Chapter Thirty Four
Natasha’s POV
We got to McDonald’s within a couple of minutes. Y/N was trying to convince me into buying her a coffee, but I quickly shot down the idea, knowing that she wouldn’t be able to sleep. I guess the coffee addiction runs in the family. Y/N and I finally settled on buying a single Happy Meal. Technically, we were allowed to buy it because 1) We were actually paying for it and 2) Y/N is under the age of 12, so…
I wanted to buy a coffee from a nearby Starbucks but apparently in Y/N’s words, “It’s not fair if you can get one but I can’t?! Or we can share… Please? Fine. Either way, you look sleep deprived, so drinking coffee is a bad option. We both know that.”
Y/N kinda had a point though… Anyway, we pulled into the Starbucks parking lot and Y/N stared at me with an unapproving look. “Nat, I’m very disappointed in you,” she said like a disappointed mother. I answered her with, “Dumbass, I parked here to eat.” Y/N turned away, clearly embarrassed at her own comment.
Y/N quickly opened the box, took the toy for herself, gave me the apples and took the chocolate milk and chicken nuggets for herself. Now, it was my turn to mirror her “look of disapproval”. She sighed and handed over two chicken nuggets, keeping two for herself. I wasn’t too hungry, but I kept the apples to myself.
Y/N wolfed down her chicken nuggets and said, “I mean, this shit is good, but dino chicken nuggies hit hard, man.” I responded with, “I have no clue what that meant, but okay.”
GenZ’s are just built differently.
A/N: Damn, Nattie. Why did you say that? (lmao, she’s right tho- we b fucked up)
