ONE. movin' on up and away

A LOT could change in three months.

But something that had stayed pretty solid was the relationship between Charlotte and Austin.

Now that Austin had been fired from Starr Records, he had all the time in the world to hang out with Charlotte, even if she was at work... well she doesn't work there anymore.

It was an internship and it was over. She knew that it would look great on her college applications and now she could focus on school and her hopefully everlasting relationship with Austin.

They had planned on going to Ally's last show which happened to be in Miami and they'd arrived a little early to get the view of everything.

It didn't take a rocket scientist to realize that Austin missed being on stage and singing his heart out to his fans. It has only been 3 months but still, that was a lot of doing nothing career wise for him.

His best friend was out of state, Trish and Carter weren't around to make fun of him, and Ally had been traveling across the world.

But everyone was back in town and things seemed to look very bright for everyone.

"How has Austin been since the you know what?" Carter asked.

"He seems happy to me." Charlotte smiled, "Never better actually. He'll play me a song here and there, but he hasn't really made anything new."

"That's good. Now it's time to talk about me and my life for once."

"I'm all ears."

Charlotte really did miss Carter's almost life endangering antics but she was glad that he was having fun with Dez at film school.

"So... what are you wearing to Ally's last show?"

"Nothing special?"

"Wrong!" Carter said, standing from his seat, "Let's go find a look."

As much as Charlotte missed her overbearing, somewhat cocky, only seemed to care for her, best friend... she didn't miss the shopping adventures he would drag her to.

ALLY'S LAST show absolutely blew the roof off of the place, but nothing could've shocked the teens more than Austin saying he was excited to go back to school.

"I'm excited to go back to school because the six of us get to spend our senior year together." He smiled.

"Oh, yeah!" Charlotte smiled, "Do you think they'll let us take our cap and gown photos together?"

"Oh that would be cool!" Austin said, "I came up with a cool nickname for us: The fearsome sixsome."

"You should work on that one." Charlotte reassured.

"I'm not going back to school." Trish quipped, "I'm getting my diploma online, so I can go back on the road with Boynado."

The four wished her a congratulations as she walked off to answer yet another call from the band.

"Well, at least were all still gonna be together, the fearsome fivesome."

"Dude, Carter and I are going back to L.A. for film school."

"You are?" Charlotte asked.

Austin began stuttering over his words to speak to Dez, "You said you were making a film in Miami."

"Yeah, a short film. It's called, Ally performs in Miami. I just finished it."

"Our plan was to be here for a few days and head back." Carter said, "But hey, we're always a video chat away... Now we have to go because Dez will start crying and I'm normally the little spoon."

Carter dragged Dez away as soon as he made a very high pitched whine.

Soon, it left Austin, Ally, and Charlotte.

"I'm bummed Dez, Carter, and Trish aren't gonna be with us, but at least I get to spend my senior year with my best friend and my girlfriend." Austin smiled, "The fearsome threesome. I mean, unless Ally's heading off to Switzerland."

Ally stayed silent as she looked up at the two.

"You're going to Switzerland?" The couple asked.

"Ronnie Ramone called me before the show. The tour did so well that he booked me a European tour. It... starts next week."

"Congratulations, Ally." Charlotte praised and watched the girl walk off to take a phone call from Ronnie.

She heard Austin sigh from behind her. He sat on one of the many boxes with a sad expression on his face.

"Fearsome twosome?" He asked.

"Fearsome twosome." She reassured.

She rested her hands on his shoulder, kissing his forehead ever so slightly and pulled him in for a hug.

"I'm sorry things turned out this way."

She left Austin take one last heavy sigh before wrapping his arms around her torso.

She knew that a lot of things that Austin had set up for himself came crashing down in once he announced to the world that he had a girlfriend.

Charlotte didn't know how or if she could fix this. She wouldn't want anyone holding her back from the things that she would want to do... so why would she stop them.

THE NEXT day rolled around and everyone had been sitting in Sonic Boom; Austin gently strumming the guitar.

"Hey, instead of being sad about everyone going their separate ways, let's talk about the next time we can get together." Ally suggested.

"I'm free pretty much every day, except, like..." Austin trailed off, "No. I'm free always."

"Yeah, me too. I finished my internship so it's just school for me." Charlotte said.

"How about the first weekend of October?" Trish asked.

"I'm in Barcelona." Ally sighed.

"How about the sixth?" Dez suggested, "No, wait, I can't. How about the seventh? No, wait, I can't. The eighth? No, wait, I can't. The ninth? No, wait, I can't."

"Okay, let's forget October." Carter said, "November?"

"I'm in Milan."

"When do you get back, Ally?" Charlotte asked.

"Uh... Christmas."

"I can do Christmas." Trish said.

"We can also do Christmas." Carter added.

"Great, so Christmas it is."

The cheers soon turned into groans. Christmas was months away.

"Well, it'll be here before you know it." Austin reassured, "Anyways, I got you guys a little something. Matching backpacks. They were supposed to be for school, but why let them go to waste? They all say fearsome sixsome and have our names on them."

"Oh, how come mine says Trish?" Dez asked.

"Because that one's not yours."

"Oh, cool mine says Ally."

CHARLOTTE SAT on her bed reading yet another book when she heard tapping against her window.

She glanced over and playfully rolled her eyes. She opened the window and allowed Austin inside.

"Hey, I've missed you." He said, kissing her.

"I just saw you an hour ago."

"I still missed you." He smiled, "Can I spend the night?"

She knew that he had been upset that his senior year wasn't going to plan and they hadn't even walked into the building yet. The least she could do was comfort him the best way she could.

The night involved the two of them just being in each other's presence. Charlotte didn't know if Austin was extremely sad because it seemed as if he was savoring every last moment with her.

"I'm sorry things-"

Austin sighed, "It's okay. I promise. Maybe I just need to look at things differently."

She held a small smile as she lifted her head from his chest, "That's the spirit. Just think about the good things. We'll be taking on our senior year together."

Austin looked lost in thought as Charlotte continued to speak.

She glanced up at him one last time before declaring they should sleep, seeing that they would have to say goodbye to everyone in the morning.

Expect when Charlotte woke up that morning, Austin was gone. She didn't think much of it as she could only assume that he left to get a different change of clothes.

She was about to head out when Mrs. Moon stood in the living room with her mother.

Mrs. Moon handed Charlotte an envelope and once she opened it and read it, her mouth fell agape.

"He wants you to give the others their letters."

"Oh, they'll get their letters."

Charlotte made her way to Sonic Boom when she saw her four friends walking down the stairs.

"We've decided to stay!" Carter smiled.

"You couldn't say this yesterday!"

"We think about it yesterday, silly." Dez smiled.

"Austin's going to military school!" Charlotte exclaimed, "He left this morning."

"I can't believe Austin left for military school without even saying goodbye." Ally said.

"We have to get down there and stop him before he's officially enrolled." Trish added.

They made their fairly long journey to the military school and only had a half hour to find Austin and convince him not to go to military school.

There were several trails and tribulations in order to get inside but it didn't and shouldn't have taken that long because all they had to do was sign in.

But as they entered the barber shop the blond hair had already been chopped off and there was no going back.

"Guys? What are you doing here?"

"Military school?" Charlotte asked.

"We've decided to stay in Miami, so we can enjoy our senior year together." Ally said.

"What? Really?" He smiled, "The fearsome sixsome is back."

"You keep working on that name."

And just like that the "fearsome sixsome" we're back and they were going to kick off their senior year with a bang.
