THE ONLY time Austin and Charlotte had to work on long distance was during the summer. Charlotte had gone to the science camp and had spent two months interacting with scientists, doctors, lab technicians, etc. She enjoyed every second of the camp and even befriended some people while she was there.

But one person also remained in her mind.

His name was Dylan and Charlotte hadn't seen him in years, but that was changing today.

Carter had to pull teeth to figure out who Dylan was and get enough information on him to scout him out and bring him to Miami, and that's exactly what he did.

Carter rushed into Sonic Boom, seeing his friends surrounding the counter.

"Act natural." He huffed and joined the others.

"What are you talking about?"

Soon, they heard laughter and watched Charlotte walk into the store with Dylan by her side.

"Who's that?" Austin asked.

"Hey, guys." Charlotte smiled, "This is one of my friends from summer camp. His name is Dylan."

Dylan waved at the others and Ally ventured around the counter, "You want to summer camp? So, did I. It was an arts and crafts camp."

"Really? We went to science camp."

"Of course you did." Trish said.

"Anyways, Dylan really wanted to meet you guys."

"Austin Moon, right?" Dylan asked, "Love the album."

Austin quickly thanked him before drawing his attention towards Charlotte, "So, we're still on for the movies with Kira?"

"Oh..."

"Oh?"

"I forgot." She replied, "I was going to take Dylan to visit my job. You and Kira can come if you want."

Austin pondered many thoughts. He could join Charlotte and Dylan at her job with Kira... but that's like third wheeling.

"But the movies." He whined.

"Next time." She smiled and left the store with Dylan in tow.

"Are they the cutest?" Carter asked.

Austin faced him, "That was cute to you?"

"Yeah. That's why I asked."

"Who was that?" Austin asked.

"Don't you listen?" Trish questioned, "It's Charlotte's cute friend from science camp. Keep up."

"I got that part, but why is he here?"

"I invited him."

"Why?!"

"To see a pretty smile on my friend's face, Moon. No need to get defensive."

"I'm not being defensive."

"So, you're jealous?"

"No... I have a movie to catch."

Austin quickly left Sonic Boom, and Carter looked at the others.

"He's jealous."

CHARLOTTE HAD been MIA on Austin and the majority of her friends for the past three days. She had been joint to the hip with Dylan since he's been in town, and Austin Moon was livid... well, not livid, just upset.

"Hey, Carter. Have you seen Charlotte?"

Carter turned in his seat, eyeing Austin before looking back down at the Mini's menu, "No. She's with Dylan."

"Again? She's been with him for three days!"

"She's livin' life, Austin. You should try it sometime."

"I am livin' life. I'm a pop star, dating Kira Starr-"

"And currently wondering where your ex-girlfriend who you still like is."

"I don't like Charlotte." Austin scoffed, "Did you not hear the "I'm dating Kira Starr" part?"

"I heard it, but like most things you say... I ignored it."

"It's just..." Austin sighed and sat beside Carter, "You're her best friend. What's going on in her mind?"

Carter put his menu down, "I hate to admit this, trust me, I really hate to admit this, but you know Charlotte better than I do. You know exactly what's going on in her mind."

"But why him?"

"Because I chose him."

"You chose him?"

"Charlotte is my best friend and I'm tired of her mopping around wondering when you're ready to get back into a relationship with her, but she's not going to step in between what you and Kira have."

Austin sighed, slumping down in his seat.

"If you still like Charlotte, what was the point of jumping into a new relationship with Kira?"

"I don't know! I thought maybe... I wasn't thinking, okay?"

"Clearly." Carter said, "Look, Austin, we both care about Charlotte, so I'm going to tell you this. Don't hurt her. She wants to be in a relationship with you, but you hop."

"Hop?"

"Charlotte, Brooke, that one model, Kira. You've been with everyone, and when Charlotte said she was ready, you moved on."

"But I didn't move on!" Austin exclaimed, jumping from his seat, "Well, my feelings didn't move on. I still like Charlotte."

"And you're with Kira because?"

"I also like her."

"Wow, Austin Moon likes another girl while dating someone else? Shocker." Carter smiled, holding a dull tone.

"What do I do?"

"My advice. Go with your heart instead of your gut."

Austin nodded slowly. Go with his heart. Well... that was easy.

"Want mini pancakes?" Carter asked.

Austin returned to his seat, "You're not too bad, Carter."

"Thanks, Austin... I'm not going to compliment you."

A very unlikely blond boy duo. Who would've thought?
