm sorry for leaving you alone like that."

"Apology not accepted." He whispered deviously, making the blonde pull away and stare at him with confusion in her eyes. "For the way you treated me...Let's say you will get Virgo-ed later." He crossed his arms, holding back a laugh.

She backed away from him. "Punishment? I said I'm sorry!" Her hands clutched the towel tighter to her body. He smirked and stepped closer to pull her in for an ardent kiss.

Lucy was breathless by the time he released her. "Whatever you say, weirdo. Just expect it to happen later. Love you." Those were his last words before he walked out of the bathroom, leaving the panting mess that was Lucy. Love you, too.

When Natsu closed the door behind him, he became face-to-face with a furious Erza. By instinct, he took a fearful step back, his back colliding with the door of the bathroom. He nervously smiled, beads of sweat running down his face. "H-Hi Erza..." He said in a rather high-pitched voice. His eyes drifted past her head, allowing him to see the unconcious Gajeel on the floor with a bump on his head not to far away from them.

Oh shit. I'm a goner..But what did I do wrong this time? He thought as the red haired swordsman stared him down with her arms crossed.

"Natsu."

"Aye...?"

"Did you eat my strawberry cake?"

"No."

"Are you lying?" She grabbed a fistful of his vest, making him cower even more in fear. "I swear, I didn't touch your food! Please don't hurt me!" He pleaded. Erza tightened her grip on his vest. "That is exactly what Gray said before he was punished accordingly." She pointed to the other mage on the floor; same situation as Gajeel, but Gray was on the other side of the guild.

"Where did you last have it?" He inquired, attempting to stall the red headed mage.

"In the refrigerator. Now it's gone." She stated with a more dramatic tone. If Natsu didn't know better, he could've sworn he saw a (dramatic) tear form in her eye. He scratched his head with his finger.

"Let's check it again. Maybe your eye missed it." He prayed that she would go along with his suggestion. Luckily for him, she released his collar, then led him into the kitchen.

They approached the gray ice box. "How is it possible that I missed it? My eyes never miss strawberry cake." She said to no one in particular. Natsu shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe you were trying to find an excuse to beat me and Gray up." He mumbled, but Erza heard it, giving him a well-earned glare.

Erza almost ripped open the fridge with the force she used. A brief breeze of cold air hit their legs. The reserved spot where Erza's cake would be placed was empty. "See? It's not there, or anywhere in this damn fridge." She grumbled. Natsu hummed in response.

He noticed something-a certain food of his was missing as well. Didn't Mira put my perfect sandwich in this fridge?

Oh no.

"Mira! Please come here! This is extremely important!" Natsu hollered to the bar maid. It didn't take long for the Satan Soul mage to come to their aid.

She wore a concerned expression on her face. "What is it?" She looked between the other two mages' troubled faces. Natsu pointed inside the refrigerator at the empty gap. "Our food is gone." He stated, with the support of a concurring Erza.

Mira's blue eye peeked inside the fridge, with no strawberry cake or perfect sandwich in sight.

She pulled away from the ice box, sighing in defeat. "I knew I put it in here last night. I even double-checked." She put a finger on her chin in thought. The Dragon Slayer glared at the spot where his favorite sandwich was supposed to be. He began to think.

What would a detective do in this situation? Oh, right! Look for clues. But what can I do? Sniff out a scent? It's not like I'm a dog or anyth-oh.

Natsu cursed himself for being so stupid...at least, his idea of stupid. Of course he can use his sensitive nose to sniff out the cheap bastard who murdered his perfect sandwich with his teeth. He slightly pushed past the two ex-rivals and began to sniff the fridge.

Several faint scents lingered on the door handle.

Sniff. Mira, of course.

Sniff. Erza, obviously.

Sniff. Me, duh.

Ugh. I'm starting to sound like that creep Ichiya.

Sniff. Gray, that ice bastard.

Sniff. Gajeel, that metal prick.

Sniff. Juvia.

Sniff. Lisanna.

Sniff. Maybe Levy?

Sniiiiiff. Lucy. Man, I love that weirdo.

Erza and Mira watched Natsu as he inhaled the scents on the door handle. The women exchanged curious glances and continued to eye the Dragon Slayer at work.

Natsu gathered his thoughts. So one or even two of them ate my sandwich, huh? I doubt Lucy would've ate it; after all, she was at my house last night, according to Mira. Hehe.

Out of all of those names, it could be narrowed down to two: the ice princess and the metal freak. I am so going to kick their asses!

Ow. All this thinking is making my head hurt like hell.

Mira decided to cut into his train of thought. "Natsu, are you okay? Did you figure something out?" The man rose to his feet. "Yeah. I don't know about you, Erza, but I have an idea who ate my sandwich." He ran out of the kitchen, leaving behind the two confused mages.

The ice mage was just enjoying a cold beer after waking up from the abuse of Erza Scarlet. He sat in peace, relaxing in his chair until a sandal clad foot collided with his face, making him crash into a table.

He knew exactly who kicked him. He jumped from the pile of broken wood, his shirt falling off, much to Juvia's delight.

"What the hell, flamebrain? What's your problem?" Gray said, clashing heads with an angry pink haired man. "You know what's my problem, you stupid stripper! First, you eat Erza's cake, then you eat my perfect sandwich?" The man yelled, not noticing the blonde that finally exited the bathroom with a new set of clothes.

"I knew it!" Erza yelled from the kitchen. Mira had a hard time holding her back from knocking out Gray again.

"I didn't eat Erza's cake and I told you already that I wouldn't eat your ugly sandwich!" The ice mage defended himself. Natsu punched him in the face and stomped over to the Iron Dragon Slayer nibbling on some iron.

"Before you say anything, I didn't touch your nasty shit. Fuck off, Salamander." The gruff mage who woke up not too long ago dismissed with a lazy attitude. This enraged the pinkette even more. Natsu threw a fist at Gajeel, starting a three-way fight between Gray, Gajeel, and himself.

Lucy walked over to the bar, where a happy Titania was eating a new piece of cake that Mira made her. "Mira, do you know what Natsu is talking about?" The Celestial Mage inquired, looking at the violent brawl between the three men.

"Yeah, when you were on the mission, Natsu made his favorite sandwich with my assitance. It was the most beautiful sandwich I have ever seen. He even made it better than me!" The bar maid said, making the both of them giggle. "He really made his favorite sandwich?" Lucy asked in disbelief. "Yup, but when we checked the fridge earlier, it was gone."

"You know how he is about his food." Mira gestured to the heated battle that destroyed chairs and tables. Lucy couldn't help but agree; however, the words 'sandwich' and 'beautiful' started to ring a bell...

Lucy gasped. Oh shit.

"Lu-chan!" Levy ran over to her, followed by Juvia and Lisanna. "Yes, Levy-Chan? What's wrong?"

"You know how we all went to the guild last night?" Lucy nodded her head. Mira's head tilted to the side. "You four came here last night?"

Lisanna answered for them. "Yes, Mira-nee. We were starving after our mission and all the stores were closed." After seeing that the Satan Soul mage caught on, the Solid Script mage continued. "I ate bread and cheese, Juvia ate mashed potatoes, and Lisanna ate pizza. Lu-chan, what did you eat?" The question came out hestitantly.

Swallowing some spit, Lucy mumbled her response. "A sandwich." The other fairies gasped. Strike one.

"U-Uh, maybe it could've been a different sandwich that you ate, right?" Mira asked, gaining some unsure agreements from the group. "Lucy, which shelf inside the fridge did you get the sandwich from?"

"The top shelf." Mira visibly cringed at her reply, making the blonde even more worried. Strike two. The bar maid gave her a nervous smile. "What did it look like?"

"It looked absolutely wonderful. It also had lots and lots of peppers." Lucy stuttered. Mira's smile dropped and was replaced by shock. Strike three, the woman's a goner. "Lucy! Do you know what this means?" The silverette grabbed her shoulders.

"Yes! I ate Natsu's undeniably delicious sandwich!" She admitted, louder than she should have. The guild became quiet, even the three idiots who were fighting for the past five to ten minutes.

Natsu, who heard Lucy's outburst loud and clear, let go of Gray's ear and Gajeel's hair. He turned to her with a scary look on his face. "It was you, Lucy?"

"I would run if I were you." The drunk brunette slurred from across the guild.

Taking Cana's advice, Lucy got up and ran out of the guild as fast as she could. Natsu ran after her with an evil smirk on his face.

"Should we go after them?" Wendy spoke up after a moment of silence.

"Nah." The whole guild chorused.

Natsu quickly dodged some people in his way and became hot on her heels.

The Celestial Mage didn't need to look back to know that Natsu was catching up to her. She tried desperately to speed up, seeing her apartment building in the distance. She let out a whimper and ran to her apartment.

Luckily, she had her keys on her. She grabbed her house key and hastily unlocked her door. Lucy locked it behind her and ran to her window to lock it, too. She panted heavily and looked out her window, now noticing that Natsu is nowhere to be seen.

She backed away from the window, only to bump into something or someone behind her. Two strong arms captured her, causing her to scream. A hand quickly covered her mouth. "Lucy." A voice she was all too familiar with whispered in her ear. "Why did you eat my perfect sandwich?"

He removed his hand from her mouth, waiting for an answer. "I'm sorry, I didn't know it was yours!" Lucy apologized, but Natsu didn't accept it. "You didn't answer my question. Why did you eat my sandwich, Lucy?" He pressed.

"I was hungry, okay?" Her cheeks turned into a light shade of pink. Natsu turned her around so her face was close to his. He gave her a sweet kiss on the lips, which led to a hot battle of the tongues.

His hands, which were on her waist, moved north and south to caress her soft and supple skin. Just to tease him, she guided his hands back to her waist without breaking the kiss. He tried again, but she placed them back on her waist, much to his displeasure. He whined in her mouth.

Every time he would try to touch her, she would put his hands back to their proper place. He broke off the kiss, only to see her grinning in amusement. "So, you wanna be like that after what you did, huh?" Natsu shoved her on the bed, making the woman squeal in surprise.

"You know, since you ate my sandwich, I should just eat you instead." His blunt words made her blush a thousand shades of red.

"But, that can wait for another time." She wouldn't admit it out loud, but she was disappointed to hear that.

He took off his vest and scarf. "Don't worry, I have an ache, so you could help me relieve it. Remember what I told you in the bathroom earlier?" He asked while crawling on the bed with her, causing her eyes to widen.

"No...NO!"

"Yes...YES!"

Lucy tried to escape, but Natsu held her down. "No, I don't want to do it!" She kicked her legs, only feeling air. "Yes. You left me, kicked me, made me worry, and ate my sandwich. You are going to do it, and you are going to like it!"

"No!

"Yes!"

"Noooooooo~!"

15 Minutes Later

"Lucy, that feels so good!" Natsu moaned.

"Oh God! Right there, Lucy!"

"Oh!"

"Harder!"

"Faster, Lucy!"

"Shit!"

"Oh shit!"

"Seriously, where did you learn how to do this?"

"Ahh!"

Lucy stopped her movements with a red face. "How long do I have to do this?"

"Until the time is up. Did I tell you to stop?"

She resumed her movements, making him moan in pleasure.

"Oh, Lucy! Don't stop!"

"Oh!"

"Oh God! This feels so good!"

"Lucy~!"

Her punishment? Massage Natsu's back for three hours.

"Can you massage my back after this?"

"Will we have sex afterwards?"

"No."

"Then there's your answer. Ah!"

The End.

A/N: And it's finished! Sorry if the ending (or the whole story) is unsatisfactory. Also, sorry if I caught you off guard with the rather sexual ending.

I would've split this into two parts, but I wanted to get this done!

I love reading comments! Good or bad!

Thank you for reading! Peace!
