CHARLOTTE TAYLOR was no stranger to the public eye. She did have the horrible name of "Austin Moon's ex-girlfriend" and "the girl who broke Austin's heart," but people often referred to her as Charlotte Taylor.

Charlotte loved music, and Austin only amplified that passion for her, but her heart always seemed to follow into the path of being a doctor. Nothing would change that idea.

But, if Austin needed her, she would come. Same vice versa.

So, when he told Charlotte that he could get her a part in his new big budget music video, she was on board.

What neither of them knew was that Dez had already hired someone else to play the part of Austin's girlfriend in the video.

Charlotte stood with Kira Starr. The two of them talking back and forth about different things. Charlotte, every now and then, took her time to catch her breath because Kira Starr had horrible breath.

Kira took notice of Austin and approached him. Charlotte noticed his quick halt. He held an upright position and stumbled Charlotte's way.

"How were you talking to her?"

"You take a deep breath before she speaks."

"Charlotte." Austin cried.

"She told me that Dez hired her to play your girlfriend in the video, and she's a really pretty girl, so... suck it up?"

"You're also a pretty girl! Who's breath doesn't stink!"

Charlotte smiled, "Dez is directing his first ever big budget music video and he hired her. It's only for two days. You'll be fine. If push comes to shove, I'll be here. Besides, Carter works here, so I'll have company when you're busy."

"Carter is fawning over Dez! This isn't fair!"

Charlotte held her soft smile and put her two fingers onto the corners of Austin's mouth, making him smile.

"It's two days. I'll be right here."

Austin grabbed her hands, holding them tightly as he held his eyes wide, "You'll be here where the air is clean."

Charlotte pushed him away, and he sat right next to Kira on the ferris wheel. Once Trish secured their belts, she sent them around, and when told to slow it down, she ripped the leaver from its place.

Austin was stuck on top of the ferris wheel with Kira for an hour before the maintenance man could come, and when Austin could finally get on the ride, he could kiss the ground... literally.

"Dez, replace her with Charlotte." Austin begged.

"You can't, Dez. You don't understand how fragile a girl's ego is. If you make her feel insecure, she'll die inside." Ally said.

"I think something already died inside." Dez corrected.

Ally scoffed, "I'm gonna go get Kira ready for the next scene 'cause I know you're going to do the right thing and not replace her."

As Ally walked off, Dez began to speak, "Forget about her feelings. I can't replace her, we're about to shoot the two of you in the big hamster-ball ride."

Charlotte stepped forward. Carter had come from his break and stood with the girl as they watched Ally help Kira get ready from inside the hamster ball.

Soon, sudden shouts could be heard. The zipper from the outside had broken and Ally was trapped inside the hamster ball with Kira.

Charlotte dug around her bag and pulled out a pointed nail file, and as hard as she could, jammed it into the side of the ball, popping it instantly.

"I was wrong. You gotta replace her." Ally huffed.

"That's what I've been saying." Austin said, "Dez, you've got to do this."

"Let me think. If we give the part to Charlotte before we shoot tomorrow. I can cut her on the stuff we've already shot and... Kira, we need to talk."

"I think the bullhorn might be much, don't you think?" Charlotte asked.

"Well, I don't want to talk to her up close."

"Isn't that Jimmy over there?" Carter asked.

"Sweetie!"

"Daddy!"

"Jimmy is Kira's dad?"

Austin sighed, "Aw, man, you know what that means?"

"She'll have a rose home after we fire her?" Dez asked.

"You can't fire her." Charlotte said.

Soon, Jimmy came into view, catching the group's eyes.

"We didn't know Kira was your daughter." Austin smiled.

"I wanted her to get the part on her own."

"Yeah, she's taken our breaths away." Charlotte smiled.

"I've always known she was talented, ever since she sang to that cat before he ran away."

"How can you stand that?" Austin asked, his face scrunching at the thought of Kira's breath.

Charlotte grabbed onto Austin's arm, pulling her behind him. Her back pressed against his chest, "How can you stand that we are taking away precious father daughter time?"

"We talk a lot on the phone."

"Wish we had that option." Carter muttered.

"Listen, Dez, I'm taking a big chance putting you in charge of this video. I expect great things." Jimmy said, "Show me around the set, sweetie."

"What are we gonna do?" Dez asked, "The big kissing scene is coming up."

"There's a kissing scene?" Charlotte asked.

"Duh, it's a romantic music video about two teens in love, Charlotte. Keep up.

"Look," Carter sighed, "all we have to do is freshen her breath without her knowing."

"I agree, but you gotta be subtle." Ally added.

"Please! I know how to be subtle." Trish laughed.

The group separated and tried countless ways to get Kira to freshen her breath... but all attempts failed.

"Hey, are you okay?" Carter asked.

"Yeah, I mean, this just tells me that my breath doesn't stink... right?" Charlotte questioned.

"Your breath is fine, but that's not what I meant. I was talking about this kiss Austin and Kira have to do."

"Oh... I can't tell Dez what to do for his music video, plus firing her could somehow mess this up for Austin."

"You can't tell him... but I can."

Charlotte rolled her eyes and pulled her friend back, "You and Austin are literally waiting for the other to say something about liking each other. If Kira gets in the way of that-"

"Kira is a pretty girl, okay... and something... it happens, and maybe that's my sign to move on also."

Carter sighed, "Fine. But I'm still all in for the "ruining her life" plan."

"Her father is the owner of a record company. Don't test anyone."

Dez called the duo over. The new plan was to get Kira to quit by showing her how disgusting Austin could be.

"I'm going to drool all over her."

"I'm attaching this drool tube to Austin's cheek using this fake piece of skin. You won't even know he has it on." Dez explained, "Check it out."

And with a simple push of a button the fake drool pulled from the tube.

They gathered Kira to the set and placed her next to Austin. She instantly squealed at the sight of the drool pouring and she quickly quit saying that she didn't want to be an actress anyway.

Things seemed to work out.

THE NEXT day the group stood in Sonic Boom discussing the new plans for the music video starring Charlotte instead.

"Austin, I heard what happened." Jimmy said, entering the store.

"You did?"

"How could you not tell me you have a drooling problem?"

"What?"

"Kira told me you drool. It's okay, son. I too was a drooler."

"Uh, well, then you must know, it's been hard."

"We know it bothered Kira, but don't worry." Dez smiled, "We cast Charlotte in her place so we can finish the video."

"Forget it. Thank you for your time Charlotte." Jimmy stepped towards the door, "Austin, there's someone here who wants to apologize."

Kira came in and apologized, stating that she would continue the music video. So, Jimmy fired Charlotte and Kira was instantly rehired.

With that said, Austin now how to speak in front of many kids about his drooling problem, which went as horribly as expected. The group decided to just come clean about the fake drooling story and tell Jimmy that Kira's breath was absolutely awful.

Instead of firing her, Jimmy decided that they would keep Austin and Kira apart for the video and the kiss the two of them shared would reside inside of two separate hamster balls.

"So, Austin kissed another girl in front of you. How did you feel?" Carter asked, using his corndog as a makeshift microphone.

"Her breath stinks. I think that's something she needs to worry about."

"So, you feel snappy." Carter smiled.

"It's not like that actually kissed, you know? Besides, her breath stinks."

"Her dad is the owner of a record company. He's going to get that problem fixed overnight."

Charlotte rested her hand on her hip, "I thought her father being the owner of a record company meant nothing to you."

"It means nothing to me when it comes to you."

Charlotte smiled, "Stop worrying about me so much."

"If I'm not doing it, who will?"

"Hey, Dez is sitting by himself. Go join him."

Carter gently pushed her and made his way towards Dez.

Austin soon approached the girl, "Hey, wanna ride the ferris wheel. I promise we won't get stuck up there for an hour."

"For sure." She smiled.

Charlotte and Austin always had a good time with each other. Neither of them had a dull moment when they were together.

The downside? Someone else might not like how close the two of them were.
