Meeting My Soulmate

Allen was on cloud nine.

Everyone could tell that he was happy having his counterpart around. It was both amusing and infuriating. Very few 1ps accept their 2ps the way Alfred accepted Allen. Not only did he allow him to be near him whenever he wanted and let him show affection, but also returned said affections.

To many it seemed like more of a dream than a reality. However, for Allen it was a reality and he never passed the chance to brag about.

Allen had left Alfred go sleep in the hotel room while Allen went around the hotel to just chill out. The red haired man knew that his counterpart desperately needed sleep due to overworking himself.

Granted the blonde had already slept for like six hours, but still. He needs to get his rest. Allen knows that when he eventually goes back to his own world, that he won't be able to sleep or rest in any sort of way.

'Thanks to those damn 1ps' Allen thought as he walked into the common room of the hotel. He had already taken the finished plate to the kitchen so he was just going to chill out then go check on Alfred.

The red eyed man threw himself onto a nearby sofa, rather ungraciously. He was in a casual look that merely consisted of a muscle shirt and sweatpants. It didn't seem like the ideal attire for a hotel common room, but Allen didn't care.

He loved his body and was proud to show it off. 'Porkchop on the other hand is the exact opposite...' Allen sighed as that thought crossed his mind. Alfred was so insecure about himself and basically refused to wear any clothes that exposed skin.

It made the 2p nation so sad at times. His counterpart's body was perfect, every way of the word. Allen had rarely seen Alfred naked for a number of reasons. They have never been intimate with each other (at least not yet) so Allen doesn't have a clear view of his 1p's body.

Allen assumes that it would exactly like his, but with smoother muscles. The red haired man stared up at the ceiling as he thought about any solutions he could find to Alfred's insecurity.

He could try body worship. But he wasn't sure that he would be able to get Alfred naked for that. So Allen has to put a pin in that for now. Maybe he could have a bunch of different people tell him how beautiful he was.

That could work, but—

Allen was brought out of his thoughts by another person entering the room. Allen looked up and was greeted by the sight of his older brother Matt.

Allen grinned lazily at him. "'Sup, Maple Hockey?" He said, getting an eye roll from the Canadian for his troubles. "I told you not to call me that. How's Alfred?" Matt asked, sitting on the couch across from his little brother.

"He's fine, well as fine as he can be. He ate something, but other than that, he's been sleeping." Allen tells him. Matt was looking at Allen with outright and obvious jealousy. The maroon haired man couldn't help smirk. Back when they were little, Matt had always talked about his 1p.

How cute he was and how they would make such a great couple. Little did either of them know that Matt's 1p wanted nothing to do with them. Matt had been heartbroken and inconsolable for a long time.

Allen remembered watching Oliver try to comfort his older brother, but nothing seemed to work. This had terrified Allen beyond belief. If someone as great as Matt could be rejected, then Allen didn't have a damn prayer with his 1p.

However that all changed the day he met Alfred.

Allen was wandering around the forest near his house. His house, not his home. It hadn't felt like a home since Matt had been rejected by his 1p. All attention had been diverted to comforting Matt leaving Allen alone most days and nights.

So the young 2p decided to go on a walk to try and clear his head. He had been walking for so long that it was dark by the time he realized how long he had been gone.

"It's not like they're gonna miss me or whatever." Allen sighed as he looked up at the stars that had slowly begun to fill the sky. Matt had been going on and on about how he had lost his 1p before he had even had him. It was really starting to get on Allen's nerves.

No 1p had ever accepted their 2p as a part of themselves or in any other way. In fact, it was widely known that the 1ps despised the 2ps. They thought them to be some sort of changelings that meant to steal their position of a nation. They had been told this from birth, so Allen didn't get why Matt was overreacting.

Allen heard rustling in some nearby bushes which startled him. "Who's there?!" He yelled out, a strange feeling suddenly overcoming him. He drew the knife he always kept hidden in the hem of his pants, pointing it towards where he had heard the rustling come from.

More rustling came from the bushes as Allen readied himself with his knife.

"Hello?" A voice called out from the bushes. The voice sounded confused, but Allen didn't lower his weapon. "Come out where I can see you!" He ordered. His demand was met with someone emerging from the bushes.

Allen's breath caught in his throat.

The boy was around his age and looked identical to Allen in terms of features. However in terms of appearance, they were worlds apart.

This kid had golden blonde haired that looked soft to the touch. Sky blue eyes locked with Allen's own crimson ones and Allen was struck speechless. Those eyes were so kind looking and beautiful. The maroon haired boy never thought that he would ever call anything beautiful much less another person's eyes.

However, Allen couldn't help but compare their appearances to one another. It was almost as if they were the same person, just with different hair, eye color, and skin tone. Like they were opposites somehow.

"Hey!" Allen was pulled out of his thoughts by the blonde shaking his shoulder.

"Huh?" Allen blurted out, still a little speechless. "Do you know where I am? Something weird happened and now I'm here." The blonde said, looking confused by Allen. Like he couldn't quite figure out what or who Allen was.

Allen decided to answer his questions with a question of his own. "What's your name?" He asked as the boy removed his hand from his shoulder. The blonde blinked. "Oh, sorry. My name is Alfred. What's yours?" He said, sticking his hand out for Allen to shake.

"Names' Allen, it's nice to meet you." The maroon haired boy replied, trying to remember all the things Oliver had said about being polite to strangers. He reached out to shake Alfred's hand, but flinched back when their hands made contact.

A shock of electricity had shot through his hand when his hand touched Alfred's. "Are you ok?" Alfred asked, worriedly. "Yeah. It's just..." So many different thoughts had begun to fill Allen's head of who Alfred could be.

Could he be some failed clone that Oliver had accidentally conjured up? Wait, why would Oliver be making a clone of him? Now Allen had more questions than answers; great!

"Do I know you from somewhere? I feel like we've met before." Alfred said, tilting his head cutely. Allen shook his head. If they had met before, Allen definitely would have remembered him. Alfred seems to be pretty unforgettable.

Then a look of realization dawned upon Alfred's face. His smile brightened and his eyes widened to look like dinner plates. "I know! You must be my 2p!" Alfred exclaimed, pulling Allen into a hug. The red eyed boy froze at those words. "D-Did you just say 2p?" Allen stuttered out.

There was absolutely no way Alfred could be who he thought he was.

"Yeah, I said 2p. Do you not know about 1ps and 2ps? We're like two halves of each other that were meant to be one. Think of me as your soulmate!" Alfred stopped hugging him to clasp Allen's hands in the blonde's own soft palms.

Allen gaped at Alfred. "You....you're not gonna reject me?" The colony mumbled so quietly that Alfred almost didn't hear him. A look of confusion overtook the other colony's face. "Reject you? Why would I do that? You're a part of me so I don't see why I should reject you." Alfred grinned as Allen felt his face warm up.

"Ok. I never expected this to happen, honestly. 1ps don't normally accept their 2ps." Allen tells Alfred who has a look of dawning realization. "Yeah, I don't really believe that whole thing about 2ps being evil. You don't look scary to me." Allen's eyes widened.

The maroon haired boy said the only thing he could have. "Do you wanna meet my family?" Alfred smiled brightly and nodded. Allen smiled back as the two headed off towards his house.

They were there quicker than Allen had anticipated. A sudden feeling of anxiety overcame Allen as they approached the front door. Matt's crying could be heard even from outside the house. This left Allen unsure of whether or not it was ok to bring Alfred in.

"Hey Allen, who's that crying in there?" Alfred asked, looking curiously at a nearby window. Allen flinched. "That's my older brother. He met his 1p and got rejected. Just like everyone else." Well, everyone except Allen apparently.

"His 1p rejected him? That's sad. Do you know who his 1p is?" Alfred asked, brows furrowed. Allen gave him a blank look. "It's your older brother, you know. He rejected him." Allen told him. The blonde beside him looked a little more than confused.

"Mattie would never do something like that! He loves to love!" Alfred protested. Allen rolled his eyes. "Well he did. And that," Allen pointed at the nearest window where Matt's sobbing could be heard. ", is proof enough." The blonde looked a little shocked as his gaze went between the window and Allen.

Alfred looked down at his feet in sadness and disappointment. "I thought that Mattie was better than that. He said he never believed what Iggy told us about 2ps. I wonder what happened." Alfred muttered out that last part so quietly that Allen almost didn't hear him.

The red eyed boy shook his head. "None of that matters right now. We need to talk to Oliver and see how to deal with this." Still grasping Alfred's hand, Allen opened the door to his house. The crying coming from Matt was more clear now that they were inside the house.

Matt and Oliver were sitting on the couch with Oliver side hugging Matt in an attempt to comfort him. "It's ok. I'm sure he will come around, love." Oliver reassured the Canadian who was still crying. Honestly at this point Allen didn't know how he was still crying. Like he got the emotional aspect of it, but how many tears can his eyes weep?

Allen knew the words Oliver was saying had no reality behind them. Once your 1p rejected you, there was no hope for the bond between them. It might as well have never existed with how useless it was now.

"Oliver!" Allen called out. The Englishman ignored him. Allen huffed. "Oliver!" He tried to get his attention again, but failed just like last time. The maroon haired boy was starting to get annoyed. "OLIVER!!!" Allen screamed at the top of his lungs. Beside him, Alfred jumped at the sudden noise.

Allen normally didn't like shouting, but this was important. It appeared to have gotten the job done since Oliver turned their direction, looking enraged. "What is it Allen?! Can't you see I'm trying to comfort your brother?" Oliver almost growled the words out.

The strawberry blonde hated seeing one of his children so upset. And it was over something of which he had no control. That was the worst part of it all. Now here Allen was, interrupting when Oliver was trying to console Matt the best he could.

His entire body froze when he turned to look over at Allen and saw that someone was with his younger son. Oliver felt like he knew the boy from somewhere. Well, that was probably because he looked a little like Allen. They were the same height and had similar facial structures.

However their hair color , eyes, and skin tone were completely different from each other. Almost as if they were opposite of one another. Oliver immediately stood up from the couch and made his way towards the two boys. Matt looked up when he felt Oliver leave his side then froze just like his father had done.

"A-Allen, who is this?" Oliver stuttered, his eyes immediately going to the middle of the two boys. Their joined hands made Oliver draw even more conclusions than he already had. Allen smirked proudly, his hold on Alfred's hand tightening when he saw Oliver look at their hands.

"He's my 1p." Allen stated with all the pride in his soul.

Oliver went ghost white then, not even a few seconds later, promptly fainted.

Allen smirked yet again as he remembered the look of disbelief on Matt's face. It was satisfying in a sick way that had Allen smiling ear to ear. This was one of the only things that Allen could hold over his head and oh boy, was it fun.

"Having a 1p is kind of exhausting, but he's worth it. You should try it sometime, oh wait you can't." Matt glared at him with a fury that burned bright, though it had no effect on Allen. The red eyed man was used to his brother trying to look scary and had it been anyone else but Allen, it probably would have worked.

"You're such a dick, Allen. It's not fair that your 1p accepts you." The Canadian man growled, fists clenched at his sides. Allen rolled his eyes. "Cry me a river, why don't cha? Now if you excuse me, I'm going to check on Alfred." Allen got off the couch and left the common room, dark violet eyed burning holes into the back of his all the while.

"It isn't fair.." The dark strawberry blonde muttered, clutching his hockey stick tight. It wasn't fair that Allen got to have Alfred while Matt was stuck with Matthew ignoring him for all of eternity. "IT'S NOT FAIR!!!!" Matt suddenly swung his hockey stick in a random direction, knocking over and shattering a vase.

The 2p nation didn't care as he exited the common room like Allen had done. He was seething with anger that was directed at multiple people Allen for bragging about how accepting his 1p was and Matthew for rejecting him without getting to know him first.

Matt felt fat tears start to stream down his face. It was pathetic, really. It wasn't like he could get Matthew to change his mind. Once someone rejected the bond they had with the other nation, it was gone forever. But Allen never knew what that was like. The hollow, empty feeling that carves its way into your heart like a cancer and stays there for as long as you're alive.

And it was all because of Alfred that Allen would never know that feeling. The blonde haired American was too good for Matt's brother. Allen was a screwed up, lazy bastard that did absolutely nothing to deserve Alfred. Matt could definitely make Alfred ten times more happier than if he was with Allen.

A sudden shock ran through Matt's body. What was that thought just now? Take Alfred away Allen? The very idea of it should seem impossible since the two Americans were bonded with each other. But...

Maybe Matt could find a weak spot in the bond. A loophole that would allow him to take Alfred for himself. The young man never knew what it was like to have his other half accept him, but if he bonded himself with Alfred then maybe this feeling of emptiness would go away.

Smirking to himself, Matt's mind conjured a plan that was sure to succeed.

Now where does Oliver keep his spell books?
