After a few days of riding in the circular pen, Clint took me out of it and we rode through the woods surrounding his land.

I learned to not notice the bit attatched to what Napoleon told me was a bridle though.

I did love going on the trails though, I liked them alot more when Clint let me run through them.

I waited at the door of my stall for Clint one morning, and he didn't show up.

Lila and Cooper walked in the barn though, Cooper fed me while Lila fed Napoleon.

I stared at the door, waiting for Clint.

"He probably got called out on another job," Napoleon told me.

I turned to look at him while he was face deep in his food bucket.

"What do you mean?" I asked as I walked over to the window between our stalls.

"His job, he gets called out for it a lot, he leaves for a few days, sometimes weeks. He always comes back though, don't worry about it." Napoleon assured me as he munched on his food.

I wasn't sure about it, but Napoleon seemed nonchalant about it. Maybe he was right, I had nothing to worry about...

Lila walked out of the barn with the food they used for the chickens while Cooper grabbed the brushes.

He walked in my stall first, "Dad says you don't have a name," Cooper said as he brushed my side, "And he said we can't name you because you're for Aunt Nat, but Aunt Nat hasn't been around for a while." He told me.

I turned to look at him, I'd heard of this Nat. I put my muzzle on top of Cooper's head, hoping it provided a small comfort.
