Forever and Always

(This was a request from kashiitenzo!! Sorry it took so long!)

"Tenzo!" I whispered yelled from my perch above him. He stirred in his sleep opening his eyes looking up at me, "Hmm? What's wrong?" I held up two fingers and pointed West. Tenzo slowly rose from his sleeping bag slipping his ANBU mask on and crouched through the bushes. I quietly dropped down from my branch and followed behind him.

We've been on this mission for two months already escorting some far away Lord. With Kakashi being out of the ANBU that leaves me and Tenzo as the most capable and reliable for this mission. This Lord apparently has made some serious enemies along the way to his position of power. But it's not our job to ask questions or judge someone's past, no one is innocent.

Not Tenzo,

Not Kakashi,

Not even me.

Being an Ex Assassin from the Hidden Rain Village, turned ANBU from the Hidden Leaf, I have many sins under my belt but that's neither here nor there.

Me and Tenzo peeked from our hiding spot in the bushes to see two Hidden Rain ANBU crouching on a tree branch communicating through hand signals. Tenzo turned to me and I deciphered what they were saying using our own hand signals.

She's here.

Track her down.

Kill her.

Bring the body back.

He wants her head.

They were here for me and not the Lord we were escorting. Tenzo held up a closed fist to me and pointed to the two ANBU. Don't engage unless you have to.

I nodded my head as we silently drifted off to the right abandoning our previous camp sit and away from the sleeping Lord and his escorts. When we were far enough away I turned to Tenzo, "The Hidden Rain is looking for me, they also want me dead and my head on a pike."

Tenzo snatched off his mask, his eyes wild with anger and worry. "Why the hell would they be after you?" I sighed taking off my own mask, "I betrayed the Hidden Rain."

"What do you mean?"

"When I arrived at the Hidden Leaf six years ago, I had orders to kill the Hokage. But, the Hokage had already saved my life once when she didn't even have to..." My fingers softly grazed the thick scar across my throat. "Instead I gave her a warning, and to prove my loyalty and worth I went out and killed some of the Rain's ANBU that were hidden in the Mountains as my backup." Tenzo's eyes lingered on my throat before shifting back to my eyes.

"Can we take them?"

I sighed looking in the direction the men were in, "Maybe. Not knowing who they are it's gonna be tricky. I'll go first, draw them out and you come from behind." I turned on my heel but Tenzo grabbed my wrist before slipping his hand in mine squeezing it. "Please..." I wasn't one for PDA, being touched gave me chills, but somehow Tenzo was able to touch me and I not feel physically ill. I smiled softly before turning back to face him. I grabbed the side of his face and kissing him softly. I felt him relax under my touch and sigh through his nose. "Wait for my signal."

"Okay." We let each other go and I hurried off.

I quietly apporached the group of ANBU, spilling out my kunai. A tall lanky man walked passed the bush I was hiding in not knowing that his death was waiting for him. As his back was to me I jumped from the bushes slicing his throat. I turned to run back to my hiding place when the cool kiss of steel touch my neck. "Ah. Ah. Ah missy. We've been waiting for you." I set my eyes as cold as they could be staring my attacker down.

"Hope you didn't wait long." Sneering I shoved the sword away and kicked him in his stomach. I dashed to the right but three men blocked my path, "The Boss wants you back, dead or alive. Now!" A barrage of voices yelled out different Jutsu styles, and by the hair of my neck I managed to pull up a mud wall before any touched me. As the mud wall protected me I ran into the woods whistling out mine and Tenzo's stress call.

"Y/N!" He yelled out, panic in his voice.

"Tenzo!" I called back as I ran. A heavy body fell on me from behind knocking me and him go the ground, tumbling forwards. The man sat up kneeling over me as he held up his kunai. "Hanzo sends his regards." As the kunai came down stabbing me in the shoulder a foot connected with his face knocking him off of from me.

"Y/N?!" Tenzo helped me sit up as I yanked out the kunai. "Bastard." I said through clenched teeth. Tenzo leaped into action as I stood up holding onto my shoulder. As I took a step to help Tenzo a hand wrapped around my throat and began to squeeze. I clawed at the hand thrashing around to free myself but it was no use. I was losing air quickly and couldn't pull any more in to fill my lungs.

"T-T-T...ACK!" The hand got tighter as black spots began to form in my vision. Colors were blurring together as my body became weak. All sounds vanished around me. My hands dropped to my sides and my eyes began to flutter close, the last thing I saw was Tenzo's eyes wide as the moon as he silently screamed out.

Then there was darkness.

I felt warm, every warm... My throat was so dry and it throbbed. My hand instinctively went to my neck as I sat up quickly. A crackling fire by my feet and a blanket draped over me. My shirt was cut and my wound was bandaged.

"Y-youre awake. I'm glad." I looked over to my left and saw Tenzo slowly cleaning his own wound on his stomach. I jolted out of my make shift bed and hurried to his side taking the bottle of water and rag from his hands.

"Ar-" I winced at the pain in my throat as I tried to talk. Tenzo placed his hand on cheek and shushed me, "Don't try to talk. Your windpipe is damaged, if you try to talk you might damaged it more." I nodded my head as I poured water on his stab wound. We made quick eye contact and he sighed.

"After you were unconscious I...I don't know... I went berserk. Seeing your face turn blue and eyes water I lost all control."

I pat dried his wound before placing a thick layer of gauze over it. I nudged him to continue, "So I killed them all..." He looked down at his hands in his lap, "I thought you were dead," He clenched his hands into fists. "I saw nothing but red and tore through them like they were butter." He leaned up as I wrapped bandages around his waist and set him back down once I was done. He reached up, fingertips softly tracing the finger shaped bruises on my throat. "You've been through so much hell, and I couldn't protect you from any of it." His eyes began to water, he gripped the back of my neck and pulled out foreheads together. "If I had truly lost you earlier...no one would be safe from the wrath I would unleash." I smiled softly bringing our lips together. The kiss was soft and sweet, but Tenzo had other plans. He grabbed my hips pulling me into his lap where he wrapped his arms around my waist and held me close to him.

"You are my everything. My one and only, without you...there is no me."

He trailed kisses down my neck and shoulder. When he reached where my shirt was torn he pulled it down all the way exposing my breasts to him. I was a little embarrassed, giving me and Tenzo haven't done anything like this yet, but seeing the fear in his eyes as I was passing out I wanted him to feel close to me. To cling to my body for just a little while longer.

His lips grazed my chest and down the valley of my breasts leaving little purple marks as he goes. I could feel his excitement below me as his hands traveled to my ass and pushed it down on him. "I want to feel you." He breathed against my breasts, "I want to be inside of you." His hips thrusted up making me gasp in surprise. "I want to know that you are mine and I am yours." I held onto his head pushing him further into my body as he kissed and sucked all over my breasts and chest.

"I love you so damn much." I lifted his head so our eyes could meet, pure shock and awe written across my face as small tears bubbled in my eyes. "A-again..."

"I love you." I nodded my head,

"I love you."

I leaned down crashing our lips together in a fiery kiss, one full of spit and love. He laid me down and caress my cheek, "Forever and always."

And that night was spent wrapped in each other's arms and sweet nothings were spoken.
